ESPN Friday Night Fights thread...

Aztec4Life

Montezuma Mesa Survivor
Figured I'd get this up and running again for me, twink, Jab, madshooter, and anyone else who cares.

I'll post the matchups and some thoughts a little later.

Rico Ramos (21-2, 11 KO) vs Oscar Gonzalez (20-2, 14 KO).

Co-Feature

Super Middleweight fight

Should be some entertaining scraps. I'm sure twink will be around to help me start up an In-Game/In-Fight discussion.

Holy shit! What a start to FNF! L.A. native Oscar Molina floors Gardner twice in the 1st round, KO'ing him in under two minutes! What a clean hook!

Why is the sky blue?

How many kilometers in a mile?

How much does the standard boxing glove weigh (just kidding)

I recorded it to show my boys tmrw. Horseman just took a beating lol

any odds on these early foghts? Just curious

And its over! Lampkin gets off the canvas in the 2nd to KO Horseman in the 3rd!!!!

Two fights, four rounds, four knockdowns, and two KO's!

FIREWORKS FELLAS!!

BHop still doin work after all these years. One of the most amazing athletes/boxers of all time. Dude is damn near 50 years old, moppin up dudes 30 years younger than him. Unreal!

Cant believe bhop either

cool to see ray lampkins son...just went n watched the duran/lampkin fight on youtube

gobzalez gonna win btw

You could be right. Ramos needs to rack up the early rounds after cutting so much weight...and he still didn't make weight in the end. His corner cut a deal with Gonzalez and crew.

Ramos utilizing the entire ring effectively so far. Solid footwork, overall. Gonzalez just following him around. Needs to fire out the jab some more

Gonzalez definitely has the edge in power. Problem is, he's not landing much. Seems like he's waiting for Ramos to fade.

Gave the first two rounds to Ramos. 3rd could go either way, though I scored it for Gonzalez, just barely.

There you go, Slaptron! Gonzalez floors Ramos in the 6th, but Ramos survives.

Fight definitely turning in Gonzalez favor...Ramos starting to fade.

Round 7...

Ramos recovered nicely at the end of Round 7. Fight is slowly but surely becoming more entertaining as Ramos slows down.

Round 8...

Ramos' only chance of winning this fight is to continue utilizing the entire ring. He's effective when he picks his spots, then immediately moves out of range.

When he stands in front of Gonzalez, it's only a matter of time before he gets caught and ends up in trouble.

Undecided on Round 8, though I'm leaning to Gonzalez. Close fight right now, including the knockdown in Round 6.
