Kicking myself for not playing a unit on TT Su last night. Complete beatdown by the Raiders.

I've gone over this game a number of times and don't understand why Zona is favored by more than 3. They have a much better third down percentage, but across all the numbers, these teams are fairly even. Both like to run the ball, and suck at throwing it. BC defends the rush better than Zona. Both limit penalties, have even turnover margins. BC has played much better down the stretch and comes in on a nice run. Aside from Zona's win vs. Oregon which was a bad day for the Ducks BC's wins are much more impressive. Note for halftime - both of these teams BLOW at throwing the football so if either of them are down big at the half, it makes sense to take the team who is up again in the second half. Bad passing teams forced to pass tend to turn it over, and when they do both of these teams can score.

Stat I like - BC is second in the nation in overall red zone scoring percentage.

Their D line is better than Zona's too. BC 34 - Zona 28

After a big day yesterday, and looking at the rest of the card - I'm going to be scaling back big time the rest of the way. I haven't had time to fully cap the rest of the card, but there are a bunch of games that are tough to find much value, starting with tonight's matchup. I do have a bit of interest in the Clemson/OSU game, and the NC game, and Ball State is worth a long long, but that number may be a bit lofty.

Tonight's game is interesting on a few levels with two storied programs and two legends of the coaching world meeting in the Sugar Bowl. I don't think Oklahoma matches up well at all with the Tide, but this game reminds me so much of the year Bama lost the SEC championship game to Florida and went on to play a Utah team that was roughly a 17 point dog. Bama just didn't show up, and I think they may do the same here. Tide should kill them, but I'm not confident enough to bet it. I could see the total going either way, but I may look at OU TT under for a half unit or so.

Maybe Dollaz. It so fucking tough to try and cap the motivation of these kids this time of year. I always try to refrain from getting sucked into the vortex that goes along with this. This is just such a classic letdown spot, that it makes it hard to ignore. Despite Bama being superior on paper, laying such a big number in what to me is a great spot for OU, coming of the Bedlam win, and a bad spot for Bama coming off the Iron Bowl debacle, that it would make it really tough for me to put any kind of substantial wager on Bama here. They look to be the right side - but ignoring the situation to me is a big mistake.

GL if you play it. UNDER is starting to look enticing to me, but this game just doesn't look appealing at all from a wagering perspective. Much better to sit and wait this one out. Someone mentioned it in another thread (Shark, I think) - we should know by halftime who showed up tonight. Probably a good way to play this one is sit and wait til half and have the motivational question answered.

Of course, there's always that +540 wager sitting there staring us all in the face. If we really think there's a chance Bama doesn't show up for this game, one could argue that being the best way to play this one...

Haha!!! I just went back and check the standings and saw you weren't up there anymore, so I edited my previous post. I knew we were running neck and neck there for a while. Quite honestly I don't know how I'm doing as well as I am. I have been pretty atrocious. The only thing I have done well is put almost all of my losers at the bottom end of the pool.
