[h=3]1) Running Back Rampage[/h]
matt-forte-300x200.jpg

Matt Forte (vs. San Francisco 49ers) – In case you haven’t heard, this isn’t your 2013 49ers defense. They are missing arguably their two best defensive players in NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith. Last week the Cowboys shot themselves in the foot time and time again despite being able to move the ball at will. The Cowboys racked up 382 yards from scrimmage with 127 of those coming on the ground. DeMarco Murray was a top 5 RB against the Niners D last week and I’m expecting a similar result for Forte this week. Forte is coming off of a big Week 1 performance against the Bills who have a very tough front-4. Forte only rushed 17 times, but caught 8 balls out of the backfield for a total of 25 touches and 169 total yards.
Arian Foster (vs. Oakland Raiders) – Prior to Week 1, the Texans declared Foster healthier than he had been in a long time. Any concern of a possible time split was quickly put to rest as Jonathan Grimes and Alfred Blue combined for 2 touches while Foster saw 29 touches against the Redskins. He’s clearly their workhorse back and even though he only averaged 3.7 YPC, he ran with power and confidence which was good to see. While this offense clearly needs some work, there are few every down RB’s left in the NFL and you can take Foster at an extreme discount this week. Not only that, but he draws a terrific matchup against a Raiders defense that gave up a league-high 212 rushing yards in Week 1.
[h=3]2) Top QB/WR/TE Handcuffs[/h]
andrew-luck-300x200.jpg

Andrew Luck / Reggie Wayne / T.Y. Hilton – We’ve heard all preseason that this is Andrew Luck’s year to shine. While the Colts fell short on the comeback trail against the Broncos, Luck did not disappoint his fantasy owners. He finished with 389 yards from scrimmage and 3 TD’s. This week he’ll look to post even better numbers as he is facing the Philadelphia Eagles that Chip Kelly’s fast-paced offense. This game should be a shootout and with little to no run game, expect another big outing from Luck. This week I will be pairing him with Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton. In Week 1 against the Broncos, Wayne was targeted 13 times and Hilton was targeted 11 times.
Andy Dalton / A.J. Green / Jermaine Gresham – The Bengals are always a sneaky play in tournaments. Whether it’s the red hair or the fact that he plays on the Bengals, people seem to forget about Andy Dalton each week. Dalton threw for 301 yards in their opener against the Ravens and is primed for an even better fantasy outing this week against the Atlanta Falcons at home. The Falcons gave up 333 passing yards to Drew Brees last week and if it weren’t for 3 Saints rushing TD’s, Brees would have easily been a top-5 fantasy QB. Pair Dalton up with his favorite WR A.J. Green as well as his TE Jermaine Gresham. The Bengals will be without both Marvin Jones and Tyler Eifert this week which should really open up targets for both Green and Gresham.
[h=3]3) Target Watch[/h]This section is all about targets in the passing game. It can include players to watch for that are seeing a lot of targets, players to avoid, or anything else that I feel pertinent for the week ahead.
brandon-marshall-300x200.jpg

Brandon Marshall vs. Alshon Jeffery – Last season we saw a pretty even distribution of targets between these two with McCown at the helm, but Jay Cutler loves Brandon Marshall. That rang true once again in Week 1 as Marshall saw 12 targets (8 catches for 81 yards) while Jeffery only saw 6 targets (5 catches for 71 yards). I still think Jeffery is going to be a fantasy beast this season, but until we see a more even distribution, Marshall looks like the better play of the two for cash games.
Giovani Bernard – It’s not often when a RB see double-digit targets in the passing game, so when it happens, it’s certainly worth noting. Giovani Bernard saw 10 targets from Andy Dalton last week against the Ravens and hauled in 6 of those for 62 yards. With Marvin Jones and Tyler Eifert both out this week, don’t be surprised to see Dalton utilize his talented RB once again.
Dennis Pitta – Pitta saw 15 targets last week against the Bengals which led all TE’s. The next highest TE saw 11 targets. Flacco leaned on Pitta early and often and it looks like that could be a trend that we will see throughout the season. Pitta’s price is likely to skyrocket here soon, so targeting him against the Steelers this week may be the last time to take him at a reasonable price.
[h=3]4) Shootout of the Week[/h]Last week’s shootout ended up almost exactly as Vegas had predicted. The Broncos won by 7 while both teams combined to score 55 points. This week’s featured shootout is between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts. Both of these teams have offenses that can put up points in a hurry. This game features the highest total of the week at 53.5 points. The Colts are only favored by 3 and if there was a single game that I had to choose to stack this week, this would be it.
[h=3]5) Bold Prediction[/h]
robert-griffin%20iii-300x200.jpg

Robert Griffin III will be a top-7 fantasy QB this week. I was tempted to predict a top-5 performance, but I want to start off on the right foot and top-5 may be a stretch. Griffin looked awful in last week’s loss to the Texans. He only averaged 3.7 yards per completion which was the 2nd lowest in any game in his entire career. The good news for RGIII is that J.J. Watt will no longer haunt his nightmares. This week he draws a much more favorable matchup against a suspect Jacksonville secondary. While the Jaguars defense is better this season, they are still the Jags (coming from a Jags fan). We all saw what the Eagles offense was able to do in the 2nd half of their Week 1 matchup. Look for the Redskins to open up the playbook this week and allow RGIII to make more plays outside of the pocket.

[h=1]CFB Week 3[/h][h=2]Value/Under the Radar Plays:[/h]
daxx%20garman.jpg

QB Daxx Garman (Oklahoma State): This might be the most popular pick for value play of the week at QB. With the injury to JW Walsh, Garman will get all the reps. He was really pushing Walsh to begin with. Last week he threw for 244 yards and 2 TD’s after taking over mid-way through the game.
QB Justin Holman (UCF): UCF might be 1-0 if they started Holman in their 1st game. Holman came in the 2nd half and threw for 204 yards and 1 touchdown. He also ran for a TD. This game with Missouri will be high scoring.
RB Thomas Rawls (Central Michigan): Through 2 weeks Rawls has the most carries of any RB in the country. During the 1st two games he has 56 carries for 278 yards and 3 TD’s. He also can catch the ball out of the backfield. Syracuse doesn’t scare you on defense.
RB Josh Robinson (Mississippi State): The Bulldogs really haven’t had a feature RB for the last couple of years. This year it appears they do in Robinson. Last week he had 20 carries for 124 yards and 1 score.
WR Travin Dural (LSU): To say Dural is a game changer is a understatement. So far this season he has 6 catches for 291 yards and 4 TD’s. Yes, that is 48.5 yards per catch.
WR KD Cannon (Baylor): Yes, his price might have went up but he is still under the radar. With all the injuries to Baylor WR’s someone had to step up and that was Cannon. Last game he caught 6 passes for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns.
[h=2]Stock Report:[/h]Stock Up
QB Cyles Miles (Washington): Miles was suspended for the 1st game, but returned last week and had a very good game. He finished with 3 rushing touchdowns and he threw for another. He gets to face a Illinois defense that is really bad this week.
QB Sefo Liufau (Colorado): Liufau has gotten off to a great start this season. Last week he threw for 318 yards and 3 TD’s. In both of the 1st two weeks he has thrown close to 40 passes. Like last season the Buffaloes have quality WR’s
RB Shadrach Thornton (NC State): There is no doubt Thornton is the most talented RB on the roster but he is always battling off field issues. Looks like those are behind him, as last Saturday he ran for 86 yards and 3 TD’s.
RB David Cobb (Minnesota): Cobb proved once again what a work horse back he can be. Last week he ran 29 times for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Golden Gophers ran the ball 50 times to 11 passes last game.
will%20fuller%202.jpg

WR Will Fuller (Notre Dame): With Daniels out because of academics, Fuller is the WR that has stepped up in his absence. Last week against Michigan he had 9 catches for 89 yards and a TD.
WR Kevin White (West Virginia): It is clear after the 1st two weeks of the season that White is the favorite target of Clint Trickett. Through two weeks he has 19 catches for 244 yards.
Stock Down
QB JT Barrett (Ohio State): Last game Barrett showed he is still a work in progress. Against VT he completed just 9 passes out of 29 attempts. He also threw 3 picks. The Buckeyes might also get the backup some work next game.
QB CJ Brown (Maryland): When Brown doesn’t do work on the ground, he is not that great of a passer to reach value. Last game he accounted for 3 turnovers and ran for negative yards.
RB Melvin Gordon (Wisconsin): You would think that Wisconsin could run the ball on Western Illinois, but that wasn’t the case. Gordon rushed the ball 17 times for just 38 yards. Have to do better than 2.2 yards per carry against Western Illinois.
RB Bryon Marshall (Oregon): Or should we say WR Bryon Marshall? It seems Marshall is more of a pass catcher this season than a RB. Last game he had just 5 carries for 9 yards. Marshall was thought to be the starting RB but other players have emerged.
WR Jerico Richardson (Nevada): In week 1 Richardson caught 13 passes for 177 yards. Last week he had no catches. Richardson is still listed as the 3rd WR on the depth chart.
Jameon Lewis (Mississippi State): Lewis had a monster year last season, but this year so far he has only caught 4 passes for 31 years.
[h=2]Fades for the Week:[/h]
devin%20gardner%202.jpg

QB Devin Gardner (Michigan): Turnover prone Gardner returned against Notre Dame. He threw 3 interceptions and fumbled once. The Michigan fans already want Gardner back to WR. If he struggles early look for Brady Hoke to go highly touted Shane Morris.
QB Will Gardner (Louisville): Why not another Gardner. While this Gardner has played well , I just don’t like his match up against Virginia. You saw what Virginia did do UCLA’s Brett Hundley.
RB Josh Ferguson (Illinois): Ferguson is not worth his high price. He is more of a receiver out of the backfield than a RB. Last week against Western Kentucky he had just 14 carries for 32 yards.
RB Paul James (Rutgers): While James has had a great season, I don’t like his match up against Penn State this week. The Nittany Lions have the 4th best rushing defense in the country this season.
WR Justin Hardy (East Carolina): This is nothing against Hardy, but the match up against the VT secondary that shut down Ohio State last week. He will not be worth his high price.
WR Stephon Diggs (Maryland): As I mentioned above CJ Brown is struggling passing. The Terps have failed to get the ball to Diggs so far this season.
[h=2]Injury News:[/h]Arizona RB Terris Jones Grigsby is questionable this Saturday.
Baylor head coach Art Briles said that WR’s Corey Coleman and Antwan Goodley will not play on Friday. Starting QB Bryce Petty is also questionable after not playing last week.
Central Michigan WR Titus Davis is questionable this week.
Florida’s TE Jake McGee is out for the season with an broken leg.
Georgia WR’s Justin Scott Wesley and Malcolm Mitchell are still both doubtful for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.
Miami WR Stacy Coley left Saturday’s game with an shoulder injury and is questionable for this Saturday.
Michigan WR Devin Funchess injured his leg against Notre Dame is probable this week.
Minnesota QB Mitch Leidner strained his MCL and is status going forward is unknown.
Navy QB Keenan Reynolds hurt his knee late against Temple and did not return, and is probable going forward.
Nebraska WR Kenny Bell did not finish the game on Saturday with a groin injury, he is considered day to day.
Oklahoma State QB JW Walsh will be out for a good time with a foot injury. RB Desmond Roland missed Saturday’s game with a rib injury. He is questionable this week.
Tennessee WR Von Pearson will be out for Saturday’s game.
Toledo QB Phillip Ely is out for the season.
UCF RB William Stanback will be back this week after missing the 1st game with a foot injury.
UConn QB Casey Cochran is out for the season because of a concussion.

[h=2]Market Exploitation: DraftKings[/h]
aaron-rodgers-300x200.jpg

[h=3]Quarterbacks[/h]Aaron Rodgers ($7,900): I never expected Rodgers to make it into this column, but after an eye-popping DraftKings salary drop of $900, I would be foolish not to include him in this space.
Yes, Rodgers and the Packers’ passing game looked pedestrian in the Thunderdome against the ferocious machine known as the Seattle defense. Everyone does. Rodgers is now seventh in quarterback price on DraftKings, taking on a sieve of a Jets’ secondary that allowed two touchdowns to rookie Derek Carr a week ago.
Tom Brady ($7,000): Brady, with Rob Gronkowski limited to 25 pass routes in the season opener, posted an uninspiring stat line against a sneaky good Dolphins’ secondary. Brady’s DraftKings price subsequently dropped by $700. He’s now the site’s 19th most expensive quarterback.
Lost in the Vikings’ total domination of St. Louis last week was the 272 passing yards Rams’ signal callers threw for against a Minnesota secondary that was really quite bad last year. They’ll be better this season, but I don’t think this is a particularly bad matchup for Tommy Boy.
While others are plugging and playing Jake Locker, Nick Foles, and Matthew Stafford, I think Brady becomes a nice against-the-grain play.
[h=3]Running Backs[/h]Jeremy Hill ($3,000): The Bengals’ rookie runner played a measly 10 snaps in Sunday’s win against the Ravens. Gio Bernard was the clear workhorse. Hence, Hill’s DraftKings price dropped by an incredible $1,700, making him available for the bare minimum $3,000.
Cincinnati offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said this week that he approached Hill and told him he would be more involved in the team’s offensive plans, just in time for a matchup against the Falcons’ unintimidating front seven. Atlanta’s run defense was graded by Pro Football Focus as a bottom-3 unit in Week 1, as the Saints’ running backs ran for 139 yards and three scores.
Cincy’s big back will be an extraordinarily contrarian play this week, and saves enough cash for us to stock up on high-end receivers and tight ends. We’re either going to be right alone on Hill or wrong alone – precisely what we’re looking for.
[h=3]Wide Receivers[/h]T.Y. Hilton ($5,000): For just $100 more than Andrew Hawkins, you can have Hilton, who saw 11 targets in the Colts’ Week 1 loss in Denver.
Hilton reeled in five of those targets for 41 yards, making him one of the more disappointing plays of the season’s first week as the Broncos focused on shutting down the Colts’ most dangerous pass catcher. Hilton’s DraftKings price has since fallen by $500 – more than enough to make him an exploitative play against a so-so Philadelphia coverage unit.
Aaron Dobson ($3,000): Just a quick note on Dobson, who was a healthy scratch in New England’s season opener: he’s now at DraftKings’ minimum cost and has a chance of suiting up against Minnesota this week.
Dobson caught three passes for 57 yards and a score in his only preseason action after offseason foot surgery. He’s what the Patriots need as a tall, fast deep threat for Tom Brady, and if he’s active, he’s going to find his way into a tournament lineup of mine.
Alshon Jeffery ($6,200): Alshon went from top-end pricing on DraftKings in Week 1 to the site’s 16th highest priced receiver in Week 2. An in-game hamstring injury has a lot to do with that, though Jeffrey still finished with 12.1 fantasy points on just six targets against the Bills.
Jeffery is not expected to miss this week’s game in San Francisco against an exploitable 49ers’ secondary. Jeffery’s Week 2 is $900 lower than his Week 1 salary – enough to get elite fantasy production for a similar price as Larry Fitzgerald and Victor Cruz.
[h=3]Tight End[/h]Charles Clay ($3,200): Clay, the Dolphins’ second most targeted pass catcher in Week 1, gets his shot at a Buffalo linebacking crew that gave up eight catches, 70 yards, and a score to Martellus Bennett last week.
Clay is among DraftKings’ cheapest starting tight ends – or starters at any position. Buffalo’s linebackers received bottom-5 pass coverage grades from PFF in the season’s opening week, making Clay a clear target for those looking to go cheap at tight end and load up at other positions in tournaments.

Guys just so you will know I'm not writing these columns they are found on other sites. I think there good reads to maybe help make your final decision.
