Just a few more weeks until the fight of the summer.

Two tough-ass fighters, with aggressive "in your face" styles. This one could and should be a classic.

When I first heard they were fighting, I was leaning Cotto. And a few months ago the odds were at -170, but has since jumped all the way to
-260...

Margarito does have a chance to win this though, and with +200 odds, could be worth a look. Then again that crazy ass line movement must be taken into consideration.

Cotto (32-0, 26 KOs), from Caguas, Puerto Rico, a two-division world champion, won the WBO junior welterweight championship in September 2004, knocking out undefeated contender Kelson Pinto for the vacant title. He successfully defended the belt six times during his two-year reign, before vacating it to challenge undefeated contender Carlos Quintana. He stopped him in the fifth round to capture the WBA welterweight crown in December 2006. Cotto has successfully defended it four times, going the distance only once.

Margarito (36-5, 26 KOs), from Tijuana, Mexico, is a two-time welterweight champion. He knocked out Antonio Diaz in the 10th round to capture the vacant WBO title in March 2002. He successfully defended it seven times during his five-year reign before losing it to Paul Williams in July 2007 via a close 12-round decision. He captured the IBF title in his most recent fight on April 12, knocking out defending champion Kermit Cintron in the sixth round.
 
This fight is going to be crazy. I just saw the Cotto/Judah re-air on HBO a couple days ago and I fell in love with Cotto. He just punches and it seems like every single one of his punches does damage. Just throws them so hard. Cant wait to see this one
 
Ya, that Cotto-Judah was the shit. After he beat down Quintana, I had a feeling dude was gonna do some big things.

Looking at the under 9.5 rounds at +150
 
Was listening to Bert Randolph Sugar on the radio today talking about this fight.

He loved the "value" on Margarito at +200 odds and said he wouldn't be surprised the fight only went 7 or 8 rounds with the way these guys throw haymakers.

Also said this has the potential to be one of the all-time great fights in boxing history.

margarito and his 1200 punches a fight def has a chance to put cotto on his ass.


now, with that said, i've liked cotto from the beginning and always dreamed of seeing him fight floyd (who i love) but it pisses me off when he is out fighting guys like gomez from the contender at this point in his career... i think he wins this fight but that is 1 hell of a price to lay and if you think cotto wins, why not try to hit "cotto by decision +105"

Now that Floyd hung em up. I think Cotto is now my favorite fighter.
 
Cotto it is then. To win by K.O and hedge with to win by decision.

I just think that Puerto Ricans are much cooler than Mexicans.
 
Bet Cotto to win by KO, TKO, or DQ for a medium sized play.

Also back it up with Cotto to win by decision.

disappointed that cotto lost, but the fight was one of the best we've seen in a long time.

the cut above his eye was pretty nasty. thought they had it under control until it started gushing towards the end.
