brsport, ''bet it all'' is a serious statement. let me just say that i believe Georgia will win this game by 10 or more and let u make the decision. 5.5 is kind of a dead # where 4 is a key #

I like your Georgia bet, Blood, but you got a better number than I did. I got 3 and when I called back to double up it it was already up to 4. I HATE to lay points on the road, but I'll swallow the 3 (passed on the 4)until S Carolina shows me they have a QB and defense like last year. Took BYU at the same number you did.

I almost never bet before Friday night, but these two looked a lot lower than I expect them to go. Keep those bets coming. I don't bet most of them, but they make me think and get my brain working.

Blood, now that I have had time to evaluate the line, the only two sides I like besides Ga and BYU are UCLA and Arkansas. The best number I can get on UCLA right now is -8. I'll hold off on that. I think I'll be able to beat that by at least a point with my Texas guy by the weekend. If Arkansas goes to +3 I may bet that one, Unless I find some totals I like those will be my only bets this weekend.

Niner, As u can see I played the Mormons on the open @ -14. Now we have seen ity as hi as -19 and drop back to 17-17.5
I start capping games on Saturday making notes as I watch as many games as I can. By Sun morn I had made BYU a 23 to 28 pt fav. I dont believe that Houston is as good as last yr,BYU is better, or at least they have shown me that they are and the early line movement reinforces that opinion. Its now Wed and all of the talking heads, the touts and the news letter guys have come out saying this should be more like a 10pt game and because there are so many peps that take this kind of info as the gospel, the line moved back down. It will move up towards 19-20 again as the sharpes that missed the play on the open will hit it before kickoff so IF u like BYU, my recommendation is to hit it @ 17 or less now and feel good about it. Now why did the touts come out on Houston to cover. They maybe are looking at last yrs game in Houston where BYU had no answer for OKorn and his over 360 yrds passing. But now Houston goes to 4600 ft Provo in front of a Big Mormon crowd where there D will be run ragged by BYU rushing attack. QB Hill looks better this yr and he want be throwing 3 interceptions like last yr
My opinion is to look at this downward line movement as a 'Deal' and take advantage of it if U havent already. If I had not like so many other large plays this wk I would be on this for a dime and not think twice about it.

Looks like some peps agreed with us on those two as the line moved down slightly on both. I thought the hook was woth buying on each. I would love to see Tenn beat Oki but think but know it not to be but do look forward to the game.
I made ArkiSt a 12 pt game. I would not be surprised to see Tenn lose this one by 24 but I think it more of a 16-17 pt game...but that may be wishful thinking :)

Unlike obama, I will admit that i made a mistake in not jumping on Indiana @ +$ and now its -7. I dont like it at seven but -6 was acceptable for a small play.

brsport, I hope u made the correct decision on ur Georgia play. Even after some of the talking heads on tv have decided that SoCar may be better than they have shown the last couple of games and are calling for a close game, even SoCar winning. I still believe Geo will win by 10 or more and a good chance of blowing SoCar out big time....and maybe even put a for sale sign in Spurriers yard. USC will not even slow down Gurley. USC cant stack the box to slow him down because their pass D is so weak giving up over 300 yrs in their 1st two games. The DAwgs have one of the best sets of backup running backs in college football as well with Keith Marshall, Michel and Chubb. Man o man, How does Spirrier think he will slow down Geo enough to stay in this game. I could go on and on about Georgia but bottom line is that they will run the ball down USC's throat...and then they will mix some flareout with that...ugly, ugly

Hey buddy, looks like you're putting up a good fight with the books! Back home and catching up on the games I missed. My Tigers showed some improvement and easily covered the line and the over in Toledo. A little tougher assignment this week but in Columbia. Like your -9 play. Will be looking at a play in the next couple days. Mauk looked pretty good but too many drops by the WRs. I think we will be able to run the ball without much problem. At first glance I like an over play this week.

Glad ur back safe MrEd and hope that u will stay home for a while. I watched all of Missouri last wk and I think Mauk will lite it up against UCF even though they get there RB and WR back who didnt get to play in the PennSt game. UCF was out gained last wk 511 to 246 by State and Mauk moves his Offense much better,more consistent, than Hackenburg does and I think this is an easy 14 pt win for Mizzou and probably 21.Enjoy ut Team MrEd as they look really good for this early in the season with some new players

Totally scared off Tenny play. Sorry for lean earlier in week. I think that a lot of the key numbers you bought to will lead to payouts this weekend. UVA game looks to be low scoring with those stout Ds.
 
Holy cow, Mr. Hound. U have some great numbers there. Being a contrarian dog player, I see very few games where we are same sides. Mostly I will be on different games entirely. But definitely on CMU with you. Interested on your take on the U Mass play. They are real bad, but maybe Vandy is also. Also, why Maryland ? I seem to like them as well, but I have tough time getting past WVU's recent dominance in this series. Have they done anything in first two games that turns u to Terps.? Appreciate your opinions as always.

VAndy has absolutely No offense and UMass can score some pts to keep it within 17.5, my#, easily imo I think this is a 14 pt game or less. I made Maryland 5-7 pt fav and that was worth a 1 U play for me on the opening line, which hasnt moved. If Childress has a game like he did against BAma and the practice game last wk against Towson, then the play may be WV...but I dont think he will see that kind of success against a decent Terps D on the rd at a home field. Hopefully the Terps will hold on to the damn ball this wk. I know those are bref answers but it has been a long day . GL

Very impressive performance by Kiel in his first college game in that Cincinnati/Toledo game. He is a great prospect and is going to put up some big numbers for the Bearcats this year.

Found my number on UCLA and Arkansas and also found S Caro +7 so I'm going to middle that one with my Ga -3
