Assessing this, it looks like:

Marshall +24
Utah +5
Houston -11
Oklahoma -24.5

Are all solid plays for me the opening weekend. Some of these lines are shockers!!!

No way am I on Miami -6 and Arky -9.

Also, they don't have any TOTALS set yet. I may be on more totals than sides that first weekend.
 
If that Oklahoma line remains the same going into the week of the game and everyone on the offense is healthy, I may not have to bet another game the whole weekend!!

How about ULL +32 against LSU? Just looking at huge dogs right now as a play against the shortened clock.
 
RJ, I was sure thinking it on the ULL/LSU game. Although the league isn't worth a shit, ULL is suppose to be the contender for the Title in the Sun Belt conference this season. Add in the facts of this being an intrastate grudge match and the new rule changes, and we may have ourselves a play here.

I'm only thinking of taking the huge dogs in week 1 with the new rule changes. Playing against Texas in week 1 might be smart as they are breaking in 2 new QBs and will run the ball a ton.

Problem is that their RBs can bust out yardage like pass plays.

Thinking playing against LSU in the opener might be a good play catching 4+ TDs.

Like how the UW-SJSU line lost a TD off the spread.

That's exactly what I thought when considering the North Texas play. We're thinking alike here. :shake:
 
Akron catching +21.5 from Penn State is a bit intriguing, but I'm more interested in the UNDER in tht game. I wish we had the TOTALS up as well.
 
rj, I took Texas at -40 at betmill because they are breaking in new QBs. They need to get these guys some reps and confidence going into the OSU game. I actually expect them to air it out somewhat.

The ground game will just be the gravy on top. Look at the 3 deep at tailback. Charles, Selvin Young, and Melton. yikes!

Wow, Horn! I'm thinking a 1H -24 play might be good but overrall I'm not sure how the UT game plan will fit the line.
 
Horn, have you done much thinking about how losing 15-20 plays a game with the new rule changes is going to affect some of these plays?

I know we'll know more about it after the first week, but we have to a little capping of it in now.
 
Yeah I have but I don't think it'll effect the game that much. You think its 15-20 plays it'll take off? I didn't think that many.

I've seen as low as 10 plays and as high as 30 plays lost each game.

thanks for the list of games and lines..something to mull over...dont like to strain the ole brain too early since We will all be knee deep in a few weeks...interesting to see the early lines.
 
frank, I agree. I got in on Miami at -3.5 with betmill. Love getting Whisky at PK and see its at 11.

What are your thoughts on the Irish at -8?
 
Horn, UW at a Pick is sweet, I would bet FSU +6 anyday vs the Canes...hell them boys can take a shot and shoot back too..lol..
as far as ND ....We all know they are over-rated big time...they are on the road vs a vet QB..yeah Ball has been a bust but he has prob. the Best Wr in the Nation or at least a top 5 guy..with major size...Johnson may score twice himself which could be the cover...Over Hyped road favs with the Biggest Public Following in the Nation....+8 maybe the way to go...to be honest I dont know how much GT lost on D....their D was solid last year but I have not looked at their Grad losses...
 
that being said...after Texas beat USC...I have not really glanced at much for CFB...since the NBA and CBB take up alot of my betting time...
 
i'm thinking spurrier ha the talent to get a blowout in week 1. and we all know if he can run up the score he will.

navy lost their senior qb and ecu has a mobile qb and a pretty damn good reciever. navy wins by 3 tops IMO

fsu should win this game SU IMO. i know you guys like miami but i just cannot see them winning this. miami home field is nothing compared to fsu home field so i throw that out the window. fsu has a more mature qb and running game with a fast defense. plus bowden is twice the coach coker is or ever will be.
 
I know Vandy is pretty much gutted from last year, but I just can't see Michigan laying 25 to an SEC team, even 1 as bad as Vandy.

I am loving N. Ill. even more now, I heard somewhere that they were around 16 or 17 but +20.5 against Ohio St. who will clearly be looking ahead to Texas.... What do you guys think about these early leans??
 
i'd say so...miami doesn't have crazy fans and chants like florida and fsu but they do breed talent but i like fsu to win SU ..... frank anythig stick out to you yet
 
aces....better plays on the board than michigan or other heavy fav/dog teams.... lsu/tOSU/tex etc etc are not good plays either way IMO
 
Troy..only thing I see is FSU..but its still one month away..heck the Whole FSU team could get gunned down or busted for dealing Weed..or Weatherford could turn an ankle in practice...my head is pretty blank until about 2 weeks before the start of the season...gl
 
I think it's important to note that it's betcris...S. Miss catching over three TD's now?...La. Tech doesn't look as good as they did at +24 either...

I have to bump what Horn says here, pags. I've used BetChris, along with Pinny, over the last year (I've used Pinny for 3 years) and the lines are very rarely different. BetChris is solid!

I still see no way that u can situationally bet a look ahead spot in week one...kids are football players and haven't played in competition in eight months...NO WAY do they look ahead in week one...Now, rust is a different situation all together...

I will say that 20.5 is a lot in that NIU game and a little higher than I thought it would be...but if NIU is going to hang, it's going to be through the air..rushing offense is their bread and butter, but the back four is the weak/young part of that tOSU defense...

Need to research Utah St. and San Jose St. again this year. These teams are simply money to fade. They catch you off guard with a 1 point cover @ home right when you think they are incapable of staying in a game. I think WYO blows them out of the building @ home. Wash's crowd should make it tough for SJS as well... with Washington's program hopefully turning around. The athletic QB there should cause problems for a SJS defense that was among the nation's worst last season.

Everything else I'm just getting a feel for... and mainly riding your guys points.

NW+1 looks like a Day 1 trap. I might not play that one.
