At Mack's age why wouldn't you just say you left on a mutual agreement?

Getting fired at 85 or whatever seems like a slap to your enlarged prostate
 
I wonder if the UNC opening would interest someone like Cignetti or does he feel like he has to stay longer at Indiana.

I would think winning would be easier at UNC than Indiana but he will never be as appreciated anywhere else as he is at a place like Indiana which has never had any success.
 
I think it was on the Andy and Ari podcast where it was mentioned that impending revenue sharing will lead to fewer firings this year since the programs have to figure out how to make the numbers work without paying buyouts. Probably means fewer unnecessary extensions as well
 
Miami is going to waste another few years on Mario knowing he will never make the playoffs. Whats the difference at this point that program hasn't been serious about winning for over 20 years.

Small school, private money and terrible S Florida real estate economy equals lucky to have Cristobal lol. Half the people who financed the good ol' days have probably filed for bankruptcy multiple times

If Miami cared about winning they would be a top 10 program almost every season but the board of trustees all went to school with Mario and will never want to fire him. Even this team with a Heisman caliber QB could have lost 5 games or more and still couldn't even make the championship game in a bad conference. With no Cam next season the walls will cave in on this meathead of a coach but why should he care he's making 8 million a year.
 
I'm not a fan like you are but for my own enjoyment I need Miami to be good. Coker was what they could afford and he delivered not to mention the appropriated name. No way that was his given name at birth.

Coker inherited the most talented roster in the history of the sport and once those guys moved on the program never recovered.

They are a private school of 5k in one of the best destinations in the world. They should get together with USC and figure out how to run train on the NCAA in general but there's simply more to life than sport to most of them.

They had a 20 year run of dominance there is no reason why they should be irrelevant today and the same is true for USC but maybe people are realizing that Lincoln is a terrible coach.

Or people would simply rather be out on a yacht these days than giving a flyin' fk about college football like the old days. We're getting old man, CFB isn't as relevant to those types like it used to be when you got bigger fish to fry. But I'm just a displaced midwesterner from modest means who still enjoys this shit.
 
Based on the Bubba Cunningham interview above, our candidates are involved in action this upcoming weekend so that leads me to believe it is down to Tulane HC and Georgia DC.

Said he hopes to make a decision by next Monday which makes me think Sumrall is the target.

If Dana/Raiola can't make it happen in two years it won't ever happen. That's like the shot you've been given that virtually no team that falls out of grace ever gets. Blackshirts were very good this season so the defense is already there.

Bill is obviously looking for warm weather if he decides to step toe into this again. Not surer there is anything other than Dallas at this point which would be a match made in geriatric hell

Jacksonville has been rumored as well as Dallas. His dream job is the Giants and I hope that happens.

I do agree that it would be so awesome to watch a dry fire burn fast....thus Dallas!
