CFB Week 4 (9/17-9/20) News and Picks

Texas could be without 3 players

from Bevo Beat
Longhorns weekly injury report contains two surprises.
The main one is the questionable status of tailback Fozzy Whittaker with a knee problem. When I spoke to Whittaker on Tuesday, he told me his knee, which he sprained in mid-August, was holding up well.
Receiver Brandon Collins is listed as questionable with a back injury and offensive guard Charlie Tanner also is considered questionable with an ankle sprain he suffered in the opener, Aug. 30.
Tanner and Whittaker had both been bracketed as co-starters. However, when Texas trainers say questionable, it usually means the player won’t see action. That would mean a start for Vondrell McGee or Chris Ogbonnaya at tailback and Michael Huey at guard.
We’ll update when we get to the stadium later this afternoon. Kickoff is 6 p.m.

Bleh.

3-3-1 for the week and lose the juice.

Anyway, after the 0-2 weekday start, I was happy with Saturday and capped those games perfectly (and listened to Jump enough to buy off tOSU).

By the way, Jump---when Texas plays Rice, Texas minus anything.
