KIim straight jealous
i cant lie
dude just gets tix
no way married. no way kids
than do notHonestly the timing of it is what is rubbing people the wrong way. Weeks was clearly looking very closely at stopping it from the 8th round on and even had a very in depth discussion with the doctor before the 9th round started. I get the Mexican worry argument and all, but Angulo was doing nothing, but applying ineffective pressure and taking shots. I agree he was never severely hurt or even out on his feet, but he was not seeing punches coming and was clearly unable to get at Canelo. I hate to compare it, but this fight was very paralleled to the Mago fight where Mago was never really hurt, but took solid and constant punishment for the entire fight.
Now, I would have been fine with the fight being continued, but at no point did I think the stoppage was unreasonable. Perhaps this has to do with us watching different broadcasts. Not sure what Showtime was saying, but box nation was calling for a stoppage from the beginning of the 8th round on and I was seeing their point/

bad stoppage imo ... just don't think it mattered
exactlyWe have to put in perspective who Canelo was fighting. This was Angulo fucking Perro... For real boxing fans that stoppage just felt wrong.
exactly
and even take that away......he was still fighting
and fighting his ass off
Based on my twitter feed almost all of the respected figures in the sport agree with me, whatever the fuck that means.
This just didn't leave a bad taste in mouth like other poor decision in the past have. I wasn't calling for it to be stopped, but I understood it.
:shake:Do you understand why journalistic sentimentality is irrelevant? It's fucking bullshit dude. Everyone wants to hear everyone agree with their opinion. It's absolute bull shit similar to every sport out there. Yes Canelo was winning the fight soundly but he was in no position to finish the fight and it was absolutely embarrassing to see him land one punch that hurt El Perro the ENTIRE fight and it was called off. Absolutely STINKS for the fight game.
