Great finishing thoughts...Not gonna have an opinion on the title game. Frankly, I wouldn't argue with a play on either side, as I think you can make a pretty good case for both teams here.
On paper, this one looks like 8 or so should be the line, and if everything went according to plan, I'd probably have a slight lean to OSU, but one untimely turnover(which ND has been getting all year) and everything flips on it's head. ND is going to have a really hard time sustaining offense against this Ohio State defense. They won't be helpless, because they were able to manage 383 yards on Penn State's defense, but this OSU squad has been on fire. On the other side of the ball, the main weakness for ND is their run defense, but I don't know that Ohio State has the ability or patience to stay with that. I don't expect a Oregon/Tennessee type performance from OSU, but rather like the larger part of the Texas game.
I also have no interest fading a team that has covered what, 11 in a row? I also don't want to be sitting there like a jackass as Jeremiah Smith outleaps 3 guys for his 3rd TD either. Ultimately, I think this one comes down right to the number, so I'll be just watching intently as a fan, as rare as that is!
Thanks to all who shot the breeze with me this year. It's a was a fun year!
Bowl Season closes out for me at 14-10. Not bad, could have been better, blah blah blah.
