Black Monday- HARBAUGH!

What's left? McDaniel supposedly back to Miami. GB if they lose? John Harbaugh?

No way packers fire lafluer right? Even if they lose it easy to argue they were pretty much derailed by injury. He would get another job instantly, think he a pretty good coach.

I’ve heard Miami is scared McDaniel go somewhere else and be good his next chance, not sure he would get another head job right away, prob back to oc for a year or 2. I dunno if I see it, I do think he a good play designer but dunno bout leader of men.

Something almost has to change in Balty doesn’t it? Not that I think Harbaugh a bad coach, he have another job in a second also. Something just ain’t working there, no damn way they should be at home especially in that division.

Was floating around yesterday that Cleveland would be looking at McDaniel if he were available as HC. Rumors obviously can be taken for what they're worth.

MIA endorsed McDaniel a while ago.
Pretty sure they want him back I’ve followed it closely he’s an interesting one…

Any chance we see Gruden 3.0 in Raider Nation? :)

It's crazy but he might be the only coach that built us up in the past 25+ years. I'm referencing his first build in 1998 and then the one he began in 2018. Seems like every other coach totally blew it...Del Rio being the closest to getting it going with Carr in 2016 and then of course the injury and letting OC Musgrave go in favor of promoting QB coach Downing, Del Rio was shown the door.

Here's the thing about Gruden though...he began his build in 1998 and we didn't see it payoff until 2000. He began his build in 2018 and we didn't see it start to payoff until 2021. What I'm getting at is it took time, and given the current state of the Raiders it will definitely take time again. Is Davis and Co ready to accept that fact?

Flores as HC and Dabol OC?

I like Gruden. But everything I've read has said his drafts were a disaster. Obviously GM involved too. But sounds like he was heavy influence. Not sure. I do think they are probably worst roster in nfl. I also read Crosby is only player who would bring a 1 in trade. Bowers was close. Cupboard is bare though. Maybe just as coach??

Tough call. On the one hand he went 3-4 with Shedeur and his 68.1 QB rating. On the other hand he went 1-5 with Gabriel, 2024 was a disaster, Flacco saved 2023 only for them to get rolled in the playoffs, and he gave up on Baker the year after their last playoff win.

Is he the guy to trust to groom the next QB?
He was no good. His Cheesecake playbook was his downfall.
The guy called for more passes short of 1st down distance over the last 4 years that kjilled the team.

He was no good on defense either. I can recall at least 5 games with good leads in one season that he lost everyone of them in the second half. He was another Old School prevent defense coach - who paid the price over and over. He will suck anywhere he goes.

Like IVe said for years!!! Coaches/managers dont win games, they can only lose them. He owns that title...

Those who want to defend him must have never seen the ;last 4 years of blown leads he lost all on his own...
I labled him SHITFANSKI. He was SHIT!

Got the next best thing today at least. Eberflus fired. This stat from Aaron Schatz tells me just how good Dak and the Cowboys offense were this year. Look at the win totals for the other teams on the list.

Yea writing kinda been on wall all year, i thought it take them going really far for him to stay. Agree w @B.A.R. , sit out a year and cherry pick a good fit. He obviously a good coach.
Every team with an opening and several that don't will be making a run at him so Harbaugh will be coaching next season and my guess is the Giants to make me and every other Jets fan more miserable than we already are.

It is alarming how many games the Ravens have choked away the last few years but I still think Harbaugh will be recharged and ready to win wherever he lands.

Yea but not like there that appealing of jobs this year. Don’t think he gonna go to some crap franchise like cle or zona . Maybe nyg but id take a year, tough to say that franchise been very well run lately. I guess if they give him total control.

I thought his decision to punt week one when bills were charging back and they only needed like a yard and been running all over bills the entire gm was nuts. Not sure how he thought that would end?? He little conservative for my taste but he better than at least half the guys with jobs.

.

Great meme 😂

Why didn't Harbaugh run one more play of offense ?? Even my 8 yr old nephew was saying ( Let Lamar throw one more)..

Do you really think Tomlin was going to get fired if they lost ?? Maybe , I'm not so sure thou .

I kinda doubt Tomlin ever get fired, it have to be mutual or on his terms I think. That said i think him and Harbaugh kinda in same boat far as change be good for them both.

Harbaugh had a long run. He will get a ton of choices but I wouldn’t run to hire him. I will say having a franchise QB like Lamar (not) leading your locker room doesn’t make your job any easier. But that team looked lost this season, no identity, bad defense, etc.

He showed his age with that one and it went downhill after that.

Something went all kinds of sideways there but it wouldn’t make me hesitate to hire him. Sometimes the message just gets stale and I’m sure Lamar a huge part the problem. Kinda expected he was gonna be gone but not sure the grass gonna be greener for ravens?

I worried about the Cardinals wanting Saleh. Their defense is atrocious and they’ve seen him first hand for several years. His tenure in NY actually looks impressive after this year.

Don't worry the guy is a terrible head coach. The fact that the moron that replaced him is the worst coach in the history of sports does not take away from the fact that Saleh was brutal.

I’m sorry to say it but you can’t judge anyone by their tenure in NYJ. It’s a clown show and he had success there given everything. At one point he had an all time YPP average going even though the defense was on the field twice as most teams.

I get that sentiment I really do but trust someone that watched his teams play he is not good. Saleh is the typical DC that should stay a coordinator and one of many examples why I hate defensive coaches as the head guy. A random homeless guy would be better than Glenn but that doesn't mean you should go pick someone sleeping under a bridge and make him a head football coach.

Four reasons why:

1) Loop was perfect on the year inside of 50, including 8 for 8 from 40-49.
2) There wasn't a breath of wind that night. The hard right turn that Boswell's XP made was due to a Raven getting his fingertips on the ball.
3) Henry has had fumbling problems this year, and you know Watt is going to be throwing punches like he's Ali if he has the chance.
4) The Ravens were already called for two holding penalties on the night, including a big Henry run. And while Loop was perfect inside 50, beyond 50 he has not been good.

What I didn't like was spotting the ball in between the hashes. Almost all kickers like either one hash or the other. Aubrey likes the left hash. Vikings kicker prefers the right hash. I assume Loop requested center cut. But just like with straight putts, straight on kicks have less margin of error.

I’m not sure Harbaugh woulda survived even had they made the fg then got bounced by Houston? Think it probably woulda took a deep playoff run which I doubt was happening. Something clearly not working there anymore, sometimes his desicions annoy me but not sure this his fault, obviously you don’t fire the franchise qb tho.
Yep

I get it. I don’t think he can turn around a team like the Jets. But if Kyle ever quit I’d want him to be the HC of the 9ers. Situation is everything.

Bowers wouldn't bring a 1? Are teams nuts?

Davis Webb is getting a lot of buzz. I admittedly know very little about him other than him being very young 30 I think but I'd definitely be more excited hiring someone like him hoping you are getting the next McVay or Shanahan vs hiring a bum like Matt Nagy who you know has little to no upside.

You have nothing to worry about. Jets will make the right decision. Rumors are Rex Ryan is returning

basically it feels like the loser of the Ravens-Steelers game rendering that team out of the playoffs, was going to part ways with their long-time HC.

it could have just as easily been Tomlin if the Steelers had lost.

am i correct here?
