- Nats lineup has recently returned to full health, taking on an old and not nearly as effective Waino. Plus, the Cards put up 14 runs last night and look to stay hot tonight vs Joe Ross, who has only thrown 5 MLB innings since 2019. WAS was forced to go to their pen early last night, using up many arms. This game has many reasons to go over.
- Yankees -125 ...Last time Kluber faced Stripling, Kubler gave up 5 hits and 1 earned run in 4 innings while Stripling gave up 3 earned runs off 7 hits in only 3. I'm liking the Yankees to bounce back from last night and their overall bad start on the year. Too many hitters to stay down and Kluber still has juice. Price is to good to pass on...

He looks to continue his potential breakout season tonight against the A's. Lefty Cole Irvin will start for Oakland against a primarily right handed DET lineup. Irvin is below average, more or less fill in starter. At these odds, I like this pick way more than I should for such a mediocre tigs squad, but F it, LFG!

- Rays...The Rays are now 16-5 in their last 21 meetings versus the Yankees and are 7-2 in their last nine meetings in New York. They’ve also won six out of their last eight games when playing the second game of a series and are 81-36 in their last 117 games when their opponent scored two runs or less in its previous game. The Yankees, meanwhile, are just 2-6 in their last eight games overall and have dropped four of their last five games coming off a loss.
- Dodgers vs. Padres over 7½ +110 ...The over has now cashed in four of the L5 meetings between these two teams and is 5-1 in the last six meetings in San Diego. The over is also 6-2 in the Dodgers’ L8t games when facing an opponent with a winning record and is 16-7-1 in their last 24 road games versus a right-handed starter. On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Padres’ last five games as a home underdog and is 6-2 in their last eight home games when facing a left-handed starter. Both pitchers are very good is only reason I haven't hit this yet, but as low as number is...I'm still considering hard.
- Dodgers -1½ +140 ...LA outscores opp on the road 6.3 to 4.1. In Kershaws last 3+ years as a road fav LA is 25-12 SU and 21-16 RL which means they cover the stick 88% of the time they win. Also 21-8 last 29 while only failing to cover RL 3 times in the 21 W's. If you play the doyers today, do yourself a favor and lay the stick...it's a bargain

- D-backs/Nats o9 ...kinda surprised this total is only 9 - must be driven down by the names. Bumgarner is bad now: 6.48 ERA, 7.18 FIP, 5.85 xFIP last year and somehow doing worse this year. He’s walking 5.27 per 9 and giving up about 2 home runs per 9. The Snakes bullpen isn’t good either (4.31 FIP, 4.32 xFIP). Strasburg has been a long time favorite starter of mine, but currently he’s a mess. After his completely lost season, he has yet to recover: 6.30 ERA, 6.94 FIP, and 5.46 xFIP. His velocity’s at 91.4 mph, which is actually down from his few injured innings last year (91.8), and obviously significantly down from his typical 94-96. He’s walking 6.3 per 9 and giving up more than 2 home runs per 9. I’d bet on him figuring it out at some point and will be rooting for him in general, but just don't see it today. Nats pen isn’t good either (4.42 FIP and 4.62 xFIP). Both starters have hit a rough patch, with Bumgarner appearing significantly worse. I do think these two are closer than the line might imply. The Nats are better hitters but the difference is fairly small from what I can tell and I think this game is closer than +135...so I see some value in the Snakes as well.
- Reds +141 ...Bieber vs Miley. I don't feel good betting against Bieber but Miley is starting the season on an absolute tear. In a battle of two aces like this I feel good taking plus odds with the better offense.
- Red Sox -109 ...Keuchel is off to a tough start and he gets to go against a top 3 Red Sox offense at Fenway. Houck performed well in his only start on the season and nothing from last year indicates to me that that was an anomaly. He’ll get a test against a good CWS lineup but I’m betting he passes

- BOSOX F5 TT U2 -130ish ...CHW starts their ace Lucas Giolito. BOS bats looked dead in the DH Sunday scoring 3 runs in 14 innings losing both games. White Sox are heating up looked good in the DH and are 6th in the MLB in runs. Giolito did great in his last start vs Tribe, but took a ND because Shane Bieber is in a league of his own. Red Sox offense has been up and down the past series vs Twins and now in the one with CWS. They've done most of their scoring late anyways. I could see Giolito shutting them down for 5. I would even hit an alt line of 1.5 for the better number if they make it available. Also may hit the southsider side FF as well depending on the number. Can't trust that pen though. Just waiting for my book to post the FF numbers.

Here is something I put together this morning for a quick glance at todays games with starter, win streaks and site streaks for a quick reference
The site streak negative is away games and streak negatives are losing steaks while positives are winning streaks, Any suggestions what other data may be useful for a quick reference...maybe FF wins, total streaks.
BTW, this is set for history 2019-21 including first 25 games of the season only but can easily be edited to include any time frame.

CIN/AZ FF Under 4.5 -120 ...Castillo is way better than he's shown so far this year, and now back at home where he's always pitched much better. Snakes bats are cold and looked bad vs some horrible pitchers. Gallen gave up one run vs a solid A's lineup, striking out 8 in four innings last outing. Reds are not the Reds of the start of the season and Castillo is not as bad as he's been...so we should get a great number. Waiting for this to post but it a sure play for me.

CIN/AZ FF Under 4.5 -120 ...Castillo is way better than he's shown so far this year, and now back at home where he's always pitched much better. Snakes bats are cold and looked bad vs some horrible pitchers. Gallen gave up one run vs a solid A's lineup, striking out 8 in four innings last outing. Reds are not the Reds of the start of the season and Castillo is not as bad as he's been...so we should get a great number. Waiting for this to post but it a sure play for me.

Chasing the Line" has started the season hot. Almost 3 weeks in and it's hitting 60.6% winners for 14.5% ROI compared to the 7+ year records of 56% & 8.5% respectfully.
Notice above Chasing games were under the total 59% for 11.8% ROI. The unders are somewhat of a theme so far in 2021...for instance if you look at home favorites of more the 130...the under cashed 60% for 14.9% ROI. What's more is these home favs < -130 have been excellent fade material bringing back 16.8% ROI so far.

didn't even think of that, my bad, but after checking there where 14 7inn games with totals under 8 and they were 10-4 to the under which falls in line pretty close to the 70% all the games under 8 went underWhen u state the unders with 8 or less.....do you think most of these have to do with the double headers where they shorten the game to 7 innings only?

Rogers is just another in seemingly endless line of stud young pitchers fish have. The hauls they got when they dealt yelich, Stanton, Ozuna, and Realmuto is really starting to pay off! Front office did a fantastic job getting what they did, then they flipped little of it to get a couple position players from snakes (Marte and Chisholm jr who really starting to pop!). Sixto hasn’t even pitched yet this year, when he comes back the rotation is super deep with nasty nasty stuff!! I just hope they continue flying under the radar for awhile! Wasn’t a great sign how heavily they were favored today!! Lol.

I’m sure the over problem has to be somewhat new ball related (this year), and temps have been mostly pretty chilly around the league also which doesn’t help matters. Personally I have basically damn near stopped playing any ovsr leans cause I always seem to be wrong these days! I’ll get 100 baserunners but none of them get drove in.

They’re 4-1 in L5, with their only loss in that span coming from the Pirates (a decent team thus far) in a 6-5, 10 inning game. Cubs are also 4-1 in their last 5 after their sweep of the Mets, who have been struggling to score, so I’m not sure how impressive that is. The Brewers had a day of rest/travel, whereas the Cubs have played 3 days in a row, finishing late on Thursday night after a 10-inning game. The edge here goes to the Brewers, who have more momentum after sweeping a good team on the road with a day of rest/travel on their side. The Cubs have about 15 hours from the end of their game against the Mets to prepare for the Brewers (1:20pm CST first pitch).
- Run Differentials ...Brewers have taken 4 of the 6 games that these teams have played so far, outscoring the Cubs 27 to 12 in those 6, winning all 4 of their wins by 2+ runs. In the Cubs’ 9 losses so far, all of them have been by 2 or more runs. Brewers have a +30 run differential, Cubs have a -8 run differential.
- Pitching ...Brewers rank 3rd in the Majors in ERA, strikeouts, WHIP, and quality starts. The Cubs rank 20th in ERA, 17th in runs allowed, 14th in strikeouts, and 26th in WHIP. Brett Anderson (MIL) is 2-1 with 8 strikeouts, 4 walks, and 3 homers. All 3 HRs came against the Cubs in early April. - Overall ..The Brewers are the better team with more rest and more momentum. Due to the inconsistency of the Cubs, I’ll back the Brewers on RL. - Pirates +150L...Brubaker is a lot for the Twins bats to handle right now, plus the Pirates hitters have been really slashing. Twinks have been pushed a lot so far, and it may get away from them early today
- Yankees -1½ +115 ...As tempting as the low ML price is, I’m gambling the Yanks signs of life are an early sign they are about to catch fire. I doubt Allen can slow them much, and the tribe likely will not be able to hang on offense, as Montgomery can be effective enough to hold them, all while the Yanks pour it on.
- Marlins +119 ...Alcantara is filthy filthy filthy! With one day to settle in and adjust, this Marlin team can at the very least keep it close until they crack that Giants BP. I don’t know how long Wood can go...prolly max out at 6 as last time he only went 5 but was untouchable. This game goes to BP’s and I think Marlins get a slight edge. The Under is very tempting too, but at 7 it just leaves things open to the BPs and extra innings possibly so I'll just back FF under

- Royals/Tigers U8 ...Tigs Matthew Boyd has a 2.03 ERA in the AL. That’s ridiculously low. Royos Singer 3.77 ERA, so this looks to be set up as a classic pitchers dual. On paper it looks like DET should take this game, but BP’s can easily fuck that up. KC outranks Tigers in just about all offensive categories, but that doesn't say much as DET is close to the bottom in every offensive category.
- Jays +120 ...I never have a ton of trust in Robbie Ray but he's done fine in 2 starts so far this year. But this is more about the Jays offense which is slowly but surely heating up. Would be cool to see Honeywell succeed after 4 years of injuries but not sure how much Tampa gets out of him in his opener. Might not work so well with so many bullpen injuries and the extremely inconsistent offense.
- A's -160 ...I think it should be higher as Baltimore can't hit a lick. Bassitt probably wont post 2.29 ERA again like last year but he's solid. Wade Leblanc hasn't been good since 2018 and a flyball pitcher against the power-heavy A's in Camden Yards might not go well.
- Rangers +155 ...May take a gamble here as Gibson has been sharp, allowing one earned run over 21 innings, and two of those starts were against decent lineups. Keuchel also doesn't seem to have the pinpoint command he relies on so far. Sox haven't been able to consistently string together wins as the defense and bullpen have been sloppy and fading Keuchel at this price doesn't seem bad at all.
