"The Ducks announced today that Executive Vice President/General Manager Bob Murray will take over as interim head coach for the remainder of the regular season. Head coach Randy Carlyle has been relieved of his duties. Anaheim will name a new head coach following the 2018-19 season"
it is ABOUT freeking TIME!!! YES the team has had injuries BUT I think the day of the "stodgy old geezer" slow play, defense first coach in the NHL is OVER!!!. the Ducks have some excellent players and one of the BEST goalies in the league in "Johnny Goalie" Gibson BUT they do NOT get the shots on goal to consistently WIN because of their "lay back then counter attack" defense first system AND when they get behind in a game they almost always LOSE. be interesting to see IF they bring in a younger more offense oriented coach next season :shake:
