2025 Golf Handicapping Thread....

Alright...

I hit Cam Davis at 66-1 here last year.

Runner up with Pendrith at 100-1 year Tony won.

My buddy had Rickie big the last time I attended.

So, I'm feeling the vibe this week...

Back with some outrights in a bit ...

Super popular pick..

But Wyndham+3300 is a bet. Full unit

Hall, Smalley, Rasmus , Clanton and Perez are all smaller bets ( +2800, +5000, +3200, +4500 and +6000)

Tosti and Svensson for pizza $ at +17,500.
Long way to go but great start for your boys Wyndham and Perez. Hoping you cash and hoping I can come up with some winning plays. Or at a minimum, some fading pleasure.

Rocket not the easiest to handicap, but gonna play two matchups today....1.5 unit each

Griffin +105 over morikawa
Roy -115 over echavarria

You will get back in the groove my man BOL! I forgot to put my plays in Wed night, woke up scrambling and missed most of what I wanted except Cam Y. vs. Dice K. I had circled Poltgeiter vs Champ.

I know last year that scoring scored down in round 4 but if I remember correctly weather was more a factor sat/sun. Looks like almost no wind tomorrow. Gonna look for a few bombers at 69 or bette.

Early looks is Knapp at 69 or potgeitter at 70

Those both hit, hope ya played them!

Fun playoff. That's one thing this tournament has provided. Playoffs!!

They are closing that course for a year and the renovations start tomorrow!

Hope the course is a bit more interesting.

I know many that play there and they like it but aren't all that enthralled with it. So many better spots in SE Mich.

This tournament will also move to AFTER the Open Championship next year (July 30-Aug 2).

I could pick 15 guys this week that are capable of winning and really jump-starting their careers/years/whatever.

I'm going to start with 3 though I'm comfortable with and will likely have over unders in rounds 2/3/4. I did very well with those last year at the John Deere.

Bez +7500
Mitchell +5000
D Thompson+3500

DFS guys...

Bez
Mitchell
Thompson
THE POSTMAN
Griffin
Hubbard
Nico
Chan Kim
Michael Kim
Thorbjorsen
McCarty
Smalley
Gerard

Gotta love golf!

Ben Griffin under 67.5 +110 today.

Needs to shoot -4

He's 6 under through 16 holes.

I lost the bet.

DFS been rough this week.

Lost that small totals bet on Friday.

But, I have the solo 3rd round leader at +3500 as posted late Wednesday.

Thompson had a pretty uneven opening 9 today. He was 3 or 4 shots down as he made the turn.

He then played the par 5 as one should and was off the the races. Beautiful finish with a birdie on #18.

We have a jammed leaderboard though..

4 guys at -14

No one at -13 ****

4 guys at -12

5 guys at -11

6 guys at -10

11 guys at -9

I'd say all of these golfers are still in contention. We saw some low numbers on Thursday and Friday. So, a 63 from one of these guys at -9 could get them to -17 and right into contention.

Ill track live to see if anyone has value, but with so many guys there I'm not going to be too trigger happy.

There is wild value at the guys on the -9 line though.

Even the guys at -11 and -12 have some solid value.

The headliners tomorrow though are Thompson trying to go back to back... And Max Homa trying to win for the first time in quite awhile!

I like Thompson to hold on. His round yesterday coulda been much better than it was. Hit one in water on par 5 which caused him to make bogey on one of the birdie holes. Missed a few short putts as well.

Renaissance Club since 2019

PGA official event since 2022

24 rounds since 2019..

15 of those calm = -1.7 per round
9 rain/wind ° +1.05 per round.

Bombers, long irons and elite ball striking.

Proximity to hole VERY important.

This info mostly via Ron Klos.

Since '22 below.

Good stuff Tim.

Golf starts in 30 mins and goodness I really enjoy these next two weeks.

I love waking up to golf!

I really do miss the "true" European Tour and watching that early mornings, but that's life.

This should be an excellent event.

Good luck and enjoy the event!

Bobby has finished 1st and 2nd the last two years. Yet, his outright has value! Why? Scottie and Rory effect.

Low key, Xander might be ready to bust out. I just now added him to a few DFS lineups.

Weather still a bit dicey potentially for the opening round.

I'll likely get into some totals come Saturday. I want to see how this course plays on a calmer Friday. Winning score of this tournament varies greatly (due to mother nature).

I don't like doing much future wise when Scottie is in the field ..

With that being said, I'm keeping an eye on Xander!

I did put a quarter on Vik at 3500... Also a small one of Detry at +8000.

Gotterup at 5 digits was played on Monday. Very small.

Neergard - Peterson north of 5 digits as well, for a 6 pack.

Obviously we have a major next week.

Plenty to think about.

We also need to incorporate the fact this is a Ryder Cup year. These next few weeks overseas and then the lighter events coming back to the states are a time to make a statement to the captain.

Scottish Open full tourney match ups:

Li -115 vs Knapp
Neergaard Peterson -120 vs Greyserman

I Feel like gambling. I am just fading the Americans versus guys who are used to playing in Europe.

Enjoy the weekend guys best of luck

Neergard gonna cook!

Good luck.

0-1 rd.1 -3u. Rosey fought back only to bogey 18th.

Rd.2 A’s +3 runs, Pendrith v. Guerrier +137 2u (DK)

Rd.2 adds- both at DK. Seeing guys that struggled yesterday, flipping the switch today, different/helping winds.

Im under 68.5 -140 5u
Scott under 68.5 -170 5u

I'm watching replay ...

How did JR look in Round #1?

I'm trying to find a total or two for fun and then lock in Saturday.
Sorry big guy, in bed right after posting. Rose struggled yesterday, missed a few putts early, +2 around the turn, battled back only to bogey 18, killing my rd.1 play.

Rd.2, wasn’t sharp but managed a decent score, cashing my play.

Look forward to your weekend plays

I ended up doing a cap and tailing you.

Woke up a winner, thanks!

Bobby Mac and JT first off the board this morning at 3:50 am.

Better conditions and could definitely post a number today to grab attention of the leaders.

Will they feed off each other?

Both have done well in this spot before.

Both are at 68.5 with juice on the under.

Bobby issues are off tee and putting, so far.

JT has struggled off the tee and in most areas except solid in scrambling.

The data isn't showing much for these two but situational spot, is solid.

Still thinking. If I do bet, I'd lean Bobby under 68.5 -140

Late to the party, rd.3. 2-2 rd.2, math later

Perez -120 v. Yu 3u (DK). Teeing off now so live might be the only option.

Tough outing so far it seems, looking for a live play to add.

GL today
