Goodbye to Romance College Football
I renewed our league from last year on yahoo.com.

If you played last season you should get an email invite. Otherwise you can join like this:

1. You need to have a free yahoo account
2. Go here and select "join private group"

3. enter group id: 3571 and password: ncaa

Settings are same as before. We are using Yahoo's default game list, which is said to be about 20 games per week. Games will be picked ATS, the spreads do adjust from say Tuesday to Friday, so if you make a pick based on the spread yahoo shows Tuesday, it could change from the final spread that locks on Friday, all games will be scored off the final spread. Game picks lock 5 minutes before each game, you can make changes or selections up to 5 minutes before individual games. We are dropping everyone's single worst week - so if you forget, or join in week 2 and miss week 1, or you just have a really bad week, that will not hurt you.

Last year we had maybe 40 people play! Games start Friday 9/2, spreads are not posted yet, don't expect them to show until week of games.

There are 3 games Friday. Lines are posted, but the lines will change through the week. The Final line is what the game will be graded by. If it says "Off" you must still pick the game, but it is straight up as in lines are "off" the board. For some reason yahoo does this on some games.

Side bet; week that BAR first forgets to submit his picks. Over / Under week 3.5, Under -115

Yes the yahoo lines, whatever day they stop updating them, the can become stale by gametime.

Looks like I would've went 1-1-1, so I'm only 1 pt behind for not making picks. Not bad I suppose, but embarrassing none the less to forget especially after poking fun at BAR. But isn't that just the way things work? Make fun of somebody else and then it happens to you.

Anyone can still join this week and jump in. Everyone's single worst week is dropped. So if you sign up this week and start playing week 2, week 1 will be your dropped week and you'll be on equal footing with everyone else.

aplous tops the week 2 chart

with lowest single week drop, yahoo will use everyone's best weekly score and drop your lowest - so last week was a stronger week for more participants than week 2. We'll see how week 3 goes
 
I forgot to give a shout out to mogo and mean machine for last week's outstanding picks. Each were 17-8 with mogo winning the tie breaker. I'm not 100% sure who mean machine is here, but it might be dg84? 17 is the highest number of correct picks in a given week so far. Well done.

No Friday games this week.

Those guys up top throw away week as good my best weeks! Lol. There I sit right in the middle per usual!!
 
"Mean Machine" (dg84?) had the best week and he is the current overall leader.

4 points/games separate 1st from 4th. 7 points/games separate 1st - 10th
 
Hurricane Ian got my week all screwed up. No damage or anything but I was busy helping the hood and didnt have time to get into my betting groove.

That's rough. I'm sure you've seen a lot of bad shit. Sucks in so many ways. What's the gas station situation near by? Some friends of family were siphoning gas out of cars last week to run generators.

other than no damage which i am so happy and thankful for everything else is a struggle. Bottom line is I choose to live here so the potential was a threat i just didnt see something this terrible. Life is an adventure. Strap on your superman T-shirt and life goes on.
 
7 more weeks to go. splinter65 had the latest best week with 15. APlous also had 15, but evidentially lost the tie breaker
 
TenTeamer gets 19 correct this week - the highest yet. It's an alias so I don't know who they are, but we'll done! 6 weeks to go.

6 weeks to go, a lot can change if somebody gets hot.

B.A.R. Missed his first week certainly beating the over. 1 week forgotten never hurts as we drop everyone single worst week. So no need for anyone to stop now!

"Toilet Snake" and "Watson my Pants" post a 17 for best scores this week. Toilet Snake apparently won the tie breaker, good score for him to stick close to the top of the chart. Impressive score from Watson my Pants to make up some ground elsewhere in the standings.

There are 3 weeks left.

3 points separate 1st-3rd. 3 points separate 4th-8th. 3 points separate 9th-12th. Time left to improve positions.
 
A critical week for "Mean Machine" to get the best score of the week and sit atop the standings! Second - Fifth did not have good weeks. Two weeks to go!

There is separation at the top with just 1 week left!

Longhorns4life puts up a high weekly score of 18 to take over 1st place. 5 pts back Mean Machine is within striking distance. If the right circumstances happen 2nd-5th, maybe 6th can make a move.

Shout out to El Cap who had the second highest score this week. He missed 4 weeks earlier in the year, but keeps competing til the end. That's the way to do it!

I filled it out yesterday, but didn't put any picks in for today. By chance I just checked and saw everything for today was blank! Got them in.

BringinTheLefty, there are 17 games today, I think, maybe you'll hit it out of the park on those and finish strong.
