We're exactly a week away from the start of the season. Busy at work right now dealing with some Python and R issues in our models. Will get into more depth on the weekend but here are some futures i've taken.

Division Winners:

West Champions:
St.Louis Blues - 6.05, 33.5% to win division
Colorado Avalanche - 2.56, 24.4% to win division

East Champions:
Philadelphia FLyers - 5.00, 28.5% to win division

North Champions:
Toronto Maple Leafs - 2.35, 19.%% to win division
Calgary Flames - 8.07, 12.6% to win division

Central Champions:
Tampa Bay Lightning - 2.35, 30.1% to win division

NHL Team Points

Boston Bruins under 70.5 points - 1.87, on pace for 70.8
Toronto Maple Leafs over 68.5 points - 1.87, on pace for 66.3
St. Louis Blues over 69.5 points - 1.87, on pace for 71.1
Philadelphia Flyers over 66.5 points - 1.87, on pace for 69.8
Will do a recap/trending on these based on moneypuck numbers..

-St. Louis looks to be my best bet so far
-Philadelphia points looks good
-Toronto looks okay (okay may not be fair given that they are 7-2-1), but Montreal has 3 more games left with Ottawa than Toronto does and currently it is free points. Need to hope that Ottawa comes alive late in the season
-TB seems like a no brainer
-Boston will come down to the wire it seems (was caught between the over and boston losing for the season bets...LEN was the hope, but the penalties screwed it up

Was fortunate with what transpired in the Arizona game, but sometimes it's better to be lucky than it is good, only loss was the long shot stl play and it ended 4-3 lol...4 goals in 3 minutes

Pretty light card with all the postponements, was bound to happen though.

Waiting on some Mike Hoffman props, he's been elevated to the top line and he's been starting to get his legs and understanding Berube's system.. Blues need to unleash Krug, the team should adjust to him sooner or later

some key notes for Feb 08,

- mike smith is making his season debut
- vasilevsky gets the night off for Champa Bay
-Nedeljkovic getting the nod for the Canes
- personal note, but if I'm Toronto I would give Freddy the night off..yes he's been getting rest, but you have two keys game against the Habs coming up on Wednesday and Saturday... you give him 3 days rest between last game and Wednesday and then 2 for Saturday. Have to get Hutch in there eventually with Campbell situation unclear. Good time against a struggling and young Canucks team.
