2019 St. Louis Cardinals

Cardinals closer Jordan Hicks has suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the team announced. Hicks may need to undergo Tommy John surgery as a result, though the club noted it’s still determining the next course of action.
Should Hicks have to go under the knife, he’d miss the rest of this year and likely the majority of next season.
That sucks

Best closer in the game, 100 miles and Giles is on the market. He’s been filthy ever since Houston traded him. 1-1 1.33 ERA 12 saves which would be higher if he wasn’t on such a bad team. My guess is one of those NL contenders goes for him, they all need bullpen help.

Cards took care of business against the teams they needed to beat. Now their schedule becomes absolutely brutal. I think this is where we‘ll start to see if they‘re truly playoff-caliber
