first glance liked Wizards over 40 and Cavs 40.5 over their numbers.

Now off on the Wiz, lot of concern for their front court, Okafor will be out for a while (back) and Nene (host of injuries) will probably miss half the games.. This is a big part of their defense, while having Wall and Arizia healthy is nice, without the other two protecting the rim one more injury and they could be in trouble again... will keep an eye on their totals as they might have to go with a smaller/fast line up more often..

Cavs over 40.5 -big play --- like what this team did for depth.. don't like that Jack is banged up already but i do think this team hits about 45 wins...

Trying to get a feel for this Suns teams but so many new players makes it tough. Suns won 24 games last year. Have a better coach this year and I think a little more talent. Real question I think is if Gortat is traded. Len is too new and needs to build his strength before becoming an effective center. If Gortat stays its a contract year for him and Suns go over easily. Will watch more.

Agreed. That seems really low for the Lakers. I know they're not exactly a contender (maybe not even a playoff contender), but them playing .500 ball isn't out of the question, and they don't even have to do that at 36.5.

You would think so, but you never know with Pau. The return date of Kobe will obviously have a lot to do with whether or not the Lakers get over that team total for wins.

Just saw an interesting story about Kobe changing his Twitter avatar to 1225. It's possible that it has a double meaning...it could mean he thinks he will come back and play his first game on Christmas Day vs the Heat. It could also refer to the rankings that ESPN apparently came out with...they had the Lakers at #12 in the Western Conference, and Kobe as the 25th best player in the NBA right now.

I know Kobe is getting up there in age, but do you guys think he's that low on the totem pole in the NBA right now? I don't know that there are 24 better players in the NBA than Kobe, and I certainly know there aren't 24 guys I'd want on my team more than Kobe (thinking right now, not building a team around or for the future). Having him at #25 seems a bit disrespectful to the Mamba. He was 3rd in the league in scoring last year, is still a beast on defense, is probably the most competitive and driven player in the league, and there aren't many guys you could want with the ball in their hands and the game on the line than him.

I heard mixed reports on Beal.... Booker is good but he is undersized - thats why i think they could be going with a smaller more athletic lineup.. do they win by running more??

Nice win. Someone asked will Otto help....well damn that is a definite no and I wonder if he is a bust though I didn't see him play enough to get an accurate reading. He just seemed so unathletic to me even at Georgetown but he could play D and had a good basketball IQ but damn he was the 3rd pick in the draft....just hard for me to believe.

I am in utter shock at how good they did this year and if Hornacek isn't the coach of the year they should stop giving it out.
