2007-08 Bowl Projections and Line Predictions--Updated 11/29/07

With WVU's loss, I gotta take USC, LSU., and Va Tech off the confirmed list.

Let the clusterfuck begin.

cant wait for you to post what i want in a wee bit

Well, the way Hawaii is playing, Illinois will most likely get into a BCS game somewhere. Most likely the Sugar Bowl.

Will your Mom and Dad let you go?

lol. just post it with some sugar or roses and in orange and blue when its announced.

CBS Sports is projecting Illinois to the Rose--presumably to keep the traditional matchup against USC.

That'll kill what I considered to be one of the best bowl matchups that had been projected--and a game that could be a second MNC game: USC v. UGA.

BCS Bowl Projections:

BCS championship game: No. 1 Ohio State (11-1) vs. No. 2 LSU (11-2)

Rose Bowl: No. 8 USC (10-2) vs. 13. Illinois (9-3)

Sugar Bowl: No. 4 Georgia (10-2) vs. No. 10 Hawai'i (12-0)

Fiesta Bowl: No. 5 Oklahoma (11-2) vs. No. 9 West Virginia (10-2)

Orange Bowl: No. 3 Virginia Tech (11-2) vs. No. 7 Kansas (11-1)

Calling it Early:

Ohio State v. LSU in MNC (everyone knows this stands for Mythical National Championship, right?)

Allstate BCS National Championship
Jan. 7 / 8 p.m. New Orleans, La. FOX
*BCS #1 vs. BCS #2
Projection:
Ohio State vs. LSU

What a bunch of bullshit.

Here are the teams that I think of having a legitimate argument for being the best college football team RIGHT NOW:

In no particular order,

Ohio State
LSU
Florida
Georgia
Va Tech
OU
USC
Arizona State
Hawaii

if mcgee throws that td at iowa instead of the pick in the RZ, ohio st isnt in this game. However, they are and are gonna win it. sucks for everybody else that the Illini crashed this bowl season.

gus johnson ------> haha

Ohio St.--a 1 loss team--isn't in the game? But an Illini team with 2 losses (even giving them the Iowa game) is?

I don't think so? The orange kool-aid is choking your brain.

tOSU wouldnt be #1 in big 10 if mcgee hadnt been a dumbass at iowa and threw the pick in the RZ to end the game. if that pick is a td, then the ohio st haters wouldnt have to watch ohio st in national title game. we still be in BCS game but as #1 team in Big 10 and would get more respect (not that i really care about that, because no respect means good line).

You're wrong, Brewer. Illinois might have won the Big Ten (losing only to Michigan), but was still a 2 loss team.

No guarantee that they would have gotten in.

In fact, if you look at the polls, the game would be LSU v. OU.

i know it wouldnt have changed our BCS game. saying it would have knocked osu out and ou or whomever else in.

word out of the WAC....not confirmed yet

Boise State to the Hawaii bowl (vs. East Carolina) .... the players want to play away from Boise, and basically the WAC is letting them decide to go to Hawaii, instead of playing at home vs. ACC team

Fresno State to the Humanitarian Bowl (vs. G. Tech or Maryland)...most likely G tech....The terps will most lieky end up in Emerald Bowl. Pat Hill will love to play ACC team in Bowl game, instead of E Carolina

Nevada to the New Mexico Bowl

long shot.....Boise State to Vegas Bowl to play BYU....(BYU/UCLA again....who wants that besides the PAC-10 to just fill the spot)

Longhorns will play in Holiday Bowl

Sunday, December 2, 2007, 05:37 PM
Texas has accepted an invitation to the Holiday Bowl, where it will face Arizona State.
The bowl game was once the Longhorns’ home away from home, but this will mark their first appearance in San Diego since 2003.
The game will be played Dec. 27.

This means that Pac-10 will only put USC in the BCS and that the SEC, Big Ten, and Big XII will put 2 teams in to the BCS each.

This also means, most likely, that Aggie will play in the Alamo Bowl, UCLA will play in the Armed Services Bowl, Oregon State will play in the Sun, and Cal will play in the Las Vegas Bowl.

SEC Bowl Selections Announced

Though we don't know exactly where LSU and Georgia will end up, the bowl selections for the rest of the SEC have been largely announced. Here goes:
Independence Bowl: Alabama v. Colorado
Cotton Bowl: Arkansas v. Big 12 Team
Chick-Fil-A Bowl: Auburn v. Clemson
Liberty Bowl: Mississippi State v. Central Florida
Outback Bowl: Tennessee v. Wisconsin
Music City Bowl: Kentucky v. Florida State
As said earlier, the BCS selections have not been announced yet, but that will change in a couple of hours and it will wrap up the rest of the bowl berths.
At this point, however, it looks like LSU will be headed to New Orleans to play Ohio State in the national championship game, and Georgia will either be headed to the Sugar Bowl or headed to the Rose Bowl to take on USC.
There has been no announcement yet regarding the Florida Gators, but by process of elimination it seems that they will be headed to Orlando to play in the Capital One Bowl. Once there, they will be playing a team from the Big Ten, most likely Ron Zook and his former Illinois squad.
South Carolina has been left out of the bowl picture. The Gamecocks' official website states that they have learned that they will be sitting at home come this bowl season.

Sugar had the last choice this year I think. Hawaii had to be the last pick, I doubt they travel well.

Im pretty sure Georgia and their running game would absolutly destroy Hawaii

Jesus another commercial. This is the worst presentation I have ever seen

If it's Ohio St/LSU in the Championship, then the pick order was Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta and Sugar.

If I were the Rose I would've taken Georgia.
