World Juniors '25 start in Ottawa today, my favorite Tourney of the year, have been to 2 tourneys Hamilton 1986 & Halifax 2003 both times I got to see Canada take the Gold. Taking the 3 hr drive to Ottawa this weekend to take in some action. I have Canada & USA as 1a 1b followed by Sweden as my top 3 teams. Anyways been looking around and found this little tidbit for those who play patterns,.

1985 Canada RR Undefeated- Won Gold
1995 Canada RR Undefeated- Won Gold
2005 Canada RR Undefeated- Won Gold
2015 Canada RR Undefeated- Won Gold

My favorite tournament of the year outside of March as well. I agree with your assessment, I like USA to win it but no value at +130.

Reviewed my assessment after weekend games, without a doubt the worst group of European Officials in 10-15yrs, Canada & USA are in tough they are not wanted here, IIHF def has there fingers in the mix, Refs with many bad calls and missed calls Linesmen missing 2-3 offsides every game don't even stand on the blueline anymore call offsides from 4-5 feet inside or outside blueline, on faceoffs they just stand there after dropping puck and seem to interfere with at least 1 player sometimes both. The Canadian & American Refs were without a doubt 10X better than the Euro contingent.
My new rankings are 1. Czech Republic 2. Sweden 3. USA 4. Finland/Canada, I think we see a Sweden/Czech Final.

Last night they were destroying any kind of consistency or logic in the Canada game. I have no idea what's going on but it's not good.

And yeah, agreed so far - Czechs and Sweden are passing the eye test as the best right now for me.
