Can't wait for this weekend's High school football playoffs at Williamsville South .. As Section 6 ( Buffalo) hosts Secrion 5 ( Rochester ) in the regionals ( State Quarterfinals ) .....I am in utter shock at a couple of the point spreads ( more on that later )...

EAST (Rochester) Friday 8pm at Williamsville South.

Sure Clarence is undefeated but they have not met a team with nearly as much athleticism as EAST.
Section 6 Champs Clarence made it through what is arguably considered a down year for Class A section 6.

While EAST took care of business in a highly competitive Class A in Rochester, very impressed with their 25-8 win over Brighton who upset top ranked Victor in the semi-finals finals.
East QB Zymier Jackson set a plethora of passing records this season and throughout his hs tenure.
Clarence has never faced a qb like Zymier at any point in the last 2 decades .

I'm in shock over the current line that has moved up from 6/6.5 on Tuesday.
Expected this to be around even/ pick em .

Monroe has destroyed a very weak class B in section 5 out scoring opponents 470-6 . Went back and watched several of their games, the competition they faced was bottom of the barrel. While they likely would have made the playoffs in section 6 they would have taken a few losses imo ..Not saying Monroe can't win this game , but this spread is a major overreaction of their massive blow out wins.

Health and Sciences is battle tested , playing some really tough competition in a loaded deep class B in section 6.
They just put up 38 on a very good Pioneer squad .


I'm waiting to see if this line continues to rise as it's already 12.5 from the big book in Ra cha cha who is finally taking my action again with regional play under way .

Extremely confusing point spread as McQuaid's excellent QB is OUT. Although that didn't stop them from running over a very good University Prep 45-14 last week as a 3 point chalk in the Rochester Sectional final. They ran a hurry up rushing offense that only threw the ball once.

Maybe this is a classic overreaction of Bennett only winning 20-7 over Lancaster last week? The game plan seemed deliberately vanilla, not showing anything on tape , barely passing , running most plays with 2 blocking fullbacks. Maybe Section 5's East domination last night of Clarence plays into this seemingly ridiculous point spread...Thinking Coach McDuffie has some never seen before offensive plays and defensive fronts in the game plan today..


This spread was not available until this morning due to injuries to McQuaid and Bennett's Aaron Roseboros status update .


Either way I'll pass on betting , just plan on going bananas at the game tonight.
