Georgia fan here is all upset about the U getting flips from UGA commits. Funny they have problem for years doing the same thing to other schools and now are crying foul. Its amazing how much attention Miami gets for a program that hasn't been relevant in more than 20 years. Mario should get a show cause or whatever its called penalty and be barred from coaching.
The whole recruiting landscape is ridiculous and why I've stopped following it altogether. I am a Miami fan and realize you can give Mario the best roster money can buy and he's still going to lose a minimum of 3 games.Georgia fan here is all upset about the U getting flips from UGA commits. Maybe why they (Miami) are potentially bending the rules? Its amazing how much attention Miami gets for a program that hasn't been relevant in more than 20 years. Mario should get a show cause or whatever its called penalty and be barred from coaching.
Nfl, since it's conception, has used college football as it's minor league farm system. The college football I loved for 40+ years is dead ...
Might as well do away with the colleges and just make 130 teams , call the DIET NFL ..
The fact that one university would sue another for the financial harm arising from luring a player to leave one school for the other underscores the notion that these players are employees. Not students/student-athletes. This is a tort lawsuit, which all businesses have to abide under the threat of penalty.
The sooner these employees are treated as such, the easier it will be for the NCAA and its members to begin to restore order to a system (probably a union) that has become chaotic due to the scuttling of corrupt rules (NCAA violated US anti-trust laws for at least a half century) that have prevented players from getting paid their value in our capitalistic system.
THIS IS HUGE toward a first step in "fixing" the chaos.
Yes. Most everyone is.The universities and athletic departments are steadfastly against classifying the players as employees and unionization though right?
