Why the Packers lost

Just sucks that Burnett is in the position to probably wish he hadn't even picked the ball off at this point, I mean he's somehow a goat for picking it off. Just let it go next time...had he just not made that catch it would have been lost in all of this.

Give Green Bay a chance on offense in OT and those numbers are different. Lets talk about how a coin toss could have changed everything too.

I think that play is the one I'm most upset about.

If I'm a Packers fan, I'd be more pissed at the 2-pt conversion defense. It literally cost them a win in regulation despite anything else that occurred negatively from their pov; the lobbed duck Wilson threw gave two defenders in the vicinity the opportunity to run towards it's landing point. One continued to cover/stay by his receiver (the latter clearly not already in the postion where the ball was headed) and seems on replay to be guilty of simply ball watching, while the other defender - covering the eventual receiver - also looks clearly guilty on replay of simply ball watching, and only realising until too late that his man had the perfect positioning to be able to catch it. Obv. the Hags D, knowing the game was gone if they then subsequently conceded 3, would've played with more urgency than they otherwise did on that final drive, but just because that would've been the case doesn't mean Gby still wouldn't have managed the Fg they eventually got.

Peppers might be more to blame than Burnett...if hes turning around and blocking the guy behind him instead of yelling at Burnett to get down gotta think he keeps going right?

Also if Clinton Dix was the one to pick it ya know damn well he wasnt going down

If Burnett doesn't slide down and ends up fumbling the ball back to Seattle, everyone would be blasting the guy and saying "if you just fukkin go down there, the game is OVER.....selfish, stupid play on his part"

I will also that that things move fast in game speed and, as much as everyone seeming likes to believe, he did not get the chance to "pause" the game for 5 seconds to get a bird's-eye view of the field (and where every Seahawk player was at) the split-second he picked off the ball.....I know some of you guys played ball, some maybe not....we all just sometimes need to remember how fast shit happens on the field.....it is all very easy in hindsight.....

there are a lot of things the Pack fans can point to, but Burnett's decison to slide is way, way down the list........if you are up by 12, wiht the ball near midfield with 5 minutes to go, there are no excuses for not closing it out.......none

well said/written

Burnett made a poor decision, but the biggest play by far was the fake FG for a TD, if they play a safe D and Seattle doesn't score or get a first down then this game is over. It was 19-0 with less than 20 minutes to play, this was the momentum changer. If that play blows up Seattle is deflated and done for the day.

Agree. This and the two-pointer lost in space for what seemed an eternity. And punch it in on 4th-and-a-foot, Jesus, grow a sac. Probability sez you get both of those. They should have been up by 28+.

The slide and the onside were just shit happens plays.

Incredibly improbable beat for you Green Bay fans. I feel absolutely no sorrow, too hardened.

That was absolutely mind boggling. How the hell do you not defend that? You could have had a glass of wine with the best Wisconsin cheese in less time than it took that ball to drop. If Seattle thinks the Pats are going to take their foot off the gas like the Packers did they will be trashed by Belichick.

Not the first time we've all seen a team's assholes pucker up under pressure & it won't be the last.
Central Michigan/WKU game comes to mind.

Change one of about 20 different things & Green Bay wins.

I watched that play several times and it looks like Dix thought about deflecting the ball, then though about making the tackle, and ended up somewhere in the middle of the two without accomplishing either

When RWil released that ball, I was certain the Pack was going to pick and take it back for the 2 (to win by 1 point).......I agree with Capone, you can totally see the uncertainty with HHCD

U can't return the ball for any pts in that situation
In college, yeah

When I want guidance on taxes, I consult a CPA. When I need to know the football rules, I go with dudleysdad.

All I want out of this upcoming Super Bowl is a good game, and footballs pumped to proper league specifications. I can always tell when the thing's a little underinflated, I pretty much turn off the TV out of disgust when I notice.

I believe this game might be closer than last year, but that's just a lean at this point.

Packers fan from down under, so still trying to get my head around what happened.

Just a question: with the onside kick, if Bostick punches the ball away and it goes out, who gets the ball? If GB does, wouldn't that have been the safest option in that situation?

Superbowl: Patriots will play similarly to the Packers, but will go for the jugular and score points on them, just like they did not let up against the Colts. Revis won't allow any deep balls while the DL can clog up the running lanes to prevent Lynch from doing anything. And who will stop the Gronk? Also Brady should do well with the slant passes as Rodgers had some success there.
