What have we learned after 3 weeks of the NFL season?

Fade the biggest fave of the day? ML it if your book allows.

Also that it would appear the only team Bradford has looked halfway decent for was the Vikings.

Not everyone was upset by Jimmy G’s season ending knee injury, his ex girlfriend Alexandra King took to her Instagram stories to call it Karma. She was the one dating Jimmy when he was caught on video with a porn star.

hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...

also, Pats...not so good.
Suck DB's and super slow lacking talent at LB's. and don't get me started at WR's

the league has caught up to them and if the Lion rumors are true (and they are) about Gronk, Hoodie wanted this year to be a rebuilding and TB would've retired if it went thru.

Tom Brady- I think he’s toast. He might play cling on for 2-3 more years but he’s nowhere near the Tom Brady that dominated the NFL. Granted, a lot of what took place last night has to do with him having a shit WR core, but Brady has always gotten the most out of very little. Last night he looked OLD ya know? He looked ordinary. He’s looked ordinary for 3 straight games, they’re 1-2 and they very well may lay another egg this week against Miami.

Quick Lions thought...

For you live bettors out there....

If the Lions are leading I really think they are going to try and shorten games big-time. That means a lot of clock running and a lot of running in general. I do not think that is just last night. I think they would have done it week one if they had gotten out 14-0 or so as well.

What does this do? It keeps a below average defense off the field. That can only help and also the other team cannot get into a rhythm at all.

So...Unders perhaps?

On the flip-side, if they get down early they are going to be the whole sling it around Lions. They have to be to a point. We know what they are capable of passing the ball....

So...Overs perhaps?

I know these seem like simple concepts but that is what I really am taking in off a small sample size with the new regime.

Pats have peeps right where they want them, full of doubt about their future. They'll go 9-1 from here on in or thereabouts.

That is the Patriot way. Pats 28-6 SU (21-12-1 ATS) in the month of October past 8 seasons. September is their feel it out, fuck-around month.

Brady gets his little ratdog WR back next week and Josh Gordon should be there as well.

Rams took some injuries while Vikings tanked it by rushing the ball 6 times? Guess who's fresher going into Thursdays game. Rams ran Gurley 23 times so expect more of an aerial attack. Rams -6.5 seems a bi high but I wouldn't bet against they way they've been scoring. WTF happened in Minnesota?
Injuries are mounting in the NFL. Time to know the injury list where it's most important. WTF happened in Minnesota? Rams backup DBs are decent so we shouldn't see a huge dropoff. Rams pass rush has been non-existent. WTF happened in Minnesota?

it is one of the biggest "wtf happened there" games I have ever seen in the NFL. Vikings probably just thought they could sleep walk through the game and get the W and were already looking at the Rams, who I am sure they consider their competition for the NFC. Idk, crazy stuff.

Trap game + news coming out last night about DE Everson Griffen's mental health issues popping up over the past few weeks and culminated in him in the hospital for evaluations on Saturday. I'm sure that was on the minds of several players for Sunday's game - especially the defense.

Not sure what to make of this team right now. They fly to LA tonight for the game and Griffen most likely to miss the game. Cook should be back though. With Ram's starting corners out I think makes them vulnerable if the OL can give Cousins some time. They need to run the ball though. 6 attempts in any game is absurd.

Rams have gotten little pressure on the QB. Some of it is from QBs getting rid of the ball quicker and some is from their losing at the LOS. Rams knew they would have issues with their edge rushers. Obo who was a draft pick from OU looked to be a guy who could take on a Von Miller role but he's been on IR. Rams are gonna need to outscore teams like they did vs the Supa overrated Charga's.

Back to doubting the Pats again. Had a great talk when I was out in LV a couple weeks ago with bartender at sports book and ticket writer. Pats vs Jags I said you know what this is right? They all said yup, we agreed its the game where the Pats get buried. Its the same story, the Pats dont care about the first month of the year. I believe part of that is their division is so bad historically that they can afford to go through the motions. They arent worried about early regular season games.

They have been killed in September before, Arrowhead comes to mind. Now is probably a good time to back them. Divisional game down 2 games to MIA at home off two brutal losses. I wont step in the way of them. MIA playing way over their heads. If they lose this game, might be on to something but then they get Edelman back. Brady isnt too old, look at his WRs, they stink right now. They will right the ship.

WEEK 3 OFFENSIVE TIERS, moved 4 teams:

ELITE (must watch TV)
Kansas City
LA Rams
New Orleans (Up 1 tier)

SHOULD BE JUST FINE (happy to see in my over bet)
Pittsburgh - what is up with their running game?
LA Chargers
New England - waiting for Gordon and Edelman
Atlanta - Ridley could move them up to top tier
Minnesota - mulligan last week
Green Bay - Skins tougher spot than usual
Philly (TE central)

ON PAPER THEY COULD BE GOOD, WHY AM I DOUBTING?
Jacksonville (down 1 tier)- Leonard, where for art thou?
Cincinnati - Ginger (nice run of home games coming)
Baltimore - Flacco
Houston - Oline
Carolina - Oline and TE
Oakland - Carr
Detroit - Still can't run
Tampa Bay - Fitzmagic balloon starting to leak
Indy - Pieces don't seem to mesh

HAVE A COUPLE OF PIECES BUT ARE FLAWED THIS YEAR
Miami - WR depth, slow paced
Tennessee - QB
Dallas - WR, WR, WR, WR
NY Giants - QB
Denver - QB
Washington - RB
Seattle - WR
Chicago - WR
Cleveland (Up 1 tier) - Giving Baker show some love, we'll see

NOT READY THIS YEAR (rookie/backup QB pains)
San Francisco (down 2 tiers) - CJ Beathard, snakebit season
NY Jets
Arizona
Buffalo

WEEK 3 DEFENSIVE TIERS, moved 4 teams:

ELITE (blowout cover ability)
Jacksonville - D might need to score more
Minnesota - mulligan week
LA Rams
Philly

ARRIVING WITH POTENTIAL (will keep them in a lot of games)
Cleveland - they keep looking good
Dallas - a couple of breakdown, but only allowed 295 yds in almost 33 minutes on the field
Houston - getting close to moving down, pass rush has been underwhelming considering the talent level
Chicago - getting close to moving up a tier
Washington - (up 1 tier) numbers saying they belong at the moment

CAN BE GOOD AGAINST THE RIGHT MATCHUP
Miami
NY Jets
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Tennessee
Indy
LA Chargers (still waiting for Bosa, KC and LAR will make a lot of teams look bad)
Denver
Carolina
Seattle (up 1 tier, Dallas will be the right matchup for a lot of teams)

NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS PAST REP
Green Bay
Atlanta (down 1 tier, what has happened to NFC South?)
New Orleans (seriously, what has happened to NFC South?)
NY Giants
Pittsburgh
Kansas City
New England (getting pushed around was concerning)
Oakland
Detroit (up 1 tier, Slay helps the ranking a lot)

SIEVES (over central)
Buffalo
Arizona
San Francisco
Tampa Bay

Lions just had their first 100 yard rusher since Barry or so it seemed. Lets see what they do with it now. Kerryon looks pretty damn good, I mean Im sure he will get injured soon and the line will regress but at least they finally ran the ball.

All this talk after the lions first loss that Patricia was too hard on them etc and players were upset, hogwash. This is what they want, to weed out the pussies and get guys who want to get tough, it had to be done. Not saying it will work and Im far from sold on Patricia as it will take a couple years to get things moving the way he would want, but the culture needed to be changed if you want to punish people on the ground and become a tough team. Maybe just maybe after last Sunday these guys say "you know what, maybe if we stop being such losers and actually work hard and grind, we can get something out of our profession"

If they run on the Cowboys I will feel a lot better.
