Week 7 What Are We Learning

I also learned Utah got some much deserved karma for the constant jerking around everybody about Cam Rising. Dude probably had no business being out there. Dude looked bad.

I’ve been on this since the Sooners game, kinda pissed I didn’t bet gators but couldn’t convince myself to take same amount of points w gators I got w Arkansas but when are ppl gonna figure out vols are not the team everyone thinks they are? Most the team is perfectly fine but to me it abundantly clear this qb is not the answer. Imo they not a playoff team with this guy under center. Stop the run and they have no counter. I was just as fooled early on but when I watched him vs Sooners it became pretty clear to me. He ain’t no Hendon hooker. They lucky Mertz got hurt or they prob lose this game also.

dunno this falls into the what I’ve learned category but every week Vandy shoulda beat mizzou, beats bama, has halftime lead on uk just reminds me of the huge parlay they cost me losing to god damn Georgia st! How the fuck does that happen considering how they have played since?!,!??????! Feel like that loss is gonna continue pissing me off all year!! lol

I was surprised there wasn't more blowback from Kirby pushing the Miss St qb. That just seems like something that would be discussed more nationally.

If that was JH we'd see it on the national news hehe.
It was just weird. Sometimes if there's a skirmish between both teams, you may see a coach get a little handsy. This kid just looked like he was going back to field, and got in the way of Kirby running to yell at an assistant, and got shoved for it.

The slow mo doesn't look as bad as the live action.

I changed my stance after watching both.

Interesting on the Lanning thing, purposely putting a 12th guy on the field to prevent a long play by OSU and to help burn the clock. If you're going to purposefully have too many on the field why not just put two extra guys on the field? I don't think it's 5 yards per extra player. Same penalty, whether 12 or 13 guys I'm guessing.

Tessitore is becoming unlistenable. 5 minutes into a game and a team kicking a FG doesn't equate to a "monumental game in the making".

The Smart thing with the MSU player was really not a big deal. See CPA above.

I think that if you toss too many guys out there they may notice before the play starts? Therefore negate the purpose of burning some clock.

Amen on the Tessitore thing. I used to really enjoy him but like you said, he is really leaning into the hyperbole and fake excitement after mundane plays. And being the early game makes it worse

Yup, I'm sure this is right. Calculated risk by Lanning even throwing out the 12th player w/o notice. I don't know if Lanning even (normally) calculates his risks but one nonetheless.

Pitt wasn’t nearly as impressive this week, surprised cal was able to totally bottle up Holstein but that coulda been a product of getting gashed by ward, most likely was a huge focus on pass d this week.

Frank
Tessitore’s kid got 1 Div 1 offer. BC Addizio. The Dazzler as we called him was on the hot seat. So he gives this pillowfoot a free tuition. Why? turn on the So Bama game to get the answer.
Horrible coach.
