At first glance I like Chicago -3 at home. I like the way Jay Cutler has been playing, they should be able to put up some points on the Dolphins. ATL getting a full touchdown seems a little too high. Pretty tough looking card IMO.
 
Colts and Cards at first glance...Cinn d really bad last two weeks and Cards seem very poised and so much better than Oak who just left it all out there against the bolts...possible dd wins in both
 
Off topic but this dude just quit the NRL (Aussie Rugby League) to try and crack the NFL. Dude was a big deal in his former sport. Believe he's had meetings with the Hags...

so the jets have been a piss poor ats team. is this the spot to back or continue to fade? NE has CHI/DEN to look forward to. Being a Thur game lean Jets considering the spot.
As for sunday Rams, Saints,Giants, and niners stick out.
 
That Thursday NYJ/NE game might be getting nasty weather also come game time. Maybe the weather can help the Jets keep it close.
 
was just about to post the weather issue. if you ml dog the whole board, I would be shocked if you lost money. Seems like a lot of ripe games for the picking
 
Interesting week. We see the books finally adjusting values on some of these teams. Not much out there, but I like OAK and HOUS.

Haven't these games been historically close? It's a hot rivalry. Not sure PATS will score enough to cover the big #. Jets run D already pretty good and Pats run O took a hit with Ridley gone.

Why would you think this is something that would hinder their production...and I think you just made a case for the over btw... (weather permitting)...
NE's offense has very little to do with their ability to run the ball effectively. (Not arguing here, just wondering why you think their ground game is gonna make it harder for them to cover a big number)...NYJ aren't gonna be able to stop NE from moving the chains w/o that oaf healthy again (Gronk) And Brady's resurgence (we're gonna have to start calling it that)...

If the weather permits...take another look at the line...Vegas REALLY doesn't want NE action
 
I guess my thought is that if NE poses no threat in the run game, Rex can sellout on the pass and bring some of his exotic blitz packages. Personally, I don't the game and I won't be playing a side.
 
rex's blitz packages rely on star corner's ability to cover man 2 man with a seasoned saftey....This season he has none of that lol...

NE's not gonna miss much of a step on the running game IMO anyways...I think Vereen has more talent then Ridley and will get the opportunity to show it

Wicked rivalry....Jets will play harder Thursday than any game this year. Pats will try to beat them by 40. Brady hates the Jets and isn't afraid to say so. Rex hates Belichick and isn't afraid to say so. Some close games and some blowouts each way in recent years. Jets d line the only redeeming feature to a bad football team and with Ridley gone Brady will "probably" throw against a weak secondary as his primary attack (my guess) Can't see Jets scoring much,I suspect Bill will confuse Geno into submission. Tough game to bet but put a gun to my head I would go with Pats and the under.Hoping line comes down later in week

I agree that NE run game will not be that affected by Ridley being gone,especially in this game where regardless of Ridley status Brady is probably going to pass a ton. My guess he opens the game with 6-8 straight passes.If you look historically this is the point in the season where the good Pats teams starting taking off....talking myself into another pats bet..lol
 
Saints off a bye have been tremendous under Sean P if memory serves me right...no Jimmy G(but Hill has shown promise...a good bit), but Mark Ingram back and had been running hard before the injury in contract year.

Saints need the game desperately....lean pts and ML

ONE drawback is a revenge spot for Leos from a playoff thrashing.....I have to think SP has em ready off the bye

Trust Payton and the Slob enough to know they gonna get at their former QB coach Lombardi's offense with an extra week's prep. Cats' pussy O-line will get torn up and Staff will be on his ass more than off it.
 
Talked with my book this am...says he is buried in Jet money...needs a Pats cover...line actually went from 9-9 1/2 on his site...Pats cover?

Only 1 PT winner this season has totaled less than 26 pts (the last 14 PT winners have totaled at least 27 pts): that 1 exception is the only PT game this season that's failed to total at least 10 pts by half-time.

Unusual stat: no road team has scored 1st & lost SU so far this PT season. After 19 games, that's an exceedingly lengthy stretch of games for such a result to be lacking (so far, 3 home teams have scored 1st & lost SU). Since the Jets are an *obvious* loser, it would seem this TNF game is a prime spot for this particular statistical drought to end.
 
Nice BC...good to see you, wish you posted more. So there has to be some correction to those PT stats, right?
 
And emkee and Twinkie I agree w the Saints.

Point made by amd elsewhere (and emkee here) that Lombardi took the saints Off and implemented it in Det. So they have had two weeks to prepare for the Lions, and an offense that they know extremely well obviously. And as mentioned, the o-line is not strong. Staff going to have issues sunday. Saints wil be prepared
 
And I like the Jets w dd. I hate, hate backing them. And try to never put money on them. But I think the d-line will get pressure on Brady and will afford the poor secondary some much needed help. Might make it a small play. But ugh, the fucking Jets are so miserable

I don't think anyone is betting the Jets right now. I'd imagine this line will hit 10 once folks get off work. "Sharps" will probably take the 10, but after last week I doubt any big money comes in on the Jets. It's clear that Geno Smith can single-handily lose a game (and lose a cover) at anytime.

The Jets have allowed at least 24 points in every game this season except week 1 against Oakland -- a game they did not cover despite holding Oakland to 14 points.

Today: Scattered showers & downpours through the day. Some of that rain will be locally heavy during the midday-afternoon. 1-2" of rain is likely with this storm. Breezy, mild & muggy with temps near 70. Southwest wind 7-17mph.

Tonight: Evening downpours taper between 7-10 pm (around 8pm down at Gillette). Warm night yet again with mostly cloudy skies. Lows from 53-58. Light southwest wind.

tough to want to lay points on the road, but I think ARI is worth it as they should be getting a line like SD had. IND has had some really shady lines at home this year, either Vegas doesn't think they're good or they don't value that HFA

There's certainly been no previous start to a PT season like this before that I recall, but then these rule changes were always going to underpin some kind of 'development' like this. So while I would expect a correction, the extent of it is what's in question: how much of what we're seeing is the new norm, and how much of it is beyond even that? The extent of the correction (if any) we're going to see will likely answer that question for us.

yeah, rule changes are definitely a big reason for this. so far, i have been playing a lot of totals and they are almost all Overs. I've done very well with that so far. So hard to take unders in this league, you have to really like the play and be really sure of it to play it, imo

seems like a really tough card. only thing i have played is nyg+7 -115 . one of my fav bets of the season so far, line is so out of whack. no way was this thing more than 3.5 before last weeks events transpired.. the teams gmen have struggled with are some of the most blitz heavy in the league, dal d doesnt blitz much and they have not had success getting to the qb. think they keep eli clean and he exposes some of the weakness dal been masking on this side of the ball. just dont see how this gm doesnt come down to the wire? next time dal beats nyg by more than a td will be the 1st time in a long while..

kinda wanna play the jags but that just says how ugly the card looks to me. not surprised browns been pretty good but am surprised the way they doing it with the offense leading the way. the d been far worse than i would have expected it to be coming into the season. i think bortles can have some success it just a matter if jags can finish drives. the defense has held up really well in the red zone and browns efficiency down there is bound to regress some. new territory for brownies these next 3 gms where they gonna be substantial favs. i could see them a little flat here and letting jags hang around. certainly dont love it tho..

i do like the over in Oakland. cards defense takes chances, they give up plays and when they make plays they look to score. think there prob some of both in this gm if how raiders ran their offense last week is any indication of what they plan on going forward. lot of shotgun passing from carr, if they continue that they should be able to put up some points and again most likely turn it over for some points as well.
