Week 7 1-AA Discussion......

I haven't had much time to research this weeks games, so I'm mostly going to take not of the opening lines, and go from there.

But my first play is...

William & Mary pk...

I think too much emphasis is being put on W&M being blown out by Villanova. However, they fumbled 2 consecutive kickoffs in the 1st quarter, and couldn't rebound.

For Maine to win this game, they will have to score, which is something they can't do.

I'll look into it a little more, but I'm sure this line will move.

That was one of the first ones that caught my eye. Hard to see Maine scoring more than 10 against anyone these days.

Any thoughts on the Griz heading to Sacramento, or McNeese at home vs SHSU? These are two that also caught my eye at first glance without any research whatsoever.

CB -

I just had a nice write up on the Montana game, but somehow I hit refresh and lost it. Long story short. I like Montana only laying 9.5, but there are a few questions. How will they react in their first road game of the season after 5 straight home games? Were they just going through the motions because they were bored, and now want to beat the piss out of Sac St? Also, how did Sac pount N. Az 38-7? I skimmed the box score, and didn't notice too much. I want to read some recaps and see what went on.

As for McNeese, I'd be o n SHSU's side if any. I like catching 17 points in what could be a lok ahead game, to Nichols St. next week. Nichols plays Steven F Austin, so that will be an easy win form them, with the conference champ most likely going to one or the other. Rhett Brohmar can sling it, and keep this game interesting.

Congrats on another solid weekend Hoops. That GA Southern game moved me to 5-0 for the year on 1AA gams, maybe I should just give up on FBS teams lol.

I havent done any research this week so I likely will not be on any 1AA games this weekend. BOL in whatever you play though

Adding a game for tonight...

Central Arkansas/Texas St. over 60 (2u)

Central Arkansas is in the reclassification process, moving up from D2, so their stats aren't ranked with the other 1-AA teams. However, if you look at their numbers, you'll see an offense that's averaging 438ypg, which would be good for 17th in the nation. On the other side of the ball, they're giving up 405ypg, which would place them around 93-95. Also, the Central Arky D only returned 2 starters from last year's squad, I know its mid-season now, but that's something to think about.

Texas St. comes into the game with the #107 ranked D, giving up 441ypg. On offense, they're putting up over 412ypg, good for #28.

This game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but it was moved to Thursday to be televised on the Regional FSN network. Both coached will want to show off their programs, and put the points on the score board.

Central Arkansas/Texas St. over 60 (2u)

Well, it's 42-14 Central Arkansas at the half.

Let's see if we can't get 1 more TD, and hit this double play.

Any thoughts on SCSU laying 21 vs Pace? Trying to keep you on your toes as that has to be the most obscure game of the season so far? Pace only scores about 10 per game so I would lean SCSU's way in this one, as Pace doesn't seem to have the guns to put up a fight against anyone with any type of offensive firepower whatsoever. Thoughts?

CB -

I'm not even going to attempt any of these D2 games. but from what I see, Pace just lost a close game to Bryant, which is ranked #25. With that said, it looks like SCSU does throw up some points on the board. the NCAA D2 statistics page isn't working, so without that, I'd have no idea.

OK CB, prepare yourself.....

Pace SCSU
Total O 143 10

Total D 26 128

These rankings are out of 144 teams. Pace gains a grand total of 128ypg. Stunning.

What makes Pace's D stats even more impressive, is the number of snaps they've seen. An O that can't do anything surely sees a lot of 3 and outs, giving the D that many more plays.

Central Arkansas/Texas St. over 60 (2u).. W 63-21 Final...

A great start to the week, as one team covers the over by their self. Glad I made it a double play. Hope you guys were able to get you some.

Great job on the total hoops, you are on fire, keep up the great work!

Nice job on the Pace stats too haha. Maybe I should just use my 5dimes free plays on your 1-AA games this week. Give me your top two and I might just do that instead of trying to find a ML dog or two to use the plays on.

great job on 1-AA, normally i have some insight on games, but this week i am just trying to get on track on regular 1-A. GL this weekend.

CB -

I don't see much of anything this week. Nothing is really jumping out at me, saying please investigate me. I haven't had time to look everything over, too much hunting and fishing. I'm going to look at a few more things, and see if I find anything hidden, but I wouldn't be surprised if I don't make any more plays this week.

However, if 5Dimes gets some balls again, and decides to put up some more totals, I may jump on those, especially the PC/VMI game, I'll play it up to 75, maybe even 80. PC's offense is nasty, and they use orange cones for D. VMI's D isn't much more.

Adding....

The Citadel -???.......

I will be making a play on the Citadel tomorrow. I see a little too much love going to the Paladins of Furman. I have a pretty strong feeling that the line will move in my favor tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye on things, and see where it goes.

The Citadel has a high power offense, with a mobile QB, that also throws well. Furman almost lost to my alma mater, Coastal, last week, which isn't saying too much about them. Coastal was up 14-10 in the 3rd, when they got a very unfavorable spot on 3rd down, and were stuffed on 4th, on about the 25. Furman, took the ball down the field, scored, and then proceeded to benefit from about 300 Coastal turnovers after that, or at least that's what it sounded like while I was listening on the radio.

Look at their QB play last week....

<table class="noborder"><tbody><tr><th>#</th><th>Player</th><th>Att</th><th>Comp</th><th>Int</th><th>Yards</th><th>TD</th><th>Conv</th><th>Passing
Efficiency</th> </tr> <tr> <td>9</td><td>Jordan Sorrells</td><td align="right">4</td><td align="right">2</td><td align="right">1</td><td align="right">14</td><td align="right">0</td><td align="right"> </td><td align="right">29.4</td> </tr> <tr> <td>14</td><td>Renaldo Gray</td><td align="right">12</td><td align="right">6</td><td align="right">1</td><td align="right">29</td><td align="right">1</td><td align="right"> </td><td align="right">81.1</td></tr></tbody></table>
Those are some staggering #'s.

If The Citadel jumps out to a sizable lead, there is no way they will be able to get back into it. Lets not forget their D ranks #12 overall, despite playing 1-A Wisconsin. The Citadel has last week's loss fresh on their mind, and will come out an make a statement.

Hopefully it'll get under a TD, if not, I'll lay the 8. Just stay away from this 'till closer to game time MOFO's, and we'll get the line we want.

You're on fire dude, nice job!

It's too bad the limits are so low on D-1AA games because you could making a killing with higher limits.

Very nice work.

Well CB, I'm giving in....

Adding...

Montana -9.5

I suppose I'll have to hit this one now, before all the regular people of the World wake up, and say "What the Fuck" to themselves. I just don't get this line. Montana has been playing some lack luster ball early on, with 2 close wins in a row. Is that why this line is so low? Because they expect them that after winning 2 close ones, there will be nothing left in the tank for their first road game? I don't know.

I just don't see how a team that ranks #107 on Offense, and #92 on D is catching less than 2 TD's here.

Whoop that ass Grizzlies.

I don't think I'll get the point I want, so it'll be The Citadel -8.

Recap for Saturday's games.

The Citadel -8
William & Mary pk
Montana -9.5

Let's see if this is the weekend I decide to come back down to earth.

Week 7 recap....

Thursday...... 2-0
Saturday...... 2-1
Year To Date.. 19-5-1

I was very fortunate today to have another winning one. It did take a INT return late in the 4th for Montana to cover, but I'll take what I can get. Also, the W&M game was much closer than I'd like.

Central Arkansas/Texas St. over 60 (2u).. W 63-21... Never in doubt.

William & Mary pk - W 21-20 ... Maine's D held its own, but it will be hard for them to win kicking a bunch of field goals every game.

Montana -9.5 - W 17-3... I was fortunate to win this one. Montana gained next to no yards, 173 to be exact, to Sac St.'s 344. Both teams couldn't hold onto the ball, with Montana turning the ball over 4 times, only to get it back 6 times from Sac. This team will be showing up on my play against list from now on.

The Citadel -8 - L 54-51 OT... The Citadel out gained Furman 641-451 in total yards and won the TOP battle 37-22 min, but Furman used a kick return and a 71 yard pass for some quick scores, and also capitalized on both Citadel turnovers.

solid plays again, good job hoopstar. Hoopstar, by chance do you know if any casinos in vegas take 1-aa lines? thanks in advance.
