Week 6 - What We Saw And / Or Learning

I'll start, what the hell, been a long day with the Horns.

- Name me a tougher dude than Rocco Becht. Most would be on a stretcher. He was back 2 plays later. Any one of us would have been getting next-of-kin notification.

-Sherrone Moore gets an honorary CTG membership for the most comedic line chase in coaching history. Up 14 with < a minute left going hurry up on his opponent's 20 was both fascinating and jaw dropping. Alas, didn't get the cover.

- i saw not 2 but 3 guys spike the ball in the end zone today after scoring. 15 yard penalty. Guess that's the norm now.

- Resilent effort by Alabama today. Very.

- I didn't understand Belichick going to North Carolina. Today doesn't change that.

- Tech is a nasty team. Wasn't that long ago that it would give up 45 / game. Not any more. Want to rate the best NIL capitlization this seaon? Start in Lubbock of all places.

- How bad must Boston College be....

- I lose no sleep over Peanut Head going down to UCLA. There's bad losses. And then there's that.

- Bear Bachmeier is probably my favorite player right now despite wearing 47 as a QB. True freshman. Sees and reads the field so well. Accurate, threat to run and tough as nails. A fan, big time.

- Texas? Really disappointing to hear our fans today upon losing to Florida. Expecations continue to be out of whack. I mean, hell, we left it all on the field against Sam Houston two weeks ago. Hard to turn around after that.

Sarkisian has a lot of holes right now - a QB who is mediocre, no RBs, an offensive line that is soft as shit and a defense, while talented, that isn't well coached. Today you saw one team that was hell bent on winning. There was another that showed up expecting to do so. Connect the dots. Texas doesn't play with any sort of urgency or chip on its shoulder and that shIt wreaks of a team still enamored with press clippings and full of entitlement. Your end result is likely a 5 or 6 loss team.

Lay the points in Dallas with OU.

Late in the 3rd quarter someone reminded Maryland, "It's October you're supposed to lose."

I knew Franklin was sulky after a tough loss but wow.

Really surprised and impressed by Virginia avoiding the hangover last week. They won as 6.5 underdogs at Louisville in a second straight upset thriller. They sure know how to win close games! This is a tough team — just look at the shot that Chandler Morris took while running for the end zone in OT. I‘m seeing a strong team culture and solid coaching.

This dude owned Jim Knowles.

*Virginia- Gutty win
*Pitt- Where the hell did that come from?
*Navy- Throw out the records everytime in the service academy games. The public got crushed laying the points with Navy.
*UNLV- Still undefeated. Huge win in the snow in Laradise
*Maryland- Almost was ready to give Locksley a compliment. Thank goodness I don't have to. Nice tank job.
*Florida- I like to make fun of Sun Belt Billy. But this team is still dangerous and gonna be no easy out the rest of the season.

You mean this guy owned Jim Knowles, the same guy who looks like he's crowd surfing at a Backstreet Boys show?

More on UCLA....

At BetMGM, 90% of the money wagered on the odds to win the game straight-up was on Penn State. Potentially, the most painful bet on the Nittany Lions, though, was reported by Hard Rock Bet, where a bettor risked $250,000 on Penn State on the money line. The wager would have paid a net $7,500, according to a company spokesperson.
