UVA has treated me very very well so far this year but I think there has been an overreaction to the Akron game as well as UVA hasn't been favored in a conference game in a while. I hate going against the Hoos after how well they've treated me but getting this value seemed too good to pass up for me
 
Also I think taking the points in the ACC Coastal, SEC East (sans vandy) and Big 10 West (if that's the one NW, Wisky, PSU, etc are in) would prove very profitable over the course of the season
 
Someone I respect a lot had it at Virginia -16.5, which he knew was never going to be a real number, but that's what his program spit out. I think I saw someone else who had it at 12. I thought a fair line here was 4.5, but what do I know. I think is opened at 2, but I don't have access to the real openers. Virginia could easilly be 5-0, with wins over BYU and UCLA (not to mention UL). Pitt losing the last two weeks, particualrly the Arkon loss, really sets up poorly for the Hoos, who really need this if they are to have any shot at going to a crappy bowl in some godforsaken hellhole. I really just wanted to be sure I wasn't buying a new bow-tie and driving five hours just to see us lose. Frankly, because the game kicks at 7:30, there's a decent chance I won't even know if we've won or lost come Sunday morning. I miss seeing the Tiger High fans in Charlottesville every other year. They were easilly my favorite group of visitors. My first game as a student was a 55-0 nail-biter against Danny Ford and the boys. Don't remember much of that one either, except that it rained, and William Perry ran down our QB from behind with his stomach practically dragging on the ground.
 
I don't disagree, I think the line is about 3 points too high, I'm just seeing a very different football team out on the field in terms of execution and aggressiveness. The talent has been there the last 2 seasons, but a preponderance of boneheaded plays mixed in with some questionably conservative play calling prevented people from seeing just how many good players the team has had. I'm not totally sure what happened in the offseason, but these issues, while not totally gone (conservative play calling, particularly against UCLA and in the 2h again at BYU, remains an issue) have been dramatically reduced. I'm chalking it up to the coaching staff gelling after a lot of changes prior to 2013, but who knows.

We'll see on Saturday night, I think Pitt is a middle of the road team and if we can't beat a team like them on our field we aren't going bowling this season.

Brass...yeah that was a major horseshoe game for FIU. We, as gamblers, tend to complain about our bad beats but I'll chalk that one up as a great beat easy win. Coulda gone either way but it was a great beat to make it that easy
