Look at Chris Jones effort on that play.
I love Jones. That was super uncharacteristic but pathetic nonetheless from the leader on D

The 5 yard penalties on the defense that are automatic first downs are hilarious especially when it’s 3rd and 15imagine if PI was "at the point of the foul" in college?
the whole game would be slinging downfield, especially vs aubbie.
I saw it. On the one hand one could say he just stood as Lawrence got up and galloped into the end zone. On the other hand, it was his initial push that made the guard back up a step onto Lawrence's foot, causing him to go down. As Lawrence was stumbling back the tackle came over and helped the guard block Jones, at which point Jones pulled back and was in the center of the field on the two as the guard reset himself to block him.Look at Chris Jones effort on that play.
It’s an oversight. It’s like Randy Moss taking a play off, just happened on a weird TD and the other guys really just fucked up.I saw it. Lawrence got up and pivoted left, and was on the left hash as he started to run. The hash marks are 18 feet apart, so Lawrence basically had a three-step edge to the corner on Jones. There is no way his big ass was going to run down a guy with legs like Lawrence. The dude can run. Lawrence made a great play by a) going left when the Chiefs had overloaded their rush to the right, and b) breaking the tackle attempt by Tillery, who, unlike Jones was just a half step to the right of Lawrence as he took off. If Tillery wasn't making that tackle nobody else was really in position to stop Lawrence.
I see Jones got crushed on X. To me that's a combination of the social cesspool culture and general hate on the Chiefs. I doubt he cares.
I've known this since the day he was hired but yes Aaron Glenn is the worst coach in the history of organized sports.
Mangini: not a great coach but he was essentially the GM who set Rex Ryan up with a contending team.Kotite

Rank please in your opinion. This is a tough one
He never touched him, what are you talking about? How did a Jags wide receiver get decked ok the INT? Obvious DPI. Led to a short touchdown drive for KC.
Your Pet peeve is well taken as is your kickoff rules vs modern kickers.IMO no dominant teams this year - not even close. Philly, Buff, KC all look vulnerable. Balt a disaster. I thought GB was the one but Dallas went through their defense like a knife through hot butter with $48M man Micah complete non-factor. Right now i think Detroit is the best team but both their starting CBs are hurt so who knows. Injuries devastating a lot of teams. Anyone could sneak in this year. Denver? Though Nix hasn't been good.
Dallas offense might be best in NFL.
NFL refs are the worst in pro sports and that's saying something because NBA and MLB suck too. Why teams dont throw long or to endzone as much as possible is beyond me - 50/50 you'll get PI flag, especially if you throw it short and WR comes back for it. CB play awful too - my lord is there a CB who can cover without PI anymore.
How did refs have Defensive Holding on KC on that last Lawrence TD run - he fell immediately and then fell again and then started runnng - doesn't that make him a runner? Even if they had tackled him it would have been 1D at 1 yard line. Of course refs missed that blatant PI on KC on that one pick that led to KC TD.
At first I liked the new kickoff rules but not any more. Teams starting on the 40 much of the time is a tad too much for me. Too easy especially if all you need is a FG - these guys are hitting 60 yd with regularity now - Dallas kicker will kick 70 yd this season I think.
Pet peeve as much in college. Its end of game and all the team with ball needs is a FD or two to win game - and defense is still playing 2 deep safeties 15 yards off LOS. Team runs ball, gets 1D, game over - but I guess they didn't get another TD. So moronic. You have to take the risk and push up to LOS to stop run - game is over anyway.
Sarcasm or did you not see number 11 on Jax?He never touched him, what are you talking about?

Some corrections due to typosCan't really tell what the Eagles identity is. 18 attempts by Barkley in last two gms... all season they have struggled to run.. not sure if it has to do with passing to please Brown etc or this is the game plan based on weakness they see on opposing teams film breakdowns. Just haven't seen such a dominant rushing attack stop call rushing plays yr after superbowl and bringing majority of the returning cast back
Almost wonder if they are seeing if they can win differently. I know that sounds wild, but I bet if they were at home in January they would be playing these games differently from an offensive perspectiveCan't really tell what the Eagles identity is. 18 attempts by Barkley in last two gms... all season they have struggled to run.. not sure if it has to do with passing to please Brown etc or this is the fmgamr plan based on weakness they see on opposing teams film breakdowns. Harbaugh made a big mistake with that DC hire and if he's stubborn about it and keeps him it will cost him his job. Of course he is one of the very few non offensive head coaches that I would be willing to bring in to replace the current idiot.
That defense is not going to be good unless they replace the coordinator immediately and Harbaugh doesn't want to do it.Baltimore will be fine if they are healthy
