UGA was able to outathlete Arky in the 2nd half. Not sure that will happen vs Auburn. That defense was nasty though. But their oline was a mess as was Mathis. Under?

Defense definitely played well...

Who's gonna QB?

That OL...ugggh

Don't know if I have the stones to play it, but the La Tech/BYU line is high, IMO.

I actually looked at that one as I think La Tech should be able to put up enough points to make it interesting, but I could also see it ending up something like 49-24 so I decided to pass.

I was disappointed to not be able to play BYU. Although if I can watch it I will. If they continue to dominate I will continue to feast on the live plays that are offered. Gonna take a serious DL to slow them down. They are dominant.

Klieman is so good. KState lost a bunch and already they have stepped up. Its amazing actually. Kstste or nothing

I'm looking to fade kansas state but I think that coach is just so good and not sure I can trust tech. They appear to have real issues on the offensive line running the ball this year. Oklahoma did not look good either

The coach and the qb of the red raiders scare me if I'm Kstate. Exactly right about OL issues, maybe a stay away

The BYU -24 is interesting. The power rating difference is 17.5 prior to home field. I think BYU is the type of team that manhandled LA Tech types. New qb, poor defense, 2-0 beating a down southern miss and houston Baptist. I'm going to bet it, but I feel like betting it for more

BYU seems to be diligently trying to prove a point. They are legit and striving to be a wildcard in the BCS.

It's a weird year and I think for no particular reason that A&M wins and I'm taking the points

I guess we will see how powerful bama O really is verse a good d

I’m so torn on the pitt game. I think I like the over despite pitt obvious strength being defense. My concern is 2 fold, how much if any can ncst score? And will pitt offense be more efficient vs what I think the worst d they have seen (in acc play)?

The second question 1st, I do think pitt is gonna hang a pretty big number here cause I believe they gonna run a bunch of plays in this game and if you run a bunch of plays vsWolfpack I don’t think you can help but score!! I gotta believe as long as pitt doesn’t turn it over in scoring range and finishes drives they get well into the 30s here.

that leaves the tougher question for the over, how much can ncst score? How much we need them to? my thinking is if they can muster 17 this goes over for sure, 14 and it have a pretty good chance. of course if we don’t think they can score 17 then the question becomes is laying it with Pitt the better bet?? I’m just not real confident in a number on ncst but they have been trying to go fast so I think if they don’t score it could lead to Pitt scoring even more. Even tho I’m not 100% on what Wolfpack offense will do 46 is just so low for a game I think has a lot of plays run in it.

Anyone like tcu? How do you lay dd w texas and that d?

what you just said the reason I stayed far away from that one. When I saw that open at 13 I was like “who the fuck gonna play Texas?” I can’t make any case for Texas and there a ton of very good ones for tcu. Maybe silly of me but tcu just had the popular dog uk feel to me. I hate those.

I hear ya I do too, I think texas puts up points but not sure they stop tcu although I wish Duggar was at qb

smu is a popular dog pick! Well now it’s even, but they were +2.5 yesterday lol

they seem to have gotten more popular during the week. Early on seemed like more were on Memphis, I’m not thrilled about that either but like I said I just think there a huge competitive advantage here with what I think 2 fairly even teams, Memphis not playing since the 1st weekend of sept can’t be good for them here. In a game we prob see 100 points I rather have the team that been tackling ppl all month.

Not sure if it's been talked about, I have been away much of the week and just trying to catch up now.

Examining the line move in the Navy-AF game as the Falcons have some unexpected losses on their team including all the returning starters on D and their QB that were not revealed until the depth chart came out this week.

Air Force's season-opening depth chart, roster show missing pieces from turnbacks

Air Force’s season-opening depth chart reveals deep losses to the roster as the team was granted around 40 administrative turnbacks.

The team’s roster and depth chart were released Monday, shortly after The Gazette published a copy it had obtained.

The quarterback position apparently remains open, with sophomore Haaziq Daniels and junior Warren Bryan listed with an "-or-" on the chart. The defensive side, as earlier reported by The Gazette, shows the most hits as none of the five eligible returning starters are back and four freshmen appear on the two-deep list.

“Took a semester off" said a communication from one player provided to The Gazette in discussing the attempt to gain an extra year of eligibility through the use of a turnback — a broadly worded policy that allows cadets to separate from the academy in instances of hardships but can also be interpreted to include things like a church mission or travel opportunities. That missed time is then tacked onto the end of a cadet's time at the academy.

Football players away on turnbacks will not be able to return this semester, despite the reversal from the Mountain West last week that now has Air Force looking at a nine-game season this fall. In August, football had largely been delayed until spring because of COVID-19 (with the exception of the Navy and Army games, which remain on the schedule).

Air Force has offered no comments on turnbacks nor made any football coaches or players available to media throughout the preseason. Two team-selected players and coach Troy Calhoun will conduct interviews Tuesday in the first media session of the season and only one until after the game against Navy. The Midshipmen, on the other hand, provided players and coaches each day during the preseason and have offered Zoom-based sessions with nine players, eight assistants and three opportunities with coach Ken Niumatalolo in the leadup to the game against the Falcons.

The Falcons will enter the game without a returning starter on defense, as the five returnees are not on the roster or depth chart. It's a group that includes cornerback Milton Bugg III, defensive lineman Christopher Herrera, defensive end Jordan Jackson, linebacker Demonte Meeks and outside linebacker Lakota Wills. The other regular defensive starters from the team that went 11-2 in 2019 graduated.

Some experience remains. Outside linebacker Grant Donaldson, defensive MVP of the 2019 Cheez-It Bowl, returns. Outside linebacker Parker Noren, defensive end Michael Purcell and defensive tackle Kaleb Nunez have started games in their careers. Safety Corvan Taylor worked with the starting defense throughout spring practice. Linebacker Noah Bush and cornerback David Eure, both juniors, were three-star recruits who have played on special teams.

The other spots on defense are filled with upperclassmen, with seniors Joey Woodring (nose guard), Will Trawick (linebacker) and Elisha Palm (cornerback) joining junior safety Ethan Erickson (among the team’s older players after taking a two-year church mission) among the group penciled in to start.

"They’re very similar to us, and so you have your JV team, your prep school, the guys kind of grow up in your program," Niumatalolo said Monday. "It’s not like you get junior college guys who are in there for the first time.

"We expect them to be a good team, we just don’t know who they are."

Depth charts from Air Force, however, are generally mere suggestions. Calhoun has released depth charts in recent years that showed Nate Romine as his starting quarterback after Romine suffered a season-ending knee injury and that included Garrett Kauppila as a starting safety after a broken collarbone truncated his year.

Most of the offensive depth chart seems secure, though. The offensive line — Parker Ferguson (left tackle), Nolan Laufenberg (left guard), Nicholas Noyen (center), Kyle Krepsz (right guard) and Adam Jewell (right tackle) — remains as it would have projected under normal circumstances. Standouts in tailback Kadin Remsberg and fullback Timothy Jackson occupy the backfield. Slot receivers Ben Peterson and Brandon Lewis and tight end Kyle Patterson are all in the spots they expected to hold.

Daniels and Bryan share the quarterback spot as returning starter Donald Hammond III is currently unavailable because of a loss of good standing as a cadet.

A review of the roster shows that of the 60 non-seniors listed on the 2019 roster, only 28 are on the initial 2020 list. That does not mean all 32 missing have taken turnbacks. Some players could have left the academy or opted not to play football. The rosters themselves also paint an incomplete picture. Air Force regularly lists far fewer players on its rosters than are actually on the team. Last year’s roster, for example, listed just one freshman and 23 sophomores but 36 juniors and 31 seniors when in reality the younger classes generally have the largest numbers. The team provides “joiner” rosters before each game that list players not listed on the roster but who might play.

By contrast, Army’s roster currently lists 170 players. Navy’s is at 150 players. Air Force listed 91 players on its final 2019 roster and has 69 on the 2020 list.

Is any dog more popular than Auburn? Seen a lot of chatter here and across the street about them, many of the touts giving them out and the line is going up in a primetime game...I can’t help myself but bet Georgia

i jumped all over the under minute I saw it this week. Just don’t see how the hell it takes more than 20 to win that game? Which obviously kinda makes the points attractive but I don’t have any opinion on the side. Far as I care Uga wins 21-0 :)

Wku-7 one I like I’m sure getting no attention. I think they a solid team who just ran into some good teams to start their season. Pretty sure mtsu is just really bad despite covering vs another crappy team last week. I do not think Asher o hara gonna have much success vs wku defense.

They being UGA.

if they get pressure on Nix auburn be in real trouble. His numbers last week when under pressure were really bad. Uk gave that game away with all the turnovers. I think you right ppl overreacting over both teams games last week. Most of them prob lost on uk and Uga now gonna do it again, lol.

Agree, it won’t be pretty. 24-13...21-10..Feels like the books are more than comfortable eating all the Auburn at 7; think they win by DD.

you appear to be right on all the love, in the contest I play in auburn is by far the most heavily picked dog of the day in shear amount of ppl who taking them and how high the percentage is with very few on Uga. Tcu is second but they only being picked around 65% with less volume than auburn up around 80%!!!

I love these spots..I’ve already started building my position..if my boys 2 buddies both come in with Auburn, fuuhhgetttabbouudditt.

Think I’m gonna put a little on Uga even tho I hate playing side and total. This just screams overreaction, I didn’t even think aub was all that much better than uk last week and the Uga/ark game means nothing to me.

Was just chatting with my nephew, recent grad of UGA and possessor of solid instinct, and I was like made a bet on jojah and he was like, smart man, dawgs roll!

Going to bet it again.

If JT is allowed to do his thing. HWG!
