Week 4 What Are We Learning

Need to do a better job of maintaining confidence in teams and players after they shit the bed. A new week is often just that: a new week.

Jason Myers and Jags defense are two good examples.

Despite them screwing me week 3 with all the red zone turnovers Washington is still a great over team! I like Howell, Bienemy is proving to be a guy who deserved more respect in kc, they have nice weapons, and imo the secondary still stinks! Long as you can block their front 4 your qb should pick this team apart! Of course a lot of teams might struggle blocking that front now that they getting healthy. Don’t sleep on these guys! They will take apart the bears next week, they will kick falcons ass In 2 weeks as they will limit their run game and they will eat Ridder alive! They will win at Nyg as they don’t have the wrs to expose the secondary, they be 5-2 then get a rematch w Philly!

Zac Wilson has moments of brilliance… and then many moments of drunk backyard Uncle Rico decisions….

What really baffled me tonight, he threw some dimes down the field to other guys but the times he had Garrett Wilson 15+ down field open he missed him by a country mile!

So the saints with a washed up drew Brees basically owned Brady’s buc’s. But faker mayfiekd took them apart?? I laughed at the idea falcons could challenge saints for this division cause I believe you have to have a nfl qb to win games, Desmond Ridder is barely worthy of holding a clipboard! I didn’t really consider the Bucs could challenge the saints. Maybe cause my hatred of Faker, I might have said taking him 1st was a horrible idea, I might think he a bigger douche bag than you want leading a team, but he at least has the ability of a nfl starter. I thought bucs offense would look a lot more like it did vs Philly, didn’t think he could take saints d apart, hats off to him. I didn’t see a play, I’m assuming Carr wasn’t close to healthy? No clue how Olave goes a entire game w 1 catch? No idea what the idea behind throwing kumara 13 passes for 33 yards?!! 10 yards on one of them, so 12 catches for 23 yards?!!? Someone has to explain that to me, wtf were they doing? Carr hurt? If he that hurt he should have sat!

Joshua Dobbs is proving to be very valuable and what is needed this season for the Cards to develop the young guys. Helps that he's familiar with the OC and GM to get this shot, will likely prove to be a quality backup at worst in the NFL for several years to come. Long way to go before the future is decided with Kyler or how to move forward without him. Texans are trying to really screw up that first round pick the Cards own, that's for sure.

They should move on with him. Fuck Kyler’s immature fragile ass.

Yep. Falcons are my son’s team. He was happy with the start of their season. But Ridder needs work

Ridder is lost right now. But the line is a disaster. Kid has no confidence right now. The Lions bludgeoned him and now he has happy feet and has no idea where do go with the ball.

Falcons wasted the #4 pick with Pitts and #8 with Drake and now probably wasted a #1 on Bijan. Bad organizations waste #1 picks and continue to draft in the top 10 every year. Certainly thats what the Falcons are.

Also Matt Canada should've coached his last game in the NFL. That was a disgrace yesterday.

I recall at least 3 teams in the shotgun formation for 4th and short yesterday (Mia, Pit and Lac) and it failed all three times. When will this madness stop??

This drives me crazy , this BS has cost the BILLS 4 huge games over the last 4 seasons

I saw multiple teams try and fail with the "Brotherly Shove" play, specifically New England and the Chargers both were stuffed. You'd better make sure your big boys can get the push. Also saw a couple of teams do a reverse shove where the QB handed the ball off and then followed the RB to the hole to give a push. Josh Allen did it and I think Mahomes did it too.

It was pretty awful. I wonder what the Taysom props were? He came in at QB way more than usual.

I guess valiant on Carr to play, but this organization as whole is awful when it comes to the medical side. We can go back to coaches/players breaking in the med box for painkillers in the Payton days at the facility right up to the Jameis back injury last year to right what you saw yesterday(I’ll save the Pels for another day).Anyone ever play the next week with an AC sprain? Kinda wanted Jameis anyway regardless of his limitations. Starting against his former team in the Dome?
Come on.

The offensive line looks like absolute dogshit.
Mix that in with Carr that holds the ball too long anyway and it’s a disaster. Olave had the pouts yesterday. Never thought I’d see that.
The Saints D is really good but they definitely played dejected yesterday. D Line was poor, didn’t expect that. That interception then fumble the next play at the end of the half was a killer.

I can’t believe Matt Canada has a job. I’ve lived it myself

Cowboys were 0-3 in the red zone until the last drive when they converted with backups in the game. Can't say they've fixed their red zone problems yet.

Patriots inability to run the ball against a team that was gashed on the ground last week is a problem. You can blame Mac Jones all you want but he doesn't have an alpha WR to help.

Thought the Pack would show better on their home field in a big divisional game getting a couple of key guys back. Lions are definitely one to reckon with.

As are the Bills. Miami still had over 400 yards but the Bills took away Tyreek and that left Miami a little disjointed. I like how Miami puts Hill in motion just before the snap to getting him a running release. Imagine what Hill could do with CFL rules on motion? I don't know why Miami went for two when it was 31-20. Not sure why being down 9 would be better than down 10 in that spot.

How bad is Denver's D? For three quarters they let Fields look like a pro bowl pocket passer! I'd say coming back to win from 21 down in the 3rd would give the Broncos some momentum heading into next week but who are we kidding?

We know this about the Browns: they don't have a backup QB. They blew all that momentum from last week's great game. Imagine pining for Deshaun Watson to return, yet here we are.

Ravens offense was OK considering the Browns D is no joke, but they had two short fields mixed into their 4 TDs. Andrews finally looks healthy.

The Bengals, yikes. Borrow was only sacked once but appeared under duress quite a bit. Titans were not afraid of the deep ball which is a big problem for Cincy until Burrow is 100%. Nice effort overall from Tennessee and now that whole division is 2-2. Who'da thunk it? Good to see the King turn back the clock again and Hopkins was OK too.

Richardson is so much fun to watch. Definitely another Cam is the closest comparison IMO. Rams have been much better than expected. Both teams could be getting superstars back. I'd be wary of playing them next week.

Pretty clear that Carr shouldn't have played. 13 dump offs to Kamara net only 33 yards. Sheesh. Where is their coach while this is happening? Can't believer Jameis wouldn't have been better. One of several questionable lineup decisions made yesterday.

Raiders had another starting AOC over Hoyer. One of the general coaching tenets around the league is if you need a stop gap you play the veteran, if you have a longer timeline to fill you go with the youngster. I think the Raiders win that game if they start Hoyer. AOC could not read the field in the first half so he dumped everything off to the RBs. Then Adams must've bitched at him at half time because he gave him about a dozen targets in the 2nd half and threw to pretty much no one else. Hoyer would've spread the ball better and moved the offense better. The game was there for the taking (like all Chargers games are with Staley as coach) and the Raiders didn't want it.

The Chargers went surprisingly heavy with the ball control. 5 targets to fully healthy, full game of Keenan Allen last happened I think in 2019.

Thanks for the recap as I didn’t see anything other than Faker highlights making them look bad. Never thought I’d see a defense that often gave the GOAT problems get punked by Faker Mayfield! Didn’t they even lose evans during the game??? Crazy!!

I was kicking myself all day for my stupidity on this one, only thing I had wrote down for this game under (which of course cashed), while I was in casino parking lot making plays/getting ready to go in for cash bets I hear on radio that Carr gonna play and like some kind of prepubescent teen girl at a Justin Beiber concert I scratch the total and put saints into my ravens-2/Richardson rush yards parlay, all giddy and shit! Not once did it cross my mind how fucjing stupid it was to play him, how limited he would prob be, how I’m sure he didn’t get any reps this week facing a string defensive coach!! Not me, stupid me thinks “if they playing him despite having one the better backups in the league he must be totally fine!”, Lol. Whoops!

I don’t get it. I know we don’t think of NfL as a long season but in many ways it is. In the sense it was beyond retarded to send Carr out for that game if he wasn’t at least 90%! What the damn point of paying to have one the better backups in the league?? That really makes it dumb, I’d say even if your backup was terrible be better to let Carr get healthy and throw the game. With Jamis they shoulda still had a decent chance of winning, much more so than Carr checking it down 13x! I dunno if I’m more mad at them or myself for trusting them to only play Carr if he was actually ready to play! Lol

We gotta shout this to the moon.
Way better than I thought for sure

Yea. I think one my best attributes is I have no problem admitting I was wrong and making the adjustment, being stubborn or unwilling to admit it and move on a good way to go broke! I’m here to make money not to try proving how “right” I was! Shout out to this coaching staff also! I knew they were very sad to see Ryans leave San Fran and I can see why, he one the rare exceptions these days of being a great hire from the defensive side!! Also it appears the OC he brought with him learned a great deal in San Fran undsr shanny! They ran a lot of the same schemes they saw niners totally pick Steelers d apart in week 1! In general I just have very negative view of everything Texans but they look to have hit a home run with this staff and it certainly appears they are grooming Stroud into the best qb in this draft! (Well it could be a competition cause what the former eagle OC is doing with Richardson so fast is uncrddickg impressive!! ), I wasn’t big on young either as he was way to small for my taste but early results certainly point to him being 3rd among these 3, of course it no surprise he has arguably the worst coach of the 3! Texans could compete for this division with very smart coaches and stroud looking legit! (@KJ told me I should hold back my judgment of stroud after seeing him In second preseason game!!

He’s crazy inconsistent

I havnt liked him since day 1, he strikes me as a complete douche bag. The way he bought his lineman scooters or whatever it was and posted it onto his IG maybe before even giving them out came off as more total disingenuous douche, his answers, the look on his face, all scream “no real Mfers will ever follow you!” I did think him getting to be behind Rodgers for a year or 2 might be his saving grave as Rodgers has quite a bit of douche bag in him also, he might be the biggest douche who ever had some success leading a team so seemed like the perfect guy for Wilson to watch! lol. All those kinda jokes aside I really feel like this dog shit coaching staff the jets have are basically doing the total opposite for him as the good coaches in houston, Miami, Indy, are doing for their young qbs. Putting the douche-ness aside the way these clowns calling plays, punting on kc 40, etc etc etc, are giving him no chance to succeed, much like the retards in Chicago with fields! Some these kids I’m not sure if it really on them or they just got screwed into situations that give them no chance for success?

Only a select few all timers can overcome total organizational failure! As I been mentioning since preseason I fear even the great Joe Burrow was/is in danger of having his career be much less than it coulda been as he stuck on a terrible franchise with another one these ridiculously bad coaches who he has been able to overcome but has also probably given this clown job security he doesn’t deserve! Every year the chargers are everyone’s team on the rise but there no overcoming possibly the worst coach ever!

I will just make this about the Jets as I always do. That game last night mostly confirmed everything I knew. Zach has always been talented but the worst thing to happen to his career as it has been for every other QB this team has drafted in the last 30 plus seasons was being drafted by the Jets.

This team has now lost 9 out of 10 and I blame this inept coaching staff. Why was Zach allowed to actually air it out last night but not given any freedom against a New England team that they are actually better than. My guess is they just said what the hell we can't beat a team like Kansas City anyway so why not take some chances.

Who is to blame for the team coming out flat and falling behind 17-0 with the defense allowing a ton of big plays. Saleh is in over his head as is Hackett.

Settling for 51 yard field goal attempts or punting on 4th and 1 at or past midfield is a common trait for defensive coordinators turned head coach. This is consistently the worst run organization in the league and when Saleh is gone they better hire an offensive minded head coach for once though I doubt any coach can overcome being part of this team.

I should probably be satisfied that they were competitive against a better team but instead I find myself upset that this inept coaching staff continues to squander a playoff caliber roster.

We can’t even be sure it was anything they did last night, min as I say bout kc often, they work for the books. Go look at all their narrow victories vs the worst teams in league last 2-3 years.

Last time jets hired a HC from offensive side the ball it was that clown Peyton manning endorsed was a complete failure who had no ability to relate to players (forget his name but he was awful!! Lol). Adam Gase! That the one, he was awful!

I don't count Gase as a good offensive coach when all he did was be around a veteran Peyton Manning just as Hackett was lucky to have been a coordinator for an already established Rodgers. The next coach has to be someone who developed a QB not another clown who got lucky to be around an already established hall of famer.

The best thing for Bieniemy was leaving KC to coach Howell. He will rightfully get the credit if Sam continues to play well and will get a head job next season.

The Raiders and Chargers battled it out for the most idiotic head coach yesterday and while Staley tried his hardest to win the award McDaniels walked away with the prize yesterday.

Staley goes for it on 4th down on his own 35 yard line late in the game up by 7 and facing a rookie QB. The Raiders defense makes the stop.

The Raiders move the ball to first and goal. Instead of handing the ball off to Josh Jacobs, McDaniels allows the rookie to throw the ball......right to a Chargers defender for the pick.

Some of the dumbest shit week in and week out by these two clowns who both inexplicably have head coaching jobs.

Random thoughts from week 4

The Lions made a statement on Thursday night vs the Pack who have played a very weak schedule up till now.

Jags won a home game in London vs the Falcons who looked terrible. Ridder looks lost and more importantly Lawrence looks very average through 4 weeks.

The Rams have more life in them than I gave them credit for coming into the season. Puka and Kupp are going to be a hell of a tandem if Cooper ever comes back.

Washington is a good football team, very well coached. They will ruin some plans this year and they will cover some spreads. The Eagles are 4-0 and have not looked particularly good in my opinion. If they get their shit together they might be a very good team again.

Houston is pretty good. CJ appears to be the real deal. I will join the ranks of those already here that thought he would not be this good.

Miami walked into a buzzsaw in Buffalo. Both of those teams are very good and will be fine.

Something is very wrong in Cinci. Bad vibes all the way around and Joe B is not healthy at all. The wheels may just fall off all the way this season.

Dallas bounced back nicely. Its not easy to beat the Hoodie by 35 points.

Dont look now but Zach Wilson just had a very good game and then he went in front of the media and took all the blame for the loss due to the fumble. That my friends is leaps and bounds from the person he was last year. He may just develop into a NFL qb at some point after all. Then again, he plays for the Jets.

Man I just watched some highlights of Stroud throws and I don’t mind saying it again. I WAS SO SO WRONG ABOUT THIS KID!! His ball placement is freaking fantastic! He sees the field incredibly well for a rookie and the ball placement can’t be stressed enough! For some reason most the nfl jerks fall in love with assholes like Zach Wilson and Jamarcus Russell cannons when they should be looking for guys who decisive and can accurately deliver the ball!! That what the great qbs almost all have in common and why so many come from later rounds, or are the last pick in the draft! Obviously you have to have a good enough arm to make the throws but having the ability to throw a ball thru a brick wall or 70 yards on 1 knee doesn’t really translate into the things it takes to be a great nfl qb! I knew this but I had no clue Stroud had this kind of vision/understanding of defense/ anticipation! And I might have said this one, his ball placement is insanely good! Nothing makes a wr better than the ball actually being right where it should be and on time!!

Of course you have to credit the coaching staff but I don’t think Zach Wilson or many other the bust assholes would be playing this way In houston offense! I think Wilson could actually score some points with a competent play caller/coach but I dunno if he could actually lead a winning team and I suspect he would score some points for both his team and the opponent! lol.

What does this mean in grand scheme of things? Other than the fact I’ll never make a living as a talent evaluator, I much more suited to be a play caller/game plan designer anyways! Lmfao. Well it means this, the Jags better get their heads out their asses cause I sure feel like the afc south looks far more competitive than I thought it would be!! Oh and titans might be in thick of that race all year but going forward they better get a qb cause the way Richardson looks so soon despite having played so little college ball and him having a smart coach, the titans are gonna have the worst qb in the division for the next 10 years if they don’t suck it up and draft a real qb instead of all these long shot projects who can’t even push tannehill garbage ass!
