I see that Johnston is injured at QB for UAB. I don't think he is real good...just the potential drop off from a returning starter to a true Fr. I think that UAB - South Bama game sets up to be a pretty interesting one!
 
There is a game missing, Friday 9/25 - MTSU at UTSA. MTSU filling in Memphis' spot as the Tigers miss their second consecutive game.
 
Charlotte's QB I read was injured too. Chris Reynolds. He would've missed the UNC game, unsure of status for this week.
 
FAU favored vs USF with USF having two games under their belt. Willie Tagart's new team vs his old team (same for Jim Levitt). FAU's roster was kind of a mess last week wasn't it?
 
Hard not to like GT. One concern I have for them is the FSU win was no doubt emotional for them, now they are off another emotional game vs UCF. Not sure how I evaluate their level in the tank here. Syracuse is just bad...but Cuse D does fight.
 
Oh...Temple - Navy rescheduled #399/400 rotation. I did hear an interview with Carey after he saw the BYU-Navy game and how soft practices led to Navy getting run over and he was like "we need more time before we play a real game" - I took that to mean they had been soft footing it too.
 
Pitt favored vs LV? Perception of LV has sure dropped off a cliff. What would this line have been before the Miami game?

I think it's a great spot. I trust coach Collins to have these guys resilient.
 
I keep an eye on things, but it's just so tough to place a bet so early in the week this year
 
North Carolina State has two assistants on their staff that were at VT last year. FWIW CB Coach Brian Mitchell 26 years of coaching and was at VT 2016-19 coaching their DBs. DL Coach Charley Wiles was at VT 1996-2019. Bud Foster has only ever given away two lunch pails, the first he gave to former Hokie Daryl Tapp, in January he gave one to Wiles. 2019 Hokie D dedicated their Belk Bowl to Wiles.

Peeps on Syracuse. I'm guessing this line keeps dropping. Tre Swilling questionable and best runner Jordan Mason out. I like GT here as Syracuse looks below average. I'm wondering if Devito starts cuz that backup that came in probably could do some big things that Devito cant. The play is most likely the under.
 
So UAB didnt particularly look good at all against strong Miami team. Lost their qb. They turned ball over a bunch against c arky. S alabama opened to me with a short line. Played Tulane tuff, could have won, beat decent USM team and has a difference maker qb. As long as qb plays a alabama is way live to me. I like the points
 
Georgia state definitely looked good for 3 quarters at home vs Louisiana. They got a little scared to win but it was impressive. Charlotte situation has been shit show but they got Will Healey. I'm feeling them.
 
Something is going to keep me off Syracuse/ gt game. I sense strangeness in the dome. They have great special teams, prolly new qb starter and always kind of stay in game. I can see GT and undr looking good till the end when they dont anymore.

This is only the third time in school history that the Jackets have played in New York, and the first time in the Carrier Dome fwiw.
 
I think the Collins hire was a home run. The talent level has improved leaps and bounds, but it's really hard to me to lay points with GA Tech right now. Just seem a little accident prone at the moment to lay that number.

100% you know the situation well

I bet they play well here. I doubt loss gets them down .Its is a positive environment with team and only Simms 3rd start. Cuse is a bit desperate and angry tho

In addition, UNC and PITT are about as good as the ACC has outside Clemson

Thanks Squirrel. It makes me want to fade the move. NC ST defense looks weak, but VT backend looks sketchy too it seems

virginia is another one of those states you cant trust in their decision making as everything is political and I would not be surprised if VT is forced to be a victim with some contact tracing big brother nonsense, Fuentes knows what he is up against you can hear it in his tone.
 
Miami strikes me as possibly being the closest with the rivalry if things start out weird but agree they all look good. Might dabble if I win the Thursday games.

I got +9.5 on NC state so I was happy with the move ha. Not that I'm a huge NC state believer (I thought it should be around 7) but think they will hang around in games and am not very high on VT. Tough to get a sense of what the impacts are with coaches not disclosing anything and obviously a huge difference depending on what groups are out. There are gonna be some sharps with solid info networks that make a crapload of money this year.

tech sloppiness in the red zone scares me to death when thinking bout laying over a td. Im pretty sure they win, afraid the cover comes down to executing in red zone which I’m not real confident in. I like Simms but he makes mistakes when the field shrinks.

hate they havnt played yet. Kinda looking at the over, ncst offense went way way faster than I expected to see. with way wake scored all over them gotta think Hokies who qb I like substantially more than wake should score a lot. 1st game and new defensive cord I think could lead to NCst having some success with the uptempo stuff.
 
Someone gonna have to convince me to get away from ville cause I can’t seem to do it on my own! Lol. No secret I love Pitt d and front 7 in particular but I’m not convinced they gonna stop ville from scoring points. Despite watching ville get torched for one huge play after another everytime I thought they were gonna get into the Miami game I just can’t help but think they can’t possibly be that bad with totally busted coverages and terrible plays can they? I don’t exactly trust Pitt offense which why I didn’t lay it vs cuse.
 
Does cincy ever play option teams? I’m pretty confident that defense should be incredibly tough on army.
 
Bama gonna roll. I think Mizzou will be much better than most think but it sounds like the majority of their Covid issues come within o line, which was already the thinnest position. Breaking in a new qb with new system with no line vs Bama doesn’t sound good. Bama defense prob outscores miz offense or least sets up short fields
