why is that? I certainly don't think all war movies are good, but there are several that tell stories of heroism, etc. You think those are pathetic? Lone Survivor is a good example.

FWIW I was formerly in the service and we would watch all the usual "war/combat" movies while we were sitting around waiting...and we enjoyed them

But now that I'm out...sometimes I question the timing of the release and what the true message is of some the films...undoubtedly, there are some which were used for propaganda/increasing enrollment
