Game times are super-flexible if tens of thousands of fans haven't made travel plans. Clemson offered to play FSU on Sunday or Monday. They declined.

Dabo says it should be a forfeit:

Bama has to be double digits against anyone.
Was watching Fl Vs Vandy.....commentators were saying IF FL beats Alabama in SEC championship, Trask will win the Heisman.......

Bama TT over looks tasty.......
Also 1h line
F it......
Bama 1 Q
Bama 1 Q over
Bama 1H
Bama 1H over
Bama 1H TT over
These went 3-2 last week against Kentlucky....

For those of you eyeing Iowa State @ Texas....Texas will have not played in 3 weeks while ISU is on a short week. Latter obviously wasn't tested much by K State this past Saturday.

ISU is the better all-around and better coached team but the above could obviously play a significant part in things.

Let's see how bad the Gamecocks fuck this up on the coaching hire. Lots of talk of Monken which would be a total disaster. Lots of talk of Beamer which seems like an unnecessary coin flip. Napier or Chadwell would be my votes. Hope all you beautiful people here have been doing well!

Good to see you! Hope all is well!

I don't get the Beamer talk. Everyone else is debatable, Monken is a great coach and leader though...assumption would be he doesn't bring option football and hires an OC. I'm not supporting just saying some say if you get him you don't automatically get the option.

Monken is a decent coach but a terrible fit here. He would get lit up on the recruiting trail and I do not think that option football has a place at SC for the most part. And the talks of Monken not playing the only style of football he has ever coached seems also pretty farfetched/silly to entertain. Beamer could work out but again thats flipping a coin where we do not need to and are in no position to. Ray Tanner/Caslen are not football guys and do not know what they are doing. Ray is the same AD that convinced Spurrier to come back for a season (that he left in the middle of) and is also who settled on Muschamp after Jimmy Sexton had his way.

At this point up-tempo O is the only thing that can save SC. I said it prior to muschamp hire and then we got champ with kurt roper lol but SC needs to be a special consideration on O. We can not play GA style football with smaller players that will result always in a shitstomping.

I favor Chadwell, but there are some other good candidates.

By the way -- 111 years in a row. We both have an open date on December 12. The game should be played this year, as always.

I agree, especially considering that the "conference" restriction seems rather silly for two schools in the same state. I was personally against CFB taking place amidst covid but if they are going to play it that restriction seems a bit silly to me. I understand that restriction to not have large amounts of people forced to air travel on short schedules but for a game you would bus to anyways seems pretty arbitrary.

I agree about Chadwell. He has done wonders at Coastal and would be a perfect fit for the school.

It wasn't just the distance; the SEC also wanted to have a closed loop (the conference) where everyone's opponents have the same protocols.* Theoretically, USC could have had another SEC game (SECCG) after 12/12, but we now know they won't.

*It's different in the ACC, where apparently FSU has its own secret protocols.

Got N Dame -3x and bet it as fast as i could get my money out

Oklahoma was -10 at the same time, but already was -11 by the time I got my N Dame bet down. Probably won't bet it, but if I do it will be Oklahoma. W Virginia has never beaten Oklahoma, but I suppose if weather is bad or something they might stay within 11.

There should be some easy money on that Iowa St/Texas game, but I have no idea how to bet it. Still looking

Seemed like all cross conference shit was frowned upon

Some rather suspicious lines in CUSA this week.

LaTech-3.5 at FIU. FIU is among the very worst teams in football, in a league that has a lot of really bad teams to choose from. LaTech hasn't played in 4 weeks, but still, surely they can beat these bums by 4 points or more? Really fishy line.

Rice -11.5 vs UTEP. Rice as a DD fav? Rice is just 1-2 this year and except for two games vs Prairie View, you have to go back to 2015 to find a DD fav role for Rice, -11 vs Charlotte - Owls won 27-7, that was just Charlotte's 3rd ever season playing football and their first vs FBS competition (49ers went winless vs FBS that season). So seeing Rice as a DD favorite is quite odd. Especially since 2015 Rice is just as likely to win SU as favorite as they are to lose SU as a favorite (vs FBS 4-7 SU as a favorite). I thought UTEP was better this year...then 52-21 at UTSA happened. Rice DD fav vs UTEP, really, like UTEP and Rice feel pretty equal this year. What am I missing?

Throw in another suspicious CUSA line in a game that apparently will get played on Tuesday now.

Charlotte at home favored by just 1 vs WKU? Now tables have turned, I ML's Charlotte last year when they lost by 16 vs a good 2019 WKU team. 2020 WKU team is just next to awful and Charlotte has DD wins vs NTex and UTEP while expecting WKU to even score DD can sometimes be risky. This line stinks to high heaven, right? I'm a sucker, sign me up. Fuckin -1....should I just mark my bet a loss now or what? How can this line be -1?

Rice -11.5 vs UTEP. Rice as a DD fav?

Good point.

Rice is the mystery team this year. You may recall that Stanford Steve and Bear both picked Rice the first two weeks of the season, including laying points in the first game. Why Rice was a favorite at all is part of the mystery since there was no logical reason. And why public handicappers were suddenly in love with them when they have been bottom feeders for years and hadn't played a game this year was another part.

They both lost twice with Rice and quit picking them, but now, for no logical reason, Rice is favored again.

Yeah...I remember Rice being everyone's darling going into their first game of the year late October. Had that quadruple doink FG gone in they do win that game vs MTSU, but still that line got bet up to 4.5, closed anywhere from 3.5/4 I see and would've only won by 3, instead they lost straight up. MTSU outgained them and MTSU had a better ypp, so not like it was all that fluky Raiders won that one (minus the doinks on the FG).

Then Rice was part of that 3-week Southern Miss fade train...I mean even North Alabama played almost good enough to beat Southern Miss in that stretch, so the fact Rice beat them handily is nice and all, but that was SMiss at their lowest of the low points.

Then they come back this week and after scoring the first 10 points of the game vs North Texas, they only score 7 the rest of the game...vs North Texas, as in the North Texas who allows everyone and their brother to score 30+.

I was just looking back on UTEP's loss at UTSA which was the Miner's last game. First off, UTEP went into that game down 2 of their top 4 CBs and then lost their top CB Lowe in the 2nd Q for throwing a punch. That forced a true frosh who had a total of 2 ever practices with varsity onto the field full time. It didn't go well. UTEP was in the game entire 1st H...but aside from the CB issues, the UTEP O went away completely in the 2nd H. I feel like UTSA does have some dudes on D, I thought highly enough of them to think they could stop Army a few weeks back...didn't work out so well for me, but they do have those dudes that can make plays vs some pretty average offenses, which UTEP falls into the pretty average O category even though they are improved this year.

So I'm like, well, the line seems whack, do I really want to bet UTEP? And I probably do. It sounds like they will be getting the 2 CBs back plus Lowe will return. And I like teams off embarrassing losses assuming they have something to play for. UTEP can get to 4-4, which UTEP playing .500 ball in November is something, quotes in the paper tells me they don't lack of confidence from how they were playing eariler this year. The cancellations and postponements have been rough on them. They've played just 3 games over an 8 week stretch and 5 straight road games with no hope of playing in front of Sun Bowl home fans anytime soon.

Probably worry more about UTEP O. Both Rice and UTEP love to run ball control clock time of possession type football which is reflected in the total. I don't think I would go as far to ML UTEP, but I think they have enough pieces to stay in this game like they did their two prior CUSA games before UTSA, where UTEP covered as DD dogs at LaTech (only lost by 4) and at Charlotte (backdoor).

ND actually opened at 3 and I was surprised honestly to see it that low as I thought it would be around 6. I took over 65 as I figured that was the best play in the end.

Same here. I was sure it would open at at least 7.

I like your idea of the over too. Unless there is weather or covid or some outside influence I can see a lot of points in this one.

Looks like any rain here in the Carolinas will clear out by Thursday evening as all the local forecasts across the region are calling for 70s and sunny, so should be a beautiful day for football in Chapel Hill.

Just found out N Dame lost their starting center. I don't like that.

To me the center is the second most important guy to lose. Still like my bet overall, just not as much as I did

Does anyone know how teams do the week after being shut out? Wondering if there is a trend that could be playable on Kansas State? But man...9 first downs...

Another starting OL, RG Kraemer is out with appendectomy surgery as well.

I wonder if FSU will cancel this week the morning of the game cuz an asymptomatic dude with a fake test, walked by another dude, so for safety, they shut it down

Seems normal, not scared

Down 2 OL at ND will hopefully help us get some pressure this week, which could lead to some much needed turnovers.

Notre Dame starting center Jarrett Patterson will miss the rest of the season following foot surgery, while starting guard Tommy Kraemer is out for Friday's game at No. 25 North Carolina.

Considering how they really didn’t have to play in the second half vs k-st and how easy it was it hard for me to really decide who in the better spot. To make matters worse line a pk so can’t do my typical lazy horns capping and look to play the dog, I was thinking they would be catching a fg or so. Tough game cause I don’t really trust either team to give a consistent effort week to week.

even worse was they had to have gotten 5 or 6 on 1st drive of the game! That was one the most pathetic efforts I’ve seen all year, those lousy Mfers were trying to kill clock entire 2nd half. I’m still pissed off I somehow lost a over 47 when isu scored 45!!!

South Florida Johnny Ford dismissed

He finished 2020 with 285 yards rushing on 55 carries with three touchdowns and 731 all-purpose yards (team highs heading into Friday’s game against UCF). He had 15 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Ford hasn't played for two weeks and a Freshman RB Brian Battie has led USF in rushing the last two.

That is from last week, but it gives some insight into the state of USF's roster.

A few quotes:

Oftentimes injuries themselves throughout the season can become overwhelming. But throw in opt outs, COVID-19 positives, and the team is stretched the thinnest it’s been.

“This year, you have guys starting off the season that are opting out, so that’s one group right there,” Scott said. “Then you have players that are out due to COVID-related issues, whether they’re positive and they’re in isolation or they have contact tracing, they’re in quarantine. So that’s another group that comes out and then you have your standard injuries.”
“Before the opt outs we had 115,” Scott said Tuesday. “We’re practicing with about 64 today.”
“We started with eight scholarship corners to start the year and we’re at two right now going into this game,” Scott said. “We started the season with eight D-tackles for our two D-tackle sports inside, and we’re at two right now, counting walk-ons going into the game.

“For our three safety positions we started the season with eight scholarship players and we’re down to three for the three spots.”
Coach Jeff Scott confirmed Tuesday that cornerback KJ Sails and defensive lineman Kevin Kegler will miss the rest of the season with injury and surgery, respectively.

It's probably bad timing for UCF with little to play for and off the disappointing Cincinnati game. Assuming UCF cares, they should name their score like usual. Last 4 years UCF has averaged 38 ppg vs USF. UCF is averaging 42.6 ppg on O this year. USF is allowing 37.6.

Well...if Milton is going to dress and play in this game even ceremonially if not meaningfully...that alone should have UCF pretty into this game.
