Week 12 with Marsski

I don't have strong feelings on it one way or another, 58 sounds about right. I think it'll probably drop because of weather under betting.

Yep. That's why I'm holding out. Both teams are still huge pace teams, and think it flies over.

I took the under @ 60, if you like the over you may want to wait for more under money to drive that down further. The spread is down to -11 on my site, I think I'll take the Rockets now.

It is really nasty here today. Like I said, about 30 minutes east of Kent State. Think the high was 32 today. Been raining all day. Ice on on all the street signs, traffic lights.

Interpret that weather as you will. I don't know, but I will say it would be difficult to want to go out there and play football in this weather. When I was a kid I might've loved it though...I feel old LOL.

Not much better in North Campus Columbus. Almost broke my neck getting to the car.

Kind of feels like maybe its a hurry up and get it over game....the attendance for this game might be an all time low....and midweek MACtion is known for sparse crowds...I'm thinking $$$ starts rolling in on Kent and the under

On one of the kickoffs in the NIU game last night all i saw were empty stands in the background. Maybe all were on the camera man side of the field or something but it was kinda sad ..... and kinda reaaaaal cold

Its sad and cold. The OU Miami last year was freezing and it's way worse when the wind whips into you with no one blocking it. The MAC basically decided to sacrifice its attendance and late in the year game experience to be on midweek TV. I think its a good tradeoff but the old-timers and people that live in Athens really hate it.

I kinda get it because I would feel the same way about OSU...but c'mon you're the MAC....you don't get broadcast when you play on Saturdays

The way they have the side-view cameras at the games, the non pressbox side is what you always see. It isn't a ton better, but most of the fans are on the side with the pressbox and the camera doesn't show that.

Tonight, maybe 50 people there for Toledo-Kent? I can't imagine anyone other than local parents coming. Snow is starting to stick on the ground now.

I canceled my flight to Kent and overheard another couple do the same today

You would've flown into Akron/Canton or Cleveland ;)

But you know faculty, students, local people (like me) who think about going to games sometimes. I've sat through really cold weather at stadiums, but sitting through cold rain and wet snow? No way tonight.

I was young but remember an ISU/Ok St game where my fingers were so frozen I couldn't grip the zipper on my jeans and I had to piss so bad. Finally learnt to thaw fingers under running water, fortunately in the sink

We were at a Permian playoff game in Texas Stadium and a liter of Coke froze under the bleacher seat.

I was in the top row of an OSU Michigan game (wanna say 2000) and it was so cold that my girlfriend (at that time) who was from fucking POLAND wanted to go home in the 1Q. She had a parka and a fur coat on. It was -12 windchill, but the top row had to be -30. We did not leave.

She likely was suffering from a frozen beaver. GL Mars.
