He's really good with college basketball. That's it. He needs nonstop action because all the dead time in football gives him too much time to say dumb shit. Probably be good with hockey but not enough scoring.

Was made for hoops, needs games to change in seconds. He's still one of the best at buzzer beaters which only really happens in basketball. Maybe ping pong?
 
I'll never understand why ESPN continues to employ Desmond Howard. There was a segment yesterday where the GameDay people were talking about the numerous coaching vacancies and what is expected out of head coaches today, etc.

Saban gave a clear and thoughtful response, having had experience the greatest college football coach of all time.

Then it was Howard’s turn to talk. He blathered on about what coaches are and what they do and should do. Saban sat there with a blank stare, thinking “why do I have to listen to this idiot talk about coaching?”

I’m not going “replace with another black dude there” but I think Joey Galloway has low key been great on College Football Final for years no matter who they stick next to him.
I think he would work and pop back at McaFee a bit.

Chris Doering on SEC Network is good but maybe not a fit
 
Always remember television is about entertainment first and information second

Desmond is perfect for that role and Saban is as well

Howard was a great player but he contributes nothing. It's a rare occasion that he seems to have a clue of what he's talking about. Not sure how that qualifies as entertainment.

McAfee? He fills the entertainment angle by filling the class clown role.

They are personalities and they draw viewers. Both of them. I hate watching and haven't in so long but did catch the last half hour yesterday.

Personally, I don't need analysis at all. I wouldn't watch that for the life of me...got enough of that going on in my own head without four more morbid human beings on tv for three hours breaking down x and o type bs. We already get that 24/7
 
I don't know what's going with the TV situations for everyone. I'm a Hulu subscriber so no issues.

Reposting this as it's a go-to for any CFB, NFL games and much more. No fees, no strings. Its server can get overloaded on occasion but I've used it a bunch. Especially useful when out of the country.

I like Brian Jones a lot. Good personality and good understanding of the game. When it comes to Horns, as bad as Colt (McCoy) was with a microphone Jones is really good I think.
