Virginia for me. STB spot for Georgia Tech. Huge field storming win and let's face it, they play to the level of their opponent. Also don't look now put UVA has showed a pulse lately.
I was doing my worksheet for week 10, and when it came time to guess the line for that game, I was surprised to find myself putting the number next to UVA. It was a small number, but I didn't think I'd be doing that for any conference game this year.

Couldn't wait to see the Iowa State ML in Ames and jumped all over it.

Good for KU yesterday and ending the 26-year drought against OU. Hats off if they can be dialed in this weekend on the road against a hot team.

Texas offense was hard to gauge last week. Didn't score for a long period of time but was moving the ball well.

9 point move on WF/Duke total is nuts

Love how low they set the total in the academy game just daring under money to come in when AFA could actually score that themselves

Other way around, opening line is the small one to the right
Actually scratch that, I haven't looked at lines this week

The way it reads as current then open I'd just read it as the smaller one on the right was the opener, not sure why!

Mizzou getting 16 vs the dawgs. Interesting. This is far and away the best offense Uga will have faced, i never would have thought this coming into the year, or any year, that mizzou could not only compete in this game but I seriously think they could have a chance here!

I was incredibly worried they might do something stupid and stub their toe against scary before the bye, it woulda been a very mizzou type thing. Not only did they not slip up but they did something i found impressive even tho I know it prob pissed a lot Of ppl off coming into that game I’m sure thinking shootout. I recall trying to give some warning bout that game, I had a feeling they wouldn’t want a fireworks display.

I’m pretty confident saying Drinkowitz did not enjoy that stretch of games they were having to throw all over and win high scoring affairs. The minute cook had a few turnovers that cost them the lsu game you could see the shift in offense the next few games! Like most these coaches he a total control freak, he wants balance, a level of physicality, and he wants the offense to help control the tempo, and he really isn’t interested in that tempo being fast! I understand some of that to a extent, the problem I have is he doesn’t seem to realize that yea cook turnovers ultimately what lost them the lsu game but at the same time they wouldn’t even been in the lsu game had they played the style he prefers! It was obvious the d had no answer for lsu, very few do, mizzou came into that game thinking they had to try and limit Daniels, Nabers, Thomas in the passing game, obviously nothing wrong w that as they been tearing apart the sec! Unfortunately lsu showed they not a one trick pony and they punished mizzou for playing light boxes as diggs and danieks combined to run for over 250 yards! Diggs doing a ton of damage on the ground early but tigers passing attack got them to the half up 25-18!

It wasn’t the air it out style that got them beat, it was the fact lsu made a adjustment at half, I have no clue why they didn’t come into the game hell bent on stopping Burden but after the half they started doing what everyone is now doing much more often and dedicated several defenders to him. For some reason mizzou continued to force the ball Burden way which lead to a few stalled drives and a turnover. By that point the work diggs had done on the ground set up lsu passing game to hit some shots which gave lsu all the momentum entering the 4th. Eventually mizzou figured out it was time to get other guys involved putting them right back into the game until the unfortunate pick cook threw to lose the game:

I bring all this up cause Drinkowitz looked at this all wrong, fact of the matter is if mizzou would have attempted the balanced attack drink prefers lsu would have smoked them! Yes against uk and scary they were able to be more balanced and help the d out with the offense controlling a lot of those games giving the d a chance to pin their ears back and get off the field. My concern here is while im all for being physical Drinkowitz isn’t in the sun belt anymore! His team isnt capable of pushing Uga defensive front around at the point of attack! They are gonna have to spread them out and play to their strength with 2-3 wrs who be playing on sundays! The only success they will have on the ground will be sneaking in run plays on obvious pass downs when they have Uga in all out defend the pass mode much like they did vs lsu who d can’t be mistaken for Uga! Lol. That said I don’t think Uga can cover all the tigers wrs! I’ve seen far lessor passing attacks have some success vs dawgs d. You simply can’t take burden out without doubling him which leaves Wease and cooper in one on one’s they can win!

The big question will Drinkowitz have the guts to spread it out and throw 35+ passes? If he does then I think mixzou will give Uga all they can handle. I really believe tigers can score 20 points minimum. I say adding 16 to that mizzou covers this all day if they play the right style they might just make this really damn close. I’m not real sure bout Uga offense vs the mizzou d? I feel like they can absolutely keep them around 31-35. To me that equals tigers covering this game, taking the points is a no brainer imo.

Ya’ll know j ain’t the fanboy type and I’ve never felt any kind of connection to mizzou. My growing belief in them is simply watching a bunch and I think having a really good feel for them. It doesn’t appear Uga has found big time pass rushers up front, if they can’t get pressure or have to bring extra guys they in trouble. I don’t think there many secondaries in the country who can handle this receiving corp, they compliment each other very well. You simply can not stop Burden unless you bracket him/dedicate several guys. Wease runs fantastic routes and can separate on his break vs just bout anyone, cooper is great on those underneath crossers and getting upfield after the catch, cook sees the field and gets the ball out on time and hits guys in stride. If you drop 8 into coverage Schrader can beat you on the ground. I know just like this the best offense Uga has faced this clearly the best d mizzou has faced but I don’t think it the Uga d of the last few years, tigers score 22 on Uga last year in a 26-22 loss, Burden hadn’t come into his own yet, Wease was at Oklahoma, cook was not as good. That Uga d was better, that mizzou offense was worse. I just don’t think Uga can hold these guys under 20, the actual outcome could be decided in the red zone as mizzou couldn’t punch their chances in last year, i am very confident tigers can move the ball between the 20s, that will get them the cover, if they can cash in those red zone trips they could knock of the champs!

@cubsker Talk to me about Nebraska's injury situation.

Well, we are currently playing only 3 of the original starting 11 on offense. We started a walk on who I had never heard of on Saturday on the OL. We're playing walk ons and true freshmen at all of the WR spots. We have just one RB (a redshirt freshman, who was 4th string to start the season) who we actually trust to hold on to the ball.

The offense is really bad. Any good defense is going to shut us down. Luckily, we keep playing shit teams and it seems we have 4 more of them on the schedule. I'm hoping to win 2 of em and finish 7-5. Don't be mistaken by our win streak though - we're beating awful teams in ugly manners with a clusterfuck of an offense and a pretty solid defense that takes away the run and relies on the incompetence of the opponent to stop the pass.

Nebby is one of the few teams I can think of that's had worse luck with injuries than Utah. It must be the red.

ODU- small favorite-to-small dog last I checked.

What to do here?

I think the teams are roughly even, maybe slight edge to Coastal but ODU has the home field advantage. ODU still is surprising me and I'm still slow to believe in them, but maybe I need to?

Losses- close losses to Marshall, Wake, JMU....fairly competitive loss to VT. 3 of the 4 losses were on the road. Wake and VT aren't world beaters but they are P5 schools. Marshall seemed way more competitive at the time. They played neck and neck with JMU on the road, who looks to be levels better than other SunBelt teams.

Wins- Louisiana, App State, Tx-Commerce, Southern Miss. I think the close win over Tx Commerce weighs on my mind too much. It was a super windy day and we played awful and that is still sticking with me. Louisiana turned out to be a really good win. App State is solid.

I think the defense is ok. They are going to be beat by good offenses, but aren't so bad that they are just giving up TDs every drive. Lack of playmaking is probably the biggest issue for the defense.

The offense is making strides with the Josh Heupel scheme. Tough to stop the run when you have 4 WRs outside the hash marks and when teams have put more in the box, Wilson has been able to beat them deep. its a very unique offense to defense so its not *that surprising JMU didn't have an answer. But, too often the offense all of a sudden looks pathetic.

Coastal has the backup QB, but that dude lit up Marshall last week.

Coastal hits a lot of big plays and I see that happening vs. ODU. ODU should be able to move the ball. Im leaning towards the over here, don't have a real good read on the side.

From Brian Edwards. Great Twit follow. Happy to see this as I played the over on Monday w/o seeing it.

The over has hit in 12 straight LSU games & is 15-1 in its last 16 contests. The over has cashed at a 3-0-1 clip for 'Bama in its last 4 contests. The Tide is -3.
