First game I like is GB/Sea OVER 45. I know Seattle has a great defense, but Aaron Rodgers will get his against them and RW and his offense has looked sharp in preseason. It'll be interesting to see if they keep throwing the flags in the regular season like preseason.

I gotta believe that discount double check has been waiting for another crack at the Seahawks in Seattle since that fuck up by the refs a couple years back that stole a packer win. If there is an offense that can play with the Seahawks defense in the league it's the pack. Especially now that they have a power back to hand the ball to. I'm hoping for some money to roll in on the Super Bowl champs this week so that I can get six or better and I will probably sprinkle some on the ML.

nah I doubt it. He got paid, and he has a nice QB to throw him the ball and a HC that always wants to.

Him and SP got into on the sidelines when he dunked and all that, but I don't think anything is there now.....since he got paid

I think Chicago deserves a look. Buffalo's offense hasn't looked all that great so far in the preseason, while Alonso's loss looks like it's leading to a shaky defense. Buffalo seems like its still a year away from putting all the pieces together, and even if they are able to string together a 7 or 8 win season, asking them to get off on the right foot against a legitimate NFC contender at Soldier Field is one tall task. Chicago's offense is poised to be one of the most dynamic in the league and the Buffalo secondary should allow the Bears to shine at home. At -7, the line is a steep one, especially when one considers how impressive the Buffalo offense looks on paper. But after watching what Buffalo has actually done so far in this preseason, there is a lot of work left to do. This team hasn't seemed to gel just yet. Give me the team that's ready to win now, starting the season off at home, with the offense that is capable of a DD win. Chicago -7.

There are no byes obviously on Week 1 but the dumb ass NFL schedule people put 10 (10am pst) games and only 2 (1:25 pst) games. WTF throw another game or 2 for the late afternoon games.

Some interesting line moves. The OVER/UNDER on GB/Sea game went up a full point to 46 from 45. I think it goes up another .5 point at least by game time. We'll see. Also with the Raiders announcing Derek Carr is starting, that line went from +4.5 to +5.5 for the Raiders. Obviously because of the rookie QB starting. Lastly Denver crossed the 7 line and is now a 7.5 point favorite. If that keeps going up I will be on Indy as they seem to play the tough teams well.

It's actually gone up from 45. I posted the lines in the first post and you can see it there. I'm glad I got it at 45. I think this will be a scoring league this year so I wouldn't doubt it if it goes to 48. Aaron Rodgers will get his and RW has been phenomenal in the pre season scoring on I think 11 of 13 drives.

Outside of the QB, they have a pretty damn good offense. If they had a QB other than EJ, they would be seen as one of the better NFL offenses. Spiller and Jackson in the backfield, with Watkins, Woods, Mike Williams, and Marquise Goodwin is a great set of skill players, with a ton of speed. Their OL is also pretty capable of running the ball efficiently, but they do have a new guy or two there this year.

unfortunately it starts and ends with QB, if you got one you're a good offense and if you don't you're nothing imho

I'll be on the Titans. I missed the good number, but I think public money could drive this back up to 3.5. I just want 3.5 at this point. When Locker is healthy, the Titans are legit offensively. His ability to scramble should neutralize the KC pass rush from the edges. On the other side of the ball, KC is hurting on the O-line and Bowe is out. They are really only playing with Charles and the two TE's as weapons. I'd expect a low-scoring, boring game, decided by a FG either way.

I've watched most of the Bills preseason and they do not look improved to me at all. There is a fine line between winning and losing in this league and that team - although pretty talented - lacks the depth and leadership to win consistently. I expect a 6-10 season.

A ton of questions surrounding the Bills team for me entering week 1. I totally agree that they looked unimpressive (to say the least) in preseason, but they showed no offensive wrinkles at all, limited the touches for both CJ/Fred and experimented a bit moving guys around the offensive line.

Of course EJ is a concern and in the end the offense will go as he does, but let's not forget this is a running team first. The addition of Watkins does not change that, but will definitely stretch the field for them. Just have to worry about EJ telegraphing passes and getting him killed. They are facing a Bears rush D that is a big question mark- they are supposed to be improved vs the run but I have my doubts. Jared Allen isn't getting any younger, I think Cordy can handle him. O-line will have to play well but I do think they have the right guys in place. Spiller in the final year of his contract and everything to play for and finally 100% healthy. Fred got paid and also well rested, I really think the Bills come out running the ball and work the pass off of that. I think we have just as much talent @ wr as nearly every top team in the league.


Defense is where many of the questions are. The Bills imo are top 3 in the league on the D-line, so I'll just skip them. With Alonso done for the year I do expect Bradham to be a key player on the weakside at LB, but he is suspended game 1. That leaves Spikes anchoring the LB in between Preston Brown and Richards. Scary to say the least- it's no secret Spikes is not a great pass-defense lb. Ideally he wouldn't even be in during obvious passing situations but given how thin the Bills are, he likely will be out there. Not the best news when you have to worry about Forte out of the backfield as well as Bennett and the best wr tandem in football.

Which brings me to the secondary. Gilmore is not a top corner. I'm not sure he should be anyone's top starting corner but hey he is the Bill's. I know he still isn't 100% but he looked downright terrible in the preseason (also just as bad when I went to minicamp). DaNorris Searcy is a playmaker but is also raw and prone to make a couple boneheaded plays. McKelvin is coming off undoubtedly the best season of his career, so hopefully he can build on that but I do think Byrd gone is a big loss that has not been fixed.

I think given the ? defensively for Buffalo playing them on the ML is a highly risky proposition. However I don't trust the Bears defense enough to warrant laying the chalk. I'll be on the Titans. I missed the good number, but I think public money could drive this back up to 3.5. I just want 3.5 at this point. When Locker is healthy, the Titans are legit offensively. His ability to scramble should neutralize the KC pass rush from the edges. On the other side of the ball, KC is hurting on the O-line and Bowe is out. They are really only playing with Charles and the two TE's as weapons. I'd expect a low-scoring, boring game, decided by a FG either way.

Add DeAnthony Thomas to the injury list now. Not expected to play. He would have been in line for at least some kind of role with Bowe out. This offense will be look ugly on Sunday.

I know every Tom, Dick and Harry will be on Denver on SNF. But I like them ,too. Not sure how Colts O-line will handle this Denver D, which I feel is a top 3 unit in the entire league. AQ Shipley set to start at C. Ouch

Maybe an Indy local can confirm, but I'm reading that Indy is entering this game with only 1 healthy back up O-lineman, as of now. Is that true? I assume some no name(s) would be called up from the practice squad if so.

Spiller in the final year of his contract and everything to play for and finally 100% healthy. Fred got paid and also well rested, I really think the Bills come out running the ball and work the pass off of that. I think we have just as much talent @ wr as nearly every top team in the league.

I agree that Spiller is healthy (we'll see how long that lasts), but he has 2 years left on his deal. He can opt-out after this year, and most likely that's what he'll do, but he does have 2 years left. The way he'll play, like a man playing for a contract, is definitely worth noting. I only bring up there are 2 years left if, for some reason, he gets injured and misses significant time, as he may re-think opting out of his deal. Of course, that's a slim chance, and it would have to be a season-ending injury, but it is possible.

im pretty much with the world on liking bears this season but unlike most everyone there just no way im laying those points. im not as sure as most that EJ is gonna be terrible but more importantly im pretty sure bills can and will be able to run the ball effectively on the bears weak ass run d. i think bears only won maybe 2 games by a td or more last season and the offense was good last year. maybe times are changing but i cant stomach laying a td vs the better defensive team who i think wins the rushing battle by a wide margin..

when i saw vikings +6 few weeks ago i thought the line was retarded, i guess hindsight and all i shoulda bet it then but what has happened to the line since is downright goofy. there no damn way bradford is worth 2-3 points, if anything i think it addition by subtraction. i trust odds makers to be smarter than me so if they thought lambs were 5-6 points better at home than viks before the bradford injury i say they still are..i know minny has looked good this preseason but their secondary still looks beatable to me and lambs front 7 will cause some problems for cassel.. even tho on paper lambs d should be really good i still worry they not the best tacklers so little scared of ap but there a ton of talent for williams to play around with and wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage.. woulda never thought 3 weeks ago id be looking to bet on my lambs but think at -3 or lower im taking a shot..

I've watched most of the Bills preseason and they do not look improved to me at all. There is a fine line between winning and losing in this league and that team - although pretty talented - lacks the depth and leadership to win consistently. I expect a 6-10 season.

With respect to week 1, I think Buf+7 looks more like a trap to me.
