I have little doubt that it will be BAR's biggest play of the year to date (he's made reference to it in his threads). And it should be. Cavs on 4/5 after playing Boston and oh ya they knocked the Pistons out of the playoffs last year. Pistons on two days rest after losing a home game. Solar eclipse of sorts.

I'm leaning Detroit heavily myself and could pound them as soon as the line is out. Brutal scheduling for Cleveland, back to back, the Pistons are fired up for this one, and as far as I've noticed around various betting and non betting boards, people don't rate Pistons as highly any more. I beg to differ, they're deeper than ever perhaps, they're fun to watch, they have Prince scoring now, a lot of it depends on Sheed's health (hope he's ok) for tomorrow's bet, but I would definitely back the Pistons here.


What do you think the line will be?
 
Probably something higher than any of us would like it. I'll say 6 and I hope I'm not being generous.
 
I have a feeling Rip misses this one. Thats a hunch. That could make the line much lower. Just hoping for a big CLE win tonight to help this bet out. Doubt we see a line for quite awhile..prolly midday tomorrow.
 
say the line comes out as 6.5 and Cleveland does in fact win tonight. Where ddo you think this line goes 2m? I'd imagine 'sharps" will be pounding Detroit, but "public"will love Bron gettin 6. thoughts?
 
also, Houston got GS on Thursday. Thats brutal schedule for Houston. Yao will probably not play much for those 2 games. At Phoenix then At GS?

You have updates on RIP other than what the papers have? I saw he was at practice, but was to sick to participate. I'd think if he's to sick to play in this game than he'd be to sick to even show up at the practice facility. Prince did a gread job picking up the scoring slack when RIP was out earlier and it would certainly help the line so not sure if I care either way.

Think you're right on the money with your CLE/DET thoughts. I doubt the line really moves much of anywhere unless of course they put out a really bad #.

Personally expect a good showing by Houston against the Suns and then a blowout loss to GSW.
 
wooooo!!! Cleveland beats boston in OT. Bron with 38 pts.. 2m will probably be getting something like 6-7. Public eye will probably love that. YES!

Lebron- 45 minutes
Gooden- 42 minutes
Ilgauskas- 44 minutes
Pavlovic- 44 minutes
Gibson- 46 minutes.

also, a difference from the eastern finals from last yr, no snow or hughes- 2 strong perimeter defenders. We're gonna see Boobie trying to guard Hamilton or Billups in the post. That was one of the only things that worked on Cleveland for Detroit last yr.
 
I was kidding, i could care less about this game dont think either team is that great.
 
cleveland is a team i had a low opinion on, but they've been real impressive in spots where i wouldnt havent expected them to be this year, depends on the line
 
Detroit still looks great. Starting to talk myself onto Portland. Pacer had to fight hard to hold off the Nuggets in a game that came down to the final seconds. Running up and down in that Mile high air, then turn around less then 24 hours for another game.

My question is, does the public start hitting up the Pacers after a win in a very tough place to play on the road. I hate laying chalk with Portland, it's almost, if not for certain, a cardinal rule, but I like the way this one shakes up. Portland needing a win on the last leg of their homestand before hitting the road, which has been an ongoing nightmare. Decisions, decisions..

Unbelieveable, I'm going to stay away at 9.5, who knows they probably cover it, but fuck if my money will be on the line to find out
 
Probably worth everybody reading without having to go into my thread. Something to put in your back pocket.


The Spurs lost SU as favorites 20 times last year prior to April 10th. I stopped at April 10th because they quit playing their starters and lost three meaningless games that would provide no emotional difference to the team they lost to. The following is the teams records THE GAME AFTER they upset the Spurs.

Overall 4-15-1 ATS. Breaking it down even farther teams that were 5 point underdogs or more than beat the Spurs went 2-12 ATS their following game. Teams that were 4.5 or less point dogs went 2-3 ATS. Do with it what you want but those are pretty strong #'s.
 
I'd say it's safe to say the we all missed the Sixers/Jazz over. Completely brain dead on that one. Both teams should be into the mid-90s.
