i'm pretty sure BAR has something important to say about the Celtics/Pistons matchup.

I honestly like the Pistons at that spot. I know Billups will eat Rando alive!

Oh and Blazers favored.....uhhhh that's a little off, I'm going to bite on the Raptors at that price

That total seems off at 210 so are the books suggesting one of these 2 teams barely hit 100? If thats the case i'm going to assume Minny don't have enough firepower to compete with the Warriors. Who started out on fire in the 2nd and 3rd q vs Memphis. Lets see if they can keep it up.

cavs line seems too good to be true. King James in MSG and the knicks just waiting for isiah to get fired.

i like the jazz and warriors, but i don't like laying that much road chalk. warriors almost fucked me last night vs. the grizz, i don't have faith in them covering 7.5 on the road where they will absolutely keep minni in the game.

i think im gona take the first halfs for both those games rather than risk getting :moose:



paul played like ass last night, the hornets should bounce back.

not sure what to think of the raptors. gonna see how they do tonight, but the blazers are due for a bad game.
 
While the Nation has not released an official opinion on that particular contest, it is always willing to offer some unofficial thoughts to a long-time supporter. The Nation gives strong merit to the factor of revenge in this game, with Atlanta handing Miami an embarrassing loss in Miami earlier this year. Furthermore, the Nation recognizes Miami's tendency to play much better and more focused in road games, as opposed to home games. With Coach Riley's latest tantrum and challenge of his team, the Nation deems it wise to steer clear of a play on Atlanta here. That being said, the Nation is in no hurry to release an official play on Miami. Hope that helps, and remember, life is a sensation when you're talking hoops with the Nation!

Utah Jazz @ Charlotte Bobcats Utah -5.5 O/U 196.5

  • Charlotte hasn't covered the spread yet this month a perfect 0-8
  • Charlotte is 3-11 ATS as a Dog this year
  • Charlotte is 7-15 ATS total this yea
  • Utah is 2-7 ATS last 9
  • Utah is 5-10 this year on the road
The last 5 times these 2 teams have played they have exceeded the total, we all know Utah is a terrible home team, and this line should be a pt or 2 lower. Utah has no idea how to play D. Utah gives up 105 on the road, and scores 103 on the road. Charlotte averages 94 at home, and give up 98.


Seems like a pick for the over would be the best pick in this matchup! Utah should beat them, but its real tough to back them right now OTR.
 
Toronto @ Portland -2 185.5

Portland is hot right now, we all know this! Portland is 8-0 Ats there last 8. Toronto is a great Road Team. Aldridge and Roy are expected to be back!

Toronto is a road covering machine 7-3 OTR ATS, and and 8-3 SU as a dog.

Alot depends on Torontos game and how they play against the Clippers tonight.

Initially I like Toronto in this spot to push Portland back to 500 on the year.

Minny cant shoot the outside jumper.

We like to control the tempo

GSW does the complete opposite, and they force there opponents to adapt.


GSW has NJ and then Cleveland after this game. Those 2 games should be a littler tougher than this one. A solid blowout of Minny make them feel better about splitting the next 2.


I have successfully faded Minny the whole year, for the exception of the Miami game. I will be playing the whole game, and if its close I will be playing the 2nd half as well.
 
Lay off on the Raptors for now, I foresee a lineup change either tonight or tomorrow.

detroit+6 and the ml (yes boston losses its first home game)

cavs-3.5 (looks to good to be true)

bulls+4.5 and ml (depending on bulls performance tonight, wiz have no good pg)

miami heat+1.5 (probably a revenge game)

Portland-2 (too damn hot too fade, i want them as a dog +1 to +2 or even as a pk though)

With the world on ind-phi over 201.5 (can the sixers score)
 
It's funny that the Hawks winning by 3 is considered an embarassing loss for Miami, but I guess, at the time, it was. I am surprised this line is so low, I'd love the Hawks if they were -4, which is where I thought the line should be based only on how the teams are playing. I like the under a lot though.

The Heat's recent run of high scoring games is more a result of the teams they've been playing than anything else; Den, Por, Utah, Pho, GS, Was, Ind .. all in their last 10. Last night Hawks game has nothing to do with how they normally play, since they were against the Jazz. The line is 187, I'd be shocked if it goes over 175.

Don't worry bout that mah man. Indiana's D is atrocious and Mo has Philly running like fools now. Look at how many fast break pts they've scored last few games. Both teams should clear 100, this should be as easy as the Indy/Bulls one last week.

Really considering a parlay of GSW -7 and OVERS.

This line seems short(210)...blowout, don't think so. GSW defense gives up a shit ton of points. 10-13 point win IMO. Gotta have about 112 out of GSW.
Line is low due to Minny's last 10 totals. 211 with the Lakers nothing else really close. Just look at the teams they have played.

Can GSW force Minny into a run and gun???

I'm not sure abou the "nation", but time permitting I usually am on here with my thoughts for the day. I've given up keeping a record for the time being, but that's mainly because of a lack of time with the holidays and a couple other things. Bit difficult doing a thread every day in the NBA and MLB while weekly threads in the NFL are a piece of cake. Enough rambling:


I'm on the Pacers over with Killa and the Blazers under. As far as totals go I also like the Warriors under and the Suns under but I'm not sure I'll play either.

MLW at 5 or better, TOR are two sides I kind of like but to be honest all the sides really aren't attractive. I was hoping for more movement overnight to loosen things up but no luck.

I think the Spurs vs Grizzlies goes over 200 pretty easily. What does the nation think about that?
 
Saw your post in BAR's thread with regard to the GSW total...

Look at Minny's last 10 games, only one game went over this # and nothing else was even close.

But they didn't play an offense this good or defense this bad...

I will most likely parlay GSW and overs.

Agree on all points, and this is why I'm on GSW -7. I have also played the over in Indiana, I thinking about playing the Pistons at whatever # is @ (+6 or higher) before tip off. Im super excited to watch this game, and I figure alot of money to come in on Boston during the day.

If the Cleveland total gets any higher, I will probably roll against most guys here and play NYK. I have had a feeling this line is a trap from the get go!

Something tells me the Jazz and Bobcats play into the 100's each.

That line in Portland hopefully keeps rising, if it does Toronto might be a play.
