There may be value fading Sac, but this is their 1st home game. Young teams will always look bad on the road, but with Arco being one of the strongest home courts, I think Sac wins this one. However, I refuse to lay points with this team

-15 for the lakers? clippers still getting blown out and lakers on 3 days rest with 3 more days of rest after this, nothing to look ahead too. maybe a 1H play since 15 is a large #

3 days of rest for both ATL and NO, think NO can easily cover 7.5 if thats the line but Im guessing 8.5-9. Orlando and Philly havent been all too impressive early this year.
 
Think I would just pass on the Lakers game. Dunleavy has certainly done a terrible job with the team. Mobley and Davis getting minutes galore that they do not deserve. Gordon just sitting on the bench in games where they are getting crushed is obviously crazy. But Kaman is now playing well. Camby and Baron are going to start playing longer and better and Thorton is pretty good.. If the manager starts expanding Skinner's minutes and giving Gordon a chance to play-----could be looking at a vast inprovement very quickly. Team has one more high probablity loser with the Rockets and then i suspect they start winning games. Hope so.
 
LAC still plays in the Staples Center , right ? So how absurd is it they actually adjust the lines in LAL vs LAC games ? The 1st meeting was around -8/-9 and this is -15 on the same court ......fans are not what home court advantage is about ....

I don't think this line move was so much about the change in who is labeled home team than change in perception. 1st clipper game had high hopes for the clips this season- too high imo. 4 games in, 0-4, perception has changed. However, I think a 6 pt shift is too much

True, but Memphis is also a young team. How much must guys like Rudy Yag, OJ Mayo, Conley, etc. love going into a place like Arco (knowing it's such a loud place, and the home opener) and saying "We're gonna quiet this crowd, and beat these young guys in their home opener"

Meanwhile, Kings are so young they may get over-hyped (sans Martin)

Still 5 games OTB basically due to injury or player status after the Den-Det deal.

Suns CRUISED to a win today so not much wasted in the game at NJ. Dont think anyone played more then 28 minutes (Raja and Amare the two guys who can handle the most minutes IMO . They used the top 7 for 20 to 28 minutes with Shaq about 23 minutes. Granger is Probable with teeth listed as the injury assuming some dental work or something . Nesterovic is questionable and Dunleavy still out . Though Rotowire has Rasho as OUT leaving Jeff Foster and Roy Hibbert to deal with Shaq and Amare . Have to look at PHO IMO as I am sure Indy will be a sexy play after beating Boston but I think the long layoff robbed them of that momentum. So looking for Pho early maybe 1st H worst case . KG spoke about how well Indy played defense vs them but C's also missed a ton of FTs.

Charlotte and NYK actually could make for a good over play. Larry Brown wants his players to attack the hoop and get away from the jump shot mentality . What better opponent then NYK to attack the basket ? They employ a small lineup and of course the run N gun style they are trying to implement which obviously they will not give up on. After a frustrating game vs Milw who elected to slow the game down this could be a good spot for NYK to get back on track so to speak. Tough to lay points with NYK at this point ...(Larry Brown I am sure will motivate his TEAM to get a WIN)

Spurs were terrible today but sort of like Dallas was the previous game as well . They get a quick chance to redeem themselves and people will probably SHY away rom them after today . Its TRUE SA is not a good B2B team but that also has been because they were off a win and trying to cover road chalk . Thonk Spurs are 9-1 L10 meetings vs Minny with a 2 pt loss in OT and SA did edge Minny LYR 100-99 @ Minny laying -8.5. Tony Parker and TD had played so well and couldnt get the Spurs to win so like I always say after 2 performances that were good abd resulted in losses teams usually blow someone OUT or get blown out themselves. Again held true today . Minny choked away the game on SUnday has some rest but a sandwich spot coming back from OKC playing this one and then beginning a road trip on Friday .......Remember DAL was -6 at minny and won by 10 .....so SA is CHEAP here I think a tad not sure I buy DAL as better then SA because of 1 H2H win...

Might back CHI with Cavs in a bit of tough schedule seemingly traveling to every game .......they are home but coming back from 2 road games....though CHI sort of similiar travel plans so far ...think maybe -5.5 or -6 was more accurate ...

Line is pretty tight with C's @ OKC you just wonder how Boston responds with the vets logging heavy minutes in a game that went down to the last tick. OKC also will have some momentum after the comeback although that was Sunday....a game where the BOS defense can get back on track for sure ...

Interested in if Williams plays for Utah at what point I am sure to play Portland if the line rises ....

Kings play their HOME opener and memphis has hung tough so far . Not sure this game should be anything but Kinds -2 seems high at -4. Could be an over with how SAC is playing even with memphis not being the same type squad offensively as years past....

I would probably take a look at LAC 1st H or the points . Hard to see the incentive for LAL to play 4 quarters after already BLASTING LAC this season.....

I think commonsense should have tempered early expectations for LAC seeing as the starting 5 never played together in the preseason. Think Baron played 1 game and not sure Camby played any . You are probably right though getting beat by 30 probably weighs just as heavily as the comical swutch in home court . :shake:
 
Pretty mad. SA getting blown out and Phoenix blowing out. Wanted Phoenix off a tough game, but still like Indiana. Nash has his troubles vs quick guards, Don't know who guards Granger on Phoenix. Phoenix had the benefit of shooting 63%, and 12-18 form 3 today, also the blowout may get us a point or 2 more of value by tip. I worry less about the momentum lost by Indiana as imo it was good to avoid the hangover. I'd be more concerned if Indiana beat Boston today then had to play Phoenix. However, off 3 days to take it and continue I like this spot for them- still fighting to fill the stands. I watched the last game in its entirety and Indiana came out with more intensity and fire than Boston. Where is the motivational edge for Phoenix off a blowout win in midst of their first road trip?
 
Have not really been following Minn. Miller, Foye, Ollie. Who is actually guarding the opposition point guard and how much luck do they figure to have with Parker?

I dont think good teams punt games so not sure why you would question PHO motivational edge. Its early in the season teams are looking to string together wins IMO .

On the fence here think INDY is alot better then expected and played them at Det and vs Boston even the ML . Just not sure what value is here with them. While PHO might not be as good as persay as Boston its the same type team who win clicking can put a hurt on teams . So at 3 or 3.5 not sure I see value in INDY would need +6 or better and doubt we get that .

Raja was 6/6 from three and thats what makes the shooting look so good . Better to have 1 guy step in shit then the whole team . If this was home I would say it definetly carries over but being in a new plave hard to say if it does. Shooters are streaky so its not usually on today and off tmrw type mentality with them.

Curious to see what unfolds. Clearly Nash struggles with any type of athletic guards and clearly Granger peresents a matchup problem but Amare and Shaq are much bigger problems IMO . Would guess Diaw gets some time covering Granger . Jeff Foster and Roy Hibbert vs the Suns duo concerning IMO....:shake:
 
i dont understand why chicago is getting 7.5. who is gonna contain rose on cleveland roster? if you dont have a pg who can d him up you will be in a dogfight with us.

BC, I know this might be threading the needle a bit too much, but you wouldn't know how many of those 15 games had the road team coming off an Under result, would you?

9 off an Under result, 6 off an Over result (2 of those were Under results turned into Overs by OT).
