Ill be watching this tonight. Therell be some good fights, Pulver Faber Torres Maeda. This card is a lot better than what elitexc put out last night lol.

CBS didn't even get the best card of the weekend....

it should be an absolutely great fright with Faber/Pulver...

Dominic Cruz (Pictures) vs. Charlie Valencia (Pictures)
Round 1
Valencia got the action started with a stiff right hand that connected. Cruz answered back with a left leg kick that shook Valencia's frame. Cruz got the better of the early exchanges, but Valencia refused to back down an inch, landing a head kick and stalking his opponent in the cage. At the end of the opening period, Cruz stuffed a Valencia shot and landed some leather that stunned the veteran. 10-9 for Cruz.

Round 2
A heavy punch from Valenica sets the pace for the second stanza. Cruz recovered in a scramble and began to tee off with strikes while on the feet. Valencia responds in aggressive spurts, landing a right hand that backed his opponent up. In the final minutes of the round, Cruz started to string together punching combinations which opened Valencia up for a takedown. 10-9 for Cruz.

Round 3
Cruz continued to strike well through the third, picking his opponent apart from the outside. Valenica answered with a strong side kick that sent his opponent reeling backwards. Cruz, not to be outdone, stepped up the pace with a haymaker and short punches. Sherdog.com scores the fight 30-27 for Dominic Cruz. The official judges see the contest 30-27 and 29-28 (twice) for Cruz.

Alexandre Franca Nogueira (Pictures) vs. Jose Aldo
Round 1
Aldo landed leather on Nogueira against the cage. Working standup, Aldo lands and defends early takedown attempts. Aldo kept a good temp through the opening round, defending the shot and landing punches from the inside and outside. At the end of the round, Aldo hurt Nogueira with a fast flurry of punches. 10-9 for Aldo.

Round 2
Aldo took over in the second. After Nogeuria missed a front kick, and dove in for a desperate single-leg. Aldo defended and teed off when Nogueira went to his own back following the failed shot. Aldo hopped on top and brutally pounded Nogueira out at 3:22 of the second frame.

Luis Sapo vs. Alex Serdyukov (Pictures)
Round 1
Sapo started with a head kick that glanced. Alex closed in looked to strike, while Sapo, a counter puncher by nature, picked his strikes from the outside. Sapo got busy with his jab midway through the frame, following with low kicks. A big knee to the midsection found its target for Sapo. Luis poured it on with three hooks that landed. Sapo slipped throwing some leather and paid the price as Alex jumped to mount and blasted away with punches. Sapo was in trouble as time expired. Alex takes the round on the strength of the final minute, 10-9. The fight is called between rounds as a Sapo was unable to continue.

Jeremy Lang vs. Tim McKenzie (Pictures)
Round 1
Lang lifted McKenzie high into the air and slammed him to the canvas. Lang, from the mount, landed a few strikes before McKenzie was able to get half-guard. From his back, McKenzie looks for an armbar and a guillotine, but Lang has none of it. Lang got busy with ground-and-pound until his opponent used the cage to get to his feet. Lang took the fight back to the floor, we he ate several elbows from the top position. Lang, bleeding from the elbows, takes the round on the Sherdog.com scorecard, 10-9.

Round 2
Lang gets a takedown early in the second. McKenzie fought to get back to his feet, but Lang showed good control in keeping him down. McKenzie went for an unsuccessful armbar and gave up position, which led to a rear-naked choke attempt with no hooks by Lang. After both fighters returned to their feet, Lang secured another takedown and controlled with ground-and-pound while dodging upkicks. 10-9 Lang.
 
Round 3
McKenzie got kneed in the groin after dropping levels for a takedown. The bout is halted to give McKenzie time to recover. One the action resumed, McKenzie landed a knee while Lang shot in. He is hurt from he blow and caught in a triangle-choke. Lang taps at the 0:40 mark of round three.
 
Will Ribeiro (Pictures) vs. Chase Beebe (Pictures)
Round 1
Beebe comes out kicking and is caught in a flying guillotine. He escaped danger and took the top position, where he transitioned briefly to Riberio's back. Riberio stood and landed a spinning back fist. Near the end of the frame, Ribeiro worked for another guillotine. 10-9 for the Brazilian.

Round 2
Beebe was much more effective in the second, after narrowly escaping another guillotine attempt early in the stanza. Beebe controlled and isolated an arm on the ground, leaving an opening for him to strike the head of Riberio. The Brazilian fought out of danger and nearly had a takedown of his own, but the former bantamweight champion ended up on top, where he elbowed the head. 10-9 Beebe.

Round 3
Ribeiro presses forward with strikes, looking to avoid a judges' decision. The fighters traded in spurts in the final period, with Riberio getting the best of the exchanges. Near the end of the round, Beebe got caught in another guillotine that he was able to free himself from. 10-9 Riberio. The judges see the contest 29-28 (twice) for Riberio, and 29-28 for Beebe. Will Riberio takes the split-decision.
 
Mike Thomas Brown vs. Jeff Curran (Pictures)
Round 1
The fighters go through a feeling out period to begin the featherweight contest. Brown broke the stalemate with a shot attempt, which as stuffed by Curran. Both fighters trade punches with nothing hitting the mark clean. Brown secured a takedown an had to fight off two triangle chokes for his effort. The first frame goes to Jeff Curran, 10-9.

Round 2
Mike Brown scored an early takedown and was forced to fend off a Curran guillotine. Referee Herb Dean stood the fighters up after a lull in the action. Curran connected with some strikes on his feet but lost his rhythm when he shot for a takedown. Brown stuffed and took the top position, where he pounded away with elbows and punches from the crucifix position. Brown takes the round, 10-9.

Round 3
Brown and Curran trade equal leather to start the third before Brown took the action to the canvas with a trip against the fencing. From side-control, Brown struck and controlled for a decent portion of the stanza. Curran was able to sweep but was taken back down before the horn sounded. 10-9 for Brown. All three judges see the bout 30-27 for Mike Thomas Brown.
 
Donald Cerrone (Pictures) vs. Danny Castillo (Pictures)
Round 1
Castillo got a quick takedown and followed with punches. Cerrone went high with his hip in a rubber guard, looking for an armbar. Castillo escaped a first attempt, but taps to a second. Cerrone wins by armbar early in the opening minute. The official time is 0:30 of the first.
 
yeah Torres (seeing -625) and Faber (-360) are huge favorites now....
 
Kenneth Alexander (Pictures) vs. Rob McCullough (Pictures)
Round 1
Alexander pulls guard but can't do anything with the position. The fighters trade weak low kicks through the 2 minute mark of the opening period. With the fans growing restless, McCullough opened up a bit and grazed a left legged head kick. Alexander rushed in and was hit by a short right hand and a jumping knee. McCullough stuffed several takedown attempts in the final 60 seconds.

Looks like its comming down to the third round..
Round 2
McCullough, bleeding from a small cut under his right eye, paws a lazy jab to kickoff the second stanza. Alexander scores a brief takedown but he can't hold the former WEC lightweight champion down. Alexander kicks "Razor" in the face with his left foot and lands an uppercut. The crowd showers the cage with boos as the action crawls to a stop. Alexander avoids a jumping knee and takes McCullough down. "Razor" quickly stands but is taken back down.

Round 3
McCullough and Alexander pick up the tempo a fraction in the third. Alexander lands a few right hands and McCullough scores with a shin to the mouth and a few low kicks. An unintentional knee to the groin temporarily halts the contest. Action is resumed with two minutes remaining in the contest. McCullough continues to stuff the takedown, but he does little on the offensive end. With 50 seconds left, Alexander gets a double-leg, but does nothing with it.

Grigsby like a fish out of water on his back
Chuck Grigsby vs. Mark Munoz (Pictures)
Round 1
Grigsby stops an early shot from Munoz and tries for a front choke. Munoz escapes to his feet and struggles to get Grigsby to the floor. Munoz finally muscled his opponent to the floor, where he was slow to mount any offense. Munoz stood inside Grigsby's guard and lunged in with two right hands that grazed their target. Grigsby caught Munoz's right arm in a Kimura, but from half-guard, he was not able to do anything with it. Munoz turned up the pressure and started to land with his right hand. Grigsby looked for a kneebar and was pounded out with right hands for his trouble.
 
This is a great fight, these bantomweights are so dynamic.
Round 1
Maeda catches a Torres kick and aids him to the canvas. Maeda allows Torres to stand and eats a few knees for his trouble. Torres, bleeding from the nose, pulls guard and goes for an omaplata. Torres holds the glove to finsh, but Maeda escapes. Torres stands and throws wildly but nothing connects solidly. The fighters trade knees and right hands. Good action through four minutes. Torres controlled much of the round, but Maeda landed a kick to the head and body at the end of the round.

Round 2
Maeda scores early in the second with a kick and a right hand. Back to the body goes Maeda with a hard kick to the right side of Torres. The champion lands a solid left hook and several knees to the body. Meada buckles down and answers with a flurry of his own. Torres slips and is caught in a heel hook. Torres goes for a leg of his own as the fighters trade submission attempts. Maeda frees himself and went for a kneebar. Torres latches on a guillotine but gives it up for mount. He goes for another choke before time expires.

Round 3
A solid one two scores for Torres. The champion has found his range with the jab. Maeda's right eye is swelling at a frantic pace. Torres strikes the chin with a right knee as he times a counter perfectly. Maeda, now with his eye swollen shut, eats a hard left hand as referee Herb Dean looks on closely.

The cage-side doctor has called the bout in between rounds due to Meada's massively swollen eye.
 
Jens Pulver (Pictures) vs. Urijah Faber (Pictures)
Round 1
Faber gets the action started with a right hook. And another. Faber continues to clip Faber with a right hand lead. A slip from Faber gives Pulver the top position on the ground. After taking an inadvertent finger to the eye, Pulver lands a right knee to the chin. Both fighters are loading up on their punches, looking for the knockout. Urijah's right hand lead continues to be the story of the first frame as he lands it at will. Pulver lands his best shot of the fight, a right hook on the heels of a jab.

Round 2
Pulver is crushed with an unintentional kick to the groin. Time is called for Pulver to recover from the inside-low kick gone awry. The bout is restarted and Faber gets a quick takedown. Now standing again, Faber drops Pulver with a punching combo. The champion rushes with punches but Pulver is game. The challenger steps forward and tags Faber with a straight left down the pipe. Stunned from the shot, Faber drops levels for a single-leg but Pulver has none of it. Both fighters land punches as the horn sounds.

Round 3
Back to the right hand lead goes Faber, and it's just as accurate as in the previous frames. Pulver crushes Faber with a kick to the liver. Faber answers with a kick of his own. Pulver finds himself on top after stuffing a Faber single-leg. Faber sweeps and elbows the head. Pulver ties up the head and gets to butterfly guard. Referee Josh Rosenthal stands the fighters up. Champion and challenger trade kicks.

Round 4
Pulver, sporting a mouse under his right eye, slips and eats a punching flurry. Pulver starts to blink repeatedly after getting hit with a left hand. Faber pieces together three straight right hands but Pulver sticks right in the pocket. Faber times a takedown perfectly and finds himself in Pulver's guard. The champion lands hard elbowsfor the duration of the round.

Round 5
Pulver defends a slow double-leg attempt. The champion uses good footwork to circle away from Pulver's power. Pulver lands a left hook but does not follow it up. Pulver works levels with two left hooks. The first smacks the body then he cracks the head. Faber secures a takedown to seal the deal.

Personally I'm not a fan of Faber, but he was clearly the better fighter tonight. His speed really wore Pulver down. It actually looked like Pulver's age affected him versus a younger, quicker fighter.
 
WEC 34 fighters salaries: Faber, Pulver and McCullough top earners

WEC featherweight champ Urijah Faber scored the biggest win of his career at Sunday's WEC 34 event, and he earned an event-high base salary of $44,000 in the process.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today received the list of official salaries for the event, which took place at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, from the California State Athletic Commission.

Other top earners included Faber's opponent, Jens Pulver ($33,000), as well as Rob McCullough ($32,000) and WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres ($28,000).

The total disclosed payroll for the event was $260,000. The average salary was $11,818.

All of the winning fighters received "win bonuses" that doubled their salaries. For example, Faber earned a base salary of $22,000 and got an additional $22,000 for the victory. Had Pulver pulled off the victory, he would have been the event's highest-paid fighter with a $66,000 payday.
