Just been watching this side's NRL progress to this point, but it's gotten absurd in a statistical sense.

In the Warrior's 8 games to date

- the favourite is 8-0 ATS*
- the favourite is 7-1 scoring 1st
- the favourite is 7-1 scoring the 1st try
- the favourite is 7-1 at leading on halftime

*home team has been the favourite in every game.

This, in my experience, is an unprecedented ATS run by the favourite for any team's sequence of fixtures. In keeping with such an observation, I'll be tracking the Warriors results from here with the expectation of looking to cash in on the dog result correction that is surely on it's way.

The spread for this game (-3.5/4.0) stinks. The Warriors have lost every road game they've played by double-digits (14, 46, 28 & 12 pts), Penrith is above them on the ladder w/a better points differential, and the Warriors history at this venue is not good to say the least. So why the low spread? both teams have lost only 1 player to State of Origin duty - it absolutely begs the average punter to pound Penrith, even if Puletua is out injured (doesn't make up for the Warriors missing Price & McKinnon).

Warriors have started every match in Aussie poorly, and if they're going to compete like the spread clearly indicates, they'll have to begin well. So I've a small bet on them to score a try as the 1st scoring play, and look at live betting.

Penrith scored a penalty goal to open the scoring, a few plays prior to which a Warriors player got hit high and the ref failed to give them a clear penalty & they subsequently lost the ball inside their own 22 on the next play setting up Penrith's scoring play.

Penrith then scored the game's first try after a clear forward pass in a couple of lead up plays previous.

Gotta love the refs treatment of the Warriors for games in Oz.

Got fooled by the books on this one. Thought they were morons for opening such a low line unless they knew something was up. Well, nothing was up, they're morons, and I'm a fool for thinking they knew any better. That spread was a gift horse I looked in the mouth (even thou the bet I did place was raped by the ref).

Think the favorite run ends this weekend, when the Warriors host the Cocks at Ericsson. Where they are currently undefeated...

Warriors +105-120 at most books...
 
I hear you emkee - problem is the way they're going you know a road team has to show sooner or later, and given their narrow winning home margins compared to their losing road margins, odds are that road team first shows in a Warriors home game.

There just had to be a road fav come along to scerw things up. Continued "road doggery" would've made this planned approach a lot smoother.

I'll consider betting them to lead at the half.

If I believed they make the playoffs, I'd consider them more seriously. But I don't personally see them achieving that feat, so I'll settle for pasing on any pre-game bets.
