UFC Fight Night 26

THis card is stacked.

Will likely be on Shogun
Considering Browne (Im a big fan of his)
Probably be on Matt Brown

You boys ready to get this one going early, I like it. :badass:

Still waiting on lazy 5dimes to put up the whole card but definitely like Shogun ITD @ +155 as he seems to have taken training seriously for this fight. Sonnen has been licensed with a TRT exemption and I definitely think he controls this fight early but he showed signs of slowing at the end of the Bisping fight and five rounds without brain farting is a VERY tall order to ask of him.

Sonnen has much more trouble controlling 205 pounders than he does 185 pounders. Not only that, the fight will take place 2 ways on the feet and/or Shogun on his back. In either position, Shogun can win the fight.

Sonnen had a ton of trouble with Bisping and I see Shogun as a bigger and better fighter.

Full Card up on 5dimes.

Are you guys not excited about the showtime benson fight? Im so over Benson and Frankie, these guys who grind out decisions. Pettis has that swagger and killer instinct. Really hoping he takes care of Benson.

What are we basing this off of? How many 205ers has he fought?

Jon Jones who absolutely destroyed him wrestling. Look at the guys he's out wrestled for decisions......they are all either small 185 pounders or guys that have moved to 170. Sonnen even had trouble with Bisping, who isn't a great wrestler at all.

Jon Jones is a huge 205 who Will likely be fighting heavyweight his next fight if he doesn't fight dc.

I think that's an unfair assumption. I don't see him struggling to get rua to the mat.

Jones is no bigger than Sonnen, imo. And Jones is far from a decorated wrestler. It's going to be harder for Sonnen to control Shogun than it was for him to control Bisping/Stann/Silva/Maia, etc.

So far I'm on:
Sonnen / Shogun o2.5 rds @ -200 to win 1.5u.
Browne / Reem u1.5 @ -145 to win 1.5u.

Sonnen total has gone against me probably due to Sonnen saying his camp has been a mess on the media conference call yesterday. I still think with his TRT exemption he'll be able to control Shogun in the first half of this fight, but as I've already stated, he definitely was struggling at the end of the Bisping fight and I highly doubt he's able to keep Shogun down in the fight's second half. Shogun doesn't have much of an offensive sub game but he is excellent at working sweeps and being able to get fights back to the feet. Funny how u2.5 rds price got worse but Shogun ITD price got better (independent markets, I know.) Shogun win in rd 4 +1650 and win in rd 5 +2450 look pretty tasty to me.

This is not a fight I'm thoroughly convinced on, but I do see Shogun getting the KO. I think it happens 2-3 round.

Dana offered diaz the fight vs machida at 85! Sick fight here, although Lyoto would have a huge size advantage.

Definitely agree with Sonnen struggling to control Shogun once he gets him down. Shogun is one of the best fighters on the planet at getting a fight back to the feet from his back but why this fight is intriguing to me is because of two hard to answer questions. How effective will Shogun's questionable TDD be, and at what point in the fight will Sonnen tire from repeated take down spamming? My thinking is that Sonnen is going to land take downs in the fight fairly easily in the first two rounds assuming he avoids stupid shit like throwing a spinning back fist in the second Silva fight. Once the fight gets into the middle rounds though the question will be what Sonnen will wee see? Is it the TRT monster (17:1 ratio) in the first Silva fight who looked as fresh in the championship rounds as the first round or the guy in the Bisping fight who was clearly laboring very hard at the end? I think probably the latter because even though he should get Shogun to the ground easier he's going to expend a ton of energy trying to keep him there. If this fight ends up being a battle of two gassed fighters after round two or three my money is on Shogun catching Sonnen due to what we know: Shogun is one of the most dangerous gassed fighters on the planet and Sonnen's ability to at some point mentally melt down during a fight.

FWIW I capped Shogun by r1 or 2 stoppage or some fluke Sonnen by stoppage at 20% and, as stated already, see a lot of value in the Shogun rds 3-5 stoppage props.

Reem definitely should be the favorite in this fight as he's vastly superior on the feet than Browne but there's no way I can lay -200+ on that chin or the fact that he has wilted to most guys willing to put pressure on him. Browne has already said he doesn't plan on taking a step backward in this fight which, to me, sounds like a very high variance fight that could end very quickly. Browne by KO/TKO +310 definitely looks like value.

I like Hapa Browne is this fight as I think he can land a big one in TKO fashion. Never was big believer in steroid boy and he struggled against solid competition plus with the glass chin! Reem is also NOT a natural HW and that's a big difference in any fight! Natural weight > synthetic weight!

Also a cross parlay with LAD/Brandao and LAD/J-Lau

good luck guys, these free ones are always the best!
