I took Lawler and have been following him for a long time, he fought many times in Hawaii.

The fight was even going into the 5th and JH showed more heart...tough SOB. Lawler was picking him apart in the pocket, but could not put JH away.

Good fight by both men and JH's right eye looked really messed up in the 4th, that should've been Lawler's time to pounce on him..as he did!

Lawler kept eating many leg kicks and normally he throws those kicks, but said he wasn't feeling it and didn't utilize it.

Good win for JH as he should've won the belt against GSP imo....dude deserved it as he showed heart and didn't go down early with the noodle legs.

Lawler has always been known to gas and he looked in control until the last 2 minutes when he got in the flurry....he's a very humble guy and a rematch down the road should be good.

Just re watched 1. Changed opinion. Think JH won round 1. It was pretty close tho.

Will watch tomorrow sober Dollaz. Considering what the books had for live lines I think I would tend to agree.

IMO Lawler's downfall was his unwillingness to throw the left body kick to the liver. Hendricks right hand was planted to his face after the first two or three lefts and Lawler never threw that body kick. I was screaming after round two for him to throw that kick.

that's pretty sad, I thought JH won the 1st rd and 2nd, and he certainly did enough and with the take down at the end of 5 won the last rd.....great fight though
