Tulsa is gonna beat down Ball state-

I have heard that the assistants still working for Ball are currently on the mad job hunt right now.....Most will not likely be retained for next year. New guy lookin to bring in his own people.
 
that is true APLOUS--

a talented great team like a BCS school could maybe overcome all that and put in a good game tonight--

But when you have a MAC TEAM-
Less talented
undersized
head coach who left the team and was calling the D schemes
losing thier last game and not practicing very much after

playing a team where they dont consider it a team worthy enough for anyone to care if they win, its not a named team.

Tulsa has the motivation, they will want to beat BALL state good to end this year.

They also should have most of the crowd also.

That's about as personal of an attack as there has ever been made about me at this place.

I sure hope the Cardinals play well but those who know me know that I have bet against them just as much as I have bet on them in the last few years.

I had them against Navy and got the cash in week 2.

I was against them plus 21 against Kent State and got a push in week 5.

I was against them at Western Kentucky +17 and got a push in week 7.

I was on them Oct 25 against Eastern Michigan and got it shoved up my ass (38-16).

And I was on them against Buffalo.

Five bets, three on, two against. Not exactly what I would consider a homer...

no idea on the total really--

Tulsa lost a few games and i hear a lot of negativity on the losses--

A loss to ARKY is not that bad, by 7 poins, they beat LSU--

Losing to Houston is no big deal giving up 70 is not a big deal, when rice, houston and tulsa are on they score points, all 3 of these teams can hang 60 on someone.

so gving 70 is no big deal at all to houston. When houston is on they are on--

losing to ECU is no big deal either- they threw 5 ints o ecu who has a lethal secondary- still tulsa was tied in the 4h qtr of this game-

TULSA only got in trouble when they threw ints in games--

BAll states biggest interceptor was a freshman safety- he has 6 ints he is a freshman i doubt it he knows tulsa offense and how to read it--

I really think Tulsa will have its was with ball state whos defense is not good-

I am not sold on Ball state- even the 4 bowl teams they beat teh teams in the bowl games beat them worse, much worse, where ball state was competitive wih buffalo, western kentucky, central michigan and some games were at home-

Ball state does not have the better defense- you will see tonight---

ball state has not played a legit offense- they will tonight---

I dont see how a mac team stops a wide open pass and run oriented offense, they are smaller, slower, weaker, not fast, they can stop other mac teams but that is it.

Tulsa will get fired up from the crowd and look for them to sack Davis early on in this game, as the d will be fired up in this game---

Tulsa is a dangerous team, ball state will prove what the mac is once again.

Good health tonight Sammy. You make compelling arguments for Tulsa but I don't agree with everything you've typed - especially about Davis - this kid is the goods.

P&G - It's a little different now. I'm a Colts fan. I bet the Colts. But the other night, due to let's say the "economic situation" on that game at my store, I had to root for the Chargers...

I am a lot better about betting and booking with my head rather than my heart than I used to be, say 4-5 years ago.

Tulsa</st1:City> is bigger, faster, stronger, and better. Rainstorm or no rain storm, there really is no comparison between these two teams. Testicle U is a pretender as a top 25 team IMO.

Dammit Sammy, if you weren't so crazy I think I would have listened to you and pulled the trigger on the Golden Shower. It's just too hard for me to tell if you're coherent or been sniffing glue in the parking lot with TONY THE PLUMBER or whatever his name is.

I have a style, it may come across as politically incorrect but the point is to win and thats all that matters. JGALT I understand the game of football, that is how I called Davis out before this game, I saw him play abou 5 games this year, so I had a good idea of his skill. I knew his game inside out--

I think Bill Polian has seen enough of DAVIS, if he is at this game he will be drafting a QB, but it will be Johnson of TULSA-

Polian cant even draft DAVIS as scout team QB because he cant even hold the clipboard he would drop it all over the place :36_11_6:

Seriously though my thoughts were true about DAVIS, there is MEL KIPER , then there is SAMMY KIPER, DAVIS is not NFL material plain and simple, I dont think he was very overrated though because the NFL scouts know he stinks, they are just talking him up a bit, they do that to certain players.

he is what i called him, an average QB, and certainly one of the most overrated Qb's in college football in a while.

After more consideration I am removing as a future CFL prospect also. He does not have CFL ability either. I see very little that he does well, good guy but he is no quarterback.

People can call me stupid about making comment about Davis being an average QB, how stupid does that comment look now?
 
Wiseplayer humans are attracted to numbers and stats. There is fascination with perfection and percentages. A lot of Davis hype was the undefeated talk and the fact they were going undefeated. If there were no televisions you would never hear anything about DAVIS. College football is hurting for QB's to market now so they take the most marketable guy, DAVIS was it, undefeated QB playing for small school, learning disability, good looks, good stats throwing.

Its all about perfection and percentages-

I originally posted this and this is what I thought before the game.

COmedy line #1- Tulsa is not playing a physical stronger atheltic CUSA Defense-

Comedy line #2- Ball state is playing a high scorign CUSA team with faster athletes and more speed and better qb and better schemes- Ball state played no good offensive teams this year period, maybe buffalo and they got 42.

Comedy line #3- Nate Davis is going nowhere tonight, Tulsa will be fired up and stop him tonight, he is not that great, he will find that CUSA db's are faster and close better, he will learn the hard way tonight. Add in teh pressure of the bogus NFL talk and I expect a complete collapse from him today. He is not good, so he should show us why he was in the mac in the first place, the loss to buffalo was no fluke, guys like davis choke, he reminds me of NEALON GREENE in clemson. DAVIS has done absolutely nothing vs good competition- Today he plays his best competition of the year. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I was able to know that fumbling 4 times is not a fluke, it is the way he plays, he does not value the ball, not a real smart player. CUSA db's were all over the ball state receivers, they were just faster kids playing corner tonight. In the MAC any qb can throw to receivers casue they are usually wide open. CUSA is an athletic conference.
The NFL talk is all premature, they are desperate for QB's in the NFL, even if you are average you can be on a team holding a clipboard anyway.

Its about the media convincing us, I block out media and believe about 50% OF WHAT I SEE--

WIth a game what we sometimes see with our own eyes is our worst poison.

I saw very little from Davis before this game for NFL talk, and after the game it only further cements my view that this guy is a very very average QB, in fact I may have to put him as below average QB. Vs the Tulsa D he had no success passing at all and was completely inaccurate missing guys all night long.

How many QB's fumble 4 times in a game, and then 2 right away next and then a few more later? Good QB's dont do that, its that simple.
I knew from losing 4 fumbles that is not a quarterback, there is something wrong with that players head.
Looking at him on the sidelines looks like he has no idea how to act or behave, I was very confident after the 2nd fumble, this guy turned in one of the worst bowl performances of all the QB's certainly and he was facing a team with litlte defense. And he had a lot of time to throw also so that was not the issue.:shake:
 
nice call, sucks that i was at work and thought kickoff would be later... got an ingame in at tulsa ml -130 for a medium bet, but i wish i crushed it looking back at it now...oh well. Keep up the good work, i assume you're on the gators tomorrow.

Both teams are brilliant, very good matchup. Of course I would like to say its an even matchup with 2 good teams, but in reality one of these teams IMO will win the game and be heads and shoulders better.

I have no issues with either team, but I do like MEYER as a big game coach, however OU is no slouch and I am impressed with Bradford and that squad, their offense is better than any Sec offense. It should be a great game to watch.

I am looking for decided advantages in games, not sure I see it here either way. I have LIVE BETTING on it, which is perhaps the route I take.

I know everyone has GATORS here, and putting your money with MEYER is a pretty good bet as he is very CLEVER.

ALso the facts about TEBOW not wanting to lose also is a factor although I though KOBE would not lose last year in NBA finals and PEYTON manning would not lose first round.

These are the 2 best teams though I think, the key is which is hard is to figure out whose style is better and who has prepared better for the game.

I think OU is a little mystery which is dangerous in this game, not hearing too much out of their camp on what they are doing to prepare.

This game will most likely be won in the trenches, the O and D LINES-

I read the post yesterday and mostly agreed but figured this game was gonna be like watching geriatric porn and didn;t pulled the trigger. I shoulda because it was easy money. Good job meat.

Try being humble for a change, Sammy. Again, nice call...you don't have to toot your own horn.

IMO, your comment still looks dumb. Davis played at a sub-par level for two games (played really bad last night). Just because a QB has two bad games, doesn't mean he's a below-average QB.

Davis is still a very good QB, IMO. For one, he's still only a Junior. The kid still has another year to learn and develop his skills, and improve his accuracy further. Look at the numbers he put up this season...they speak for themselves.

Tulsa was just the better team...plain and simple. I can give you a long list of AVERAGE QBs. Davis would definitely NOT be on that list. Is he elite at this stage? Probably not. But does he have potential? Absolutely.
