We will probably be catching a nice price on DLR wednesday and I really don't like Strasburg, but not sure how we can back a team that is scuffling at the plate and can't win a close game because their bullpen is so bad. Probably can't hold a lead either

Koehler has at least shown flashes of being really good, so against Teheran I was a little surprised at how uneven it was. This matchup tonight has me scratching my head. Unless its so lopsided since Turner has been pitching from the pen here

Why KC? Here's my thoughts:

Seems to be a recurring theme today. Two teams headed in opposite directions. Not sure on what planet, the Royals should be favored here. KC is 1-7 their L8 and 9-18 their L27. The WSox are 9-6 their L15. Sox starter, Scott Carroll turned into Cy Young his last two starts facing two of the most powerful AL offenses on the road (Cleveland and Boston) and he tossed a combined 11 2/3 innings of 3 hit shutout ball with an 8:3 K:BB ratio. Meanwhile, Bruce Chen may be headed toward the end of his long career. He struggled in three AAA starts in June with a 8.22 ERA and has a 6.46 MLB ERA this season. In Chen’s last 8 road starts, dating back to last season, he has tossed 34 1/3 innings and allowed 44 hits, 29 earned runs (7.60 ERA) with a 21:13 K:BB ratio

Seems to be a recurring theme today. Two teams headed in opposite directions. Not sure on what planet, the Royals should be favored here. KC is 1-7 their L8 and 9-18 their L27. The WSox are 9-6 their L15. Sox starter, Scott Carroll turned into Cy Young his last two starts facing two of the most powerful AL offenses on the road (Cleveland and Boston) and he tossed a combined 11 2/3 innings of 3 hit shutout ball with an 8:3 K:BB ratio. Meanwhile, Bruce Chen may be headed toward the end of his long career. He struggled in three AAA starts in June with a 8.22 ERA and has a 6.46 MLB ERA this season. In Chen’s last 8 road starts, dating back to last season, he has tossed 34 1/3 innings and allowed 44 hits, 29 earned runs (7.60 ERA) with a 21:13 K:BB ratio

KC smoked Carroll on the last go round. Yes Carroll had a few nice recent outings, but he was very bad before that. He is not good. KC bats are due and they should produce tonight. Don't see them getting swept in back to back series. So i am considering playing KC for .5u tonight, then doubling up on them tomorrow if they lose with Shields on the hill. Chen is certainly keeping me from making a play at the current moment. Still might hold off on a play and just hope they lose, then play on Shields tomorrow.

...and to be truthful, Carroll got screwed by his defense when he had a really bad outing vs KC at Kaufman

KC bats just unlucky and will turn things around. Tonight is a good spot for them. Look at the pitcher's they've faced during this rough stretch -- pretty strong. Tonight will be a relief facing Carroll.

Austin - thanks for the info on Waino. I rarely play faves this high but I'll get involved here. I'm sure he's eager to get back on the hill after the all star debacle and at this price at home vs the Rays offense I see no reason why he doesn't do his normal thing.

Good thoughts on KC fellas. Royals should come back to form over the next two weeks. Backing Chen takes a hell of a strong stomach but agree they are the side tonight
