Despaigne came into last start needing to correct some shit in a major way. He fucked up and allowed a homer in the first inning and it looked like big trouble, but he settled down and pitched five scoreless after that.
SD fucked Despaigner up when they moved him to the bullpen after three decent starts at the beginning of the season. True that he doesn't pitch as well on the road, but he was put in a tough spot and needed to get stretched out again. I think those two poor starts were in a large part due to rust and getting thrown out of his routine. His last outing against the Cubs was more representative of what he can do if given an oppty.
