Under in GS at first glance. My numbers put this total at 195-199. Going to wait and see what the line does

Kings are worth a bet today. Still looking at this but have no real doubt I take them. Good situational play
A little surprised. Memphis is minus 3.5 with Randolph listed doubtful. Honestly with him playing this seems high.

So, let’s talk about Phoenix. Who would have the Suns and the Grizzlies would be just a half game apart from each other? Not even Sports Illustrated. After a demoralizing home loss to the struggling Nets, the Grzzlies will try to set things right against the youthful Suns, who have been the biggest surprise in the league. Let’s see if the Grizz can teach those young punks a lesson….
Expected Starting Lineups:
goran_dragic.png

Mike Conley vs Goran Dragic
Dragic is a tricky guy to pinpoint. He’s probably one of the better point guards in the league – although there are so many good ones that it’s hard to tell – but mostly, he’s a streaky player. Dragic has always been one of the more energetic guards in the league – think back to his early years as Nash’s backup on the 09-10 Suns – and he’s the kind of guy who can score 13 points in the first quarter. The thing is, he’ll end up with just 19 for the game. Look for Dragic to get tired after a night of dealing with Conley, who will push him to his limit throughout the game.
Advantage: Memphis
tony_allen.png
eric_bledsoe.png

Tony Allen vs Eric Bledsoe
The Clippers must wish they could have this one back, right? I mean, Jared Dudley is fine and all, but Bledsoe looks like a stud, and should be a huge piece going forward for the Suns. And when you watch him succeed as a 2-guard you have to think they wish they had tried that last year. I mean, a CP3-Bledsoe backcourt would have been electric, but it wasn’t meant to be. Probably a good thing for the Grizzlies, really. Anyway, Bledsoe vs. Allen should be a fascinating matchup, as both players are high-energy guys, and should push each other all game along. If Tony’s knockout perimeter can keep Bledsoe from having a big game, the Grizzlies will be in good shape.
Advantage: Phoenix
tayshaun_prince.png
pj_tucker.png

Tayshaun Prince vs PJ Tucker
Oh, come on! Look, I love being challenged as a writer, but this is just too boring. This is like eating unflavored oatmeal while watching paint dry. Okay, fine, Tucker should some credit for emerging as a solid role player, when most people forgot he existed, and Prince’s shots have been falling a little more frequently lately. But man, this Dullsville, USA. Of course, now that I’ve said that, they’ll probably combine for like 75 points or something. So..that’ll be fun.
Advantage: Memphis
zach_randolph.png
channing_frye.png

Zach Randolph vs Channing Frye
How do you know you’re team is snakebit? When you’re best player goes down for two months, and then your second best player goes down with a toenail injury. Not that I’m blaming Z-Bo – he’s a mighty tough dude, and if he couldn’t play, he couldn’t play. But man, of all the things, and of course it happens this season. Anyway if Z-Bo returns tonight, he’ll have a matchup with Channing Frye, who is his polar opposite, a stretch four who is rarely physical, but compensates for that with his excellent shooting. These players do share a common trait; they were both trapped on Isiah’s awful Knicks teams, and reached their full potential upon entering better situations.
Advantage: Memphis

Kosta Koufos vs Miles Plumlee
Who would have thought both Plumlees would be rotation players in the NBA this soon? I’m guessing it doesn’t go far beyond Mr. and Mrs. Plumlee. Still, Plumlee has proven surprisingly effective, when most thought the center position would be a void for the Suns after they traded Marcin Gortat to the Washington Wizards. Koufos has been solid since entering the lineup for the Grizzlies – especially in terms of rebounding, but we have yet to see him really take over a game. His offense has gone down from last season in Denver, as his shooting percentage has dropped by nearly 10 points. This could be the resulting into a different, slower-paced offense, but it would be nice to see Koufos display some of the efficiency that marked his time with the Nuggets.
Advantage: ?
Benches:
jerryd_bayless.png
gerald_green.png

After struggling with the Pacers last year, Gerald Green is having a big comeback year. You can see why it didn’t work in Indiana – they’re a slow, defensive team, and Green is fun, explosive, and occasionally irresponsible. That sort of mismatch can work if you make it fit – see Nate Robinson’s time with the Bulls – but if not, it’s just uncomfortable for everyone. Ish Smith is the sort of point guard that bounces around a lot, always just good enough to keep a job, but not much more. As for the Grizz, let’s hope Qpon never gets another DNP-CD again, because man, did he explode against the Nets. He single-handedly made it a game again in the early fourth. We all know what happened next, but wow! Also, Ed Davis still hasn’t been consistent, but he has had some highlight reel plays, and you get the feeling a big game is coming. Oh, and MORRIS TWIN POWERS ACTIVATE! Seriously, they’ve both been pretty effective. How cool would it be if the Lopez twins ended up on the same team? Okay, I’m getting off-topic here. Anyway, slight edge to the Suns for the bench.
Advantage: Phoenix

Kostos has been doing a very good job replacing Gasol on rebounds but Gasol is elite in so many ways. Defense and offense which Kostos simply can not.
Gasol and Randolph make combined about 32 million. That is almost half the total payroll of the team. A simple reality is that Memphis has covered 1 home spread this year and is catching the Suns after the home loss to Utah, after 2 days off, and with a road game at Houston the next day. This is almost the same situation the Suns were in playing at Orlando the day before they played at Miami. Then they played without Bledsoe.
Most people over estimate injuries. In this spot though it is going to be very hard for Memphis to win games.
That said I like the Kings better.

I think that Suns first half bet is better than full game bet.

As for the Kings, I think that Thunder will win, but not sure at all they will cover.

I don't know why no one is talking about, but Durant plays absolutely horrible this season so far. He misses shots he used to make with his eyes shot and too many times, because of his poor shooting, he is afraid to take shots.

I'm also curious, after Blazers win tonight, will they be favorites against the Thunder tomorrow...

Last game at home before a 4 game road trip for the Mavs. I think they handle CHAR tonight. Though CHAR has been good ATS on the road.

initially liked the nuggets but im just going to stay away completely... normally i would think the nets would be looking ahead to the knicks, but that matchup is not going to be hyped up as originally planned

I really hope this is a joke, but I have a feeling it's not. He's a career 47% shooter who is shooting 46%. Yes, he shot a higher % the last two years, both floating around 50%, but who cares? It's a 15 game sample where he's missing 1 extra shot in 20!?!? He's also getting to the line with more frequency, so his scoring average is the same, and still crashing the boards and showing an increase in assists. Durant is phenomenal.

Hard to pass up Kings. They have 3 days off after this game so they can hit this game with everything. OKC has beaten them 6 in a row and could not care less about the game. OKC has had a habit of doing well off an ATS loss and they certainly want to win at Portland and they are coming off an ATS win. So I get the team that actually cares about the game and get to bet against a team that actually does not want to cover.
Agree with Suns first half and have bet it. Adding Miami first quarter over 50.5 and Miami small minus 3.5. Reasoning look at the first quarter results for Miami after losses. The Bobcats game was essentially a bad loss.

gotta disagree that Miami sees charlotte game as a loss. Think they're just as likely to do the same, since they cake walked through 3 quarters, turned it on at the end, and still got a W and even better got to entertain themselves. On Detroit 1st H, so maybe can both win

also on GS 1st H. Shitty road trip and need to handle this game. We've been doing great at home in 1st Hs whereas Toronto tends to perform better in 2nd Hs

Also, will be small on Philly. Seems like a sucker bet, but w/e. Orlando on a b2b without its starting PG and C. Semi home and home with orlando beating philly in orlando just last week.

Nets assistant coach Lawrence Frank will no longer be on the sidelines during games, as a difference in philosophies with Jason Kidd led to his being "reassigned."
Frank was a vocal presence on the bench and served as a 'defensive coordinator', but the Nets rank 29th in the NBA in defensive efficiency and Kidd didn't waste much time ousting him.

Philosophical differences on how to hold one's drink perhaps?

Frank was a vocal presence on the bench and served as a 'defensive coordinator', but the Nets rank 29th in the NBA in defensive efficiency and Kidd didn't waste much time ousting him.

Joke is your capping and your reasoning, this is simple facts.
You talks to me about stats, I'm talking to you about basketball, but I guess you never heard of such a sport...

Durant really in a shooting slump and he started to afraid to take good shots lately. He misses shots that he usually makes with his eyes close and that effects the team a lot.
Try to watch the games sometimes instead of just looking at stats...

As the site mush...I'm not so sure I would talk so big. But good for you! Good luck.

lol at Kidd removing Frank from the bench. What a cluster. He was the one who petitioned to get him there, and have him as the highest paid assistant in the league.

30-13 Westbrook and ref assisted run by the Kings to close out the 4th. OKC up 17 with under 9 to go, win by 2. Spread was 6.5 - 8.5, lol.

Was the local game here on TV, no money involved. Just funny to watch.

They had the same assistance of a run the other way before that. Would have been a SICK beat for Kings backers to lose that game, getting 9 points and being up 12 at the end of the first and down 1 late in the 3rd before a monster Thunder run. Of course, on a night when Raptors bettors took one of the worst beats in history...luckily everywhere around me had an 8.5 line and the only book I could actually use last night never moved off 7.5, so I said fuck it. Was tilted for almost the entire game lol
